Hi everyone!

I’m starting a VLCD (Slim and Save) on 1st Jan and wondering is anyone starting too? Or Cambridge, Exabte etc and maybe we could keep each other motivated?

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better about it all pita.

I had a similar 'is this worth it?!' moment on Thursday which was only day four for me!

Back on TS until Friday now. Deep joy.

Eliza9917 · 14/01/2019 11:21

Eliza, am still sticking with the squats, my inner thighs are on fire! Any tips for gentle stomach exercises? I have had 2 c -sections so zero core strength. It's just a massive jelly belly and worried it's going to look even worse if I lose weight quickly. Should I try planks maybe?

I found the fitness blender videos on youtube really good, I used to do these 3:

Squats -
Standing abs -
Arms -

I had a terrible weekend. I think I need to stick to 3 packs only, and only have eggs if I need to eat back calories from exercise. TBH I doubt I need to eat them back if only doing a 20-30 swim, I only made it in to the actual gym once last week.

rainbowgrimm · 14/01/2019 13:01

Fitness blender looks really good, thanks for the tip. I did 30day shred this morning but had to substitute the jumping bits due to my knee injury. I saw a weighted hula hoop in home bargains earlier that I'm tempted by.
Today's my day off and I've spent the morning posting the stuff I've decluttered on lots of selling sites, hoping any extra pennies can go in the new clothes fund.

rainbowgrimm · 14/01/2019 14:36

Anyone got a good shaker they can recommend? Now I'm in it for the longhall I want something better. Now for the fussy part - I have a really sensitive sense of smell & hate the smell of plastic ones, so I probably want metal or glass but needs to be dishwasher safe. Any suggestions or are you all much less awkward then me?

Pitapotamus · 14/01/2019 15:51

I can’t help because I use the plastic ones, but I do pour my shake into a nice glass so that I feel better about drinking it!!

Eliza9917 · 14/01/2019 16:28

@Rainbowgrimm I've got my eye on one of these www.ebay.co.uk/itm/500ML-Portable-Juice-Maker-Bottle-Cup-Electrical-USB-Rechargeable-Blender-Travel/362499150985?

rainbowgrimm · 14/01/2019 16:30

Why has that very simple solution not occured to me???
I've been back to home bargains for the weighted hula hoop, my 5year old is much better at it than me Blush

rainbowgrimm · 14/01/2019 16:31

Eliza9917 - wow! That's a pretty impressive bit of kit!

BishopBrennansArse · 14/01/2019 16:45

I'm in the no trust fart zone 😳

ClashCityRocker · 14/01/2019 20:05

bishopbrennansarse yup. I've been there. It did improve though.

I've found the bars are the worst for given me wind.

Back on TS today, and flicking to flexi at the weekend doesn't seem to have done any harm, thankfully. I've had porridge, a bar and will have a shake later but am not particularly hungry.

I want the bloody dhaal pots to come back in stock soon! Slightly concerned that exante may have issues with keeping stuff in stock... That could cause problems!

BeetlebumShesAGun · 14/01/2019 20:09

Oh god the farting.

I came off over the weekend as I was celebrating my birthday (it was in November but it was a big birthday and DM bought me tickets to the ballet for Friday so we made a weekend of it). Back on it today. Had the golden syrup porridge for dinner and it was really nice. I think the sweet options on a Exante are so much better than the savoury.

I’m also waiting for the Dhaal pots!

Weigh in tomorrow. I’m expecting to have gained...

Eliza9917 · 14/01/2019 20:13

Don't have more than one bar a day, the paste type can give diahhrea i can never spell that

BishopBrennansArse · 14/01/2019 20:39

Without being too gross I mean I can't trust my farts to be farts. 😳

BishopBrennansArse · 14/01/2019 20:41

What are the Dhaal pots like? So far not impressed with the sweet and sour. Are the black bean beef pots ok?

Pitapotamus · 14/01/2019 20:56

The Dhaal pots are Ok, but I thought that about the sweet and sour noodles too.

I’ve cracked today, had two slices of gammon and a slither of quiche as well as four packs rather than three and about 5 cups of tea with milk. Dammit. I bet I actually manage to put on weight after today!!

Aridane · 14/01/2019 21:26

Dhal pots are actually pretty good Shock

Aridane · 14/01/2019 21:27

I don’t mind the spaghetti Bol even though basically it’s just the equivalent of a couple tablespoon bolognaise and that’s all

ClashCityRocker · 14/01/2019 21:38

I like the dhal pots. I think they're the closest thing I've had that vaguely resemble food.

Black bean pot OK, but needs soy sauce adding to it.

The spag bol had a weird taste but I might give it another bash.

I've taken to fantasising that I'm an astronaut on a deep space mission and have to subsist on special nasa created food substitutes.

Aridane · 15/01/2019 00:55

Lol (re astronaut);- and agree on dhal

Jarviscockup · 15/01/2019 07:27

Second week weigh in and I've lost a stone in total sonce I started! Starting weight 18 stone. Lost 9lbs first week. 5lbs this week. Now 17 stone. Can't wait to get into the 16s.
I've nearly cheated so many times but I have actually stuck to it 100%. Let's see if I can do another week! I'm on Slim n Save by the way. Keep going everyone, you're all doing amazing. Op how are you getting on?

BeetlebumShesAGun · 15/01/2019 08:01

Actually managed to lose 1lb this week, which considering the cocktails I inhaled is impressive. 1/2 stone lost in 2 weeks!

Eliza9917 · 15/01/2019 10:31

I'm really struggling, I'm really tempted to go keto.

Kittensgalore · 15/01/2019 11:09

It sounds like you are really active Eliza so keto might work for you? Thanks for the fitness blender stuff, it looks great, just need some motivation to move. Right now am at work, freezing cold & bored. Tried to saviour a mini baby bel as my mid morning snack rather than just inhaling. Have a Dahl pot for lunch but it can't come quick enough.
This is ridiculously tough.
Well done Bettle and Jarvis, awesome losses. I know from these & similar posts that it will work if I stick with it.

Kittensgalore · 15/01/2019 11:21

I didn't like the spag Bol when I tried it, thought it might work better if I add some flavouring or something but it just isn't that nice. Will also try it again though. Couldn't see the Dahl pots when I ordered some more bits and pieces the other day which is really annoying.
The caramel frappe latte made hot with coffee is delicious.

Kittensgalore · 15/01/2019 11:22

Sorry for endless posts keep remembering stuff. Meant to add Eliza that my maintenance plan (if I get there) is some kind of long term keto/5:2 combo
