Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me - not overweight but would like to lose a few pounds?
I am 5’ 3” and weigh 9stone. I look ok, but def have lots of wobbly bits despite running and a couple of hiit sessions a week.
Would love to get to 8st 7lb, but my love of wine and salty snacks does not help! Eat mostly healthily apart from this.
Have been using happyscale to weigh every day, managed to get to 8st 11.5lb earlier in the month but now back to where I started 🙄.
Any tips from anyone? First world problem I know!

I've been missing in action on this thread-but been keeping on keeping on. Lost 4lb overall, which isn't amazing but takes me to a size that I feel comfortable.

On holiday in two weeks, so hoping for another couple off before then. Bizarrely I usually lose weight on holiday because I snack less- I usually work from home and have to fight the urge to nip back and for to the fridge all day!

Good week for me after 3 slow weeks. 9 st 3.5 lbs today, lost 4.5 lbs, no alcohol, lots and lots of veg, practically no carbs, was strict and it paid off, think my hormones must be in right place too. Feel good. How is everyone doing?

Back from holiday and put back on the 4lb that had taken me as many months to lose! Off the booze and bread now, back on the running, so hopefully I can turn it back round again. Except that I went arse over tit on my first run back this morning - massive bruises over hip and shoulder, and only achieved a very slow 4km. Gah!

Well done Westwing1 - your weight means that you are now just below 130 pounds. You have leapfrogged me, but I am happy with another one pound loss and am now 9 stone and 6 pounds (132 pounds).

PuntC sorry to hear of your tumble - think you are right that the extra four pounds will come off quickly when you ditch the carbs.

Hi mmmmdanone there seem to be a fair number of us around the same weight here. I am aiming to get down to 9 stone (although slightly under would be good Smile).

Would be interested to know how much weight most people need to lose before they can feel the difference with their clothing, eg trousers less tight?

I'm back on it this week after holiday. I'm 9.4 this morning and. Only need to get to 9 stone ... as soon as I hit 9.5 all my clothes feel tight and my tummy and boobs expand

Thanks burning and Ihopeyourcakeisshit, it is very strange to be so near my goal. I started the year at 10 st 12 and it took me ages to get under 10 stone. Can't believe I am nearly 9 st. Feel much better. Have a good week everyone.

Is it too late to join? Have 6lbs to lose. Will take me about 8 weeks from previous experience. It’d be easier to literally pride the fat off my arse, my body’s so resistant to losing it!

I'm still the same 8st12ish, have taken the scenic route though with school holidays etc. Not lo carbing anymore, just eating less. My aim overall is 8st7, but would rather maintain where I am now than put it back on again. I have just under three weeks left until the kids are back at school. If I could be 8st10 by then I would be delighted. Slowly but surely.

Hi All - well done with progress so far!! I've been lurking, but have lost about a stone veeeery slowly this year. Currently stuck at 9 st 7ish and my ideal weight is 9 stone 2. The previous loss was an okay process, but seems like this last few is going to be tougher. Currently on holiday and just trying to avoid any major gain!

Back down to 8st11lb this morning. And managed a 5.5km run today. Still have an enormous bruise on my hip from Monday's tumble, and the run was still slow, but then I had been pretty slack about runs in the hot weather so I guess I am going to have to build up again.

Was at 9.1 18th of July, now at 8.10.8. Creeping down slowly. My goal is 8st and the target is end of September. It's a slog!

I kept forgetting to weigh myself! But today i'm down from 138lb to 136. Going on the right direction at least.

Please can I join late? I started the summer at 10st 6lbs, and I'm down to 10st 2 lbs (5'7"). I ideally want to be down to 9st 6lbs and stay there! (hopefully leaving teaching and therefore biscuits will help). I low carb which works slowly, but isn't too hard to maintain. Low cal makes me very very hangry!

I have my period, I've had an absolutely shitty week for a number of reasons.
I'm drinking wine and feeling very sorry for myself.
I'll check in next week, hopefully being more positive .

Hi!

Can I be a late joiner? I'm 5 ft 3 and a bit. I've got down to 9st 3 but had been aiming for 8st 8 fairly arbitrarily.

I've gained and lost the same 3 or 4lb about 4 times. I was just over 12 st originally, but am annoyed that I can't get the last few lb off.

I also use mfp and do find it effective. I'm a bit crap at sticking to 1400 calories or less, even when I can see it's working. Probably if I had a few weeks of no alcohol it would help. I don't drink a lot, but it's all added calories and I snack way more when I'm drinking. 😳

Hi everyone, welcome new joiners Piglet and Galvantula. Ihopeyourcakeisshit I feel your frustration, week of period can be impossible, I think gaining is quite normal for that week. Okay week for me, lost a couple of pounds. 9st 1.5 this morning. Feel blah. I weighed yesterday and I was 9st 0 lbs (my goal) and I was chuffed, had a steak, greens, water and I am back up, oh well. Weighing can mess with your head sometimes. I might try and do some exercise today which I haven't done all summer, mix things up a bit.

I've not done much exercise either. I'm back to weighing more regularly. I was almost down to exactly 9st last year... Took my eye off and didn't weigh myself for a month. Then I was 9 st 3. 🙈

I knew I'd been eating more because of mfp. I tend to overeat, then feel crap about it then overeat. That was the first time in ages I got into that cycle though.

Hoping this thread will be motivation to keep at it. Smile

Hi - I'm still alive! And seem to have stabilised at 8 stone 6, despite a few really bad days over the last couple of weeks - I'll take that!

I am planning to wear my goal trousers for a night out a week on Saturday. I tried them on yesterday and I can get into them - being able to move is a bonus Grin
