Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me - not overweight but would like to lose a few pounds?
I am 5’ 3” and weigh 9stone. I look ok, but def have lots of wobbly bits despite running and a couple of hiit sessions a week.
Would love to get to 8st 7lb, but my love of wine and salty snacks does not help! Eat mostly healthily apart from this.
Have been using happyscale to weigh every day, managed to get to 8st 11.5lb earlier in the month but now back to where I started 🙄.
Any tips from anyone? First world problem I know!

Hurrah, weighed in at 8.8 today (1lb off since last week) which tbh I'm not at all sure how I managed because it was a shocker of a week food wise. Still 4 or 5 lbs to go...these are the hardest ones though!

It went a bit horribly wrong for me last week - I ended up in hospital! So not only did I have no choice at all in food, I was also hooked up to a heart rate monitor so could only move as far as the leads would go, and had a stupidly low heart rate so didn't think I was burning any calories!

Anyway they let me out yesterday evening, wasn't expecting much but I weighed myself this morning anyway - and I'm 8 stone 5 - 2lbs down from last week! I am now thinking of stopping working out, only walking a few feet at a time, and going on a diet of meat in gravy, soggy vegetables and stodgy mash! Grin

Hi everyone, glad you are ok Eleanor, take it easy. So, back from hols, bit blue, had a great time, first couple of days I stuck with v healthy eating and small portions but quickly succumbed to salad potatoes, fries, wine every night and a lot of sourdough and butter! Feel bit ropey and have put back on 3 1/2 lbs Blush. Starting again tomorrow, bit hungover today. I am also going to join a blood sugar diet thread to try, I have the book and love the food on it.

We were on holiday last week and I thought doing ok- a bit more walking than usual, not too much snacking or wine, but seem to have put on maybe a pound :/

I'd like to lose half a stone, so I will join you all.

I need to cut out all sugar for a while. For me, sugar is an addiction and I'm either on the wagon or off it.

I lift weights a lot. I was running a lot for a few months but it just made me eat a ton.

Hi, can I join you all. I'm 5ft5 (just if I stand up straight and 8st12/13, down from at least 9st7 since the second week in June. Have been mainly low carbing (but not too strictly) with some lapses. Finding it is helping a lot with my sugar cravings. My aim is to get down to 8st7, would love to be 8st but not sure it is realistic anymore for my age I'm 43. I'm a small boned pear with big hips, unfortunately my boobs have gone already with the weight I have lost but I have had to decide to sacrifice my boobs to get thinner. Only time I was thin with big boobs was post baby. Off for a couple of days away a week today, but my friend is getting married on 2nd August and the dress I have bought (size 10) is slightly snug round the hips still. Aiming to go for one day at a time and to get a couple more pounds off this week before we go away. I'm going to the gym when I can but tbh its only been about once a week, lots on with older boy finishing primary school and now school holidays and work. Good luck to everyone else.

Had no booze or cake. Started period today so not feeling confident on the will power stakes tbh.

I have gone from 13 to 10 st
Main challenge is maintaining it
And having a life !

The diet is Ok as have got used to healthy eating . Now if I go off rail I feel awful and it’s not worth it . Like when I had a fondue Envy

But the challenge is socialising and holidays and having fun . I want to have wine when I see people but as I rarely drink I get shit faced

I have got a bit neurotic about it which is not ideal

How much Wine you all having ?

My birthday weekend involved me being 9.1 on Thursday.. my target is 8.13 .... fast forward to today ... cake, champagne, chocolates, big meal , afternoon tea !! The bloody scales said 9.8 this morning... it can't be possible to gain 7 pounds in 4 days can it ??? WTF !!!!!! ... any explanation welcome !

Early weigh-in for me this week - for the first time in over 10 years I am 8 stone 4, ad my waist is 24 inches whis is possibly the first time ever!

It won't be for long though, we're having pizza tonight and I will probably be eating a whole one to myself, stuffed crust and all - I've been saving calories the last couple of days so I don't do TOO much damage! Grin
I actually think this weight is just right for me - I've started to lose a bit of boob so certainly don't want to go much lower. So I think I'll try to maintain round about here when I've rectified any damage I do later.

And Alicatz yours is probably just water weight, and has hopefully disappeared by now! I'll probably be half a stone heavier tomorrow but it should have shifted in a week if I go back to eating normally.

Back from all inclusive pig out. I tried to eat healthy but did have way More pudding thisn I would. Was pleased to see I had only gained half a kilo. So 58 kg this morning and am hoping normal life and good eating will get me back on track. Goal
Is to go back to my happy weight of 54 kgs which I haven’t seen in a while

I'm in! I'm 5ft 2 and I've just weighed myself nekkid and I'm 8 stone 8.8. I go between that and 8 stone 10.2 but I would really like to be 8 stone 7. For no other reason other than I would like to be 8 stone 7. I would like to lose that bit of fat off my belly rather than my boobs. Thank you please 😁

Hi everyone, lost 1 1/2 lbs this week, getting back into things, have not been strict but I am feeling determined. Did someone say 24 inch waist (faints). Did not know this was possible, I would love a 28 inch waist. Well done Eleanor. I am off to measure the area where my waist should be.

Have had an ok week despite period.
Usually I'm knee deep in cake. Saturday is relax day though so I am indulging a craving for Apple pie later after a steak and salad.
Still no booze though.
I think I'll do some measurements later, I don't want to go by scales alone.

Just got off the phone to lovely old friend, we worked together when we were 21. Told her my waist measurement and she reminded me back then my hips were 31 inches! She always remembered as we are such different shapes, she is a pear and always envied my narrow hips. Always been much prettier than me so it's silly really. Anyway I am sitting here trying to get my head around my waist is now bigger than my hips used to be. That is so weird.

Back up to 8.9 today. It's so frustrating bobbing around this weight. I was hoping to be 8.7 today and it feels like I'm back to the start. I've not been an angel this weekend - but I've not been that bad, and I've been good with food/calories all week. It's just annoying when even when you are really good the scales don't reflect it.

We go on holiday in 3 weeks so I really want to drop 4 lbs by then...that would still be 2 away from my goal...

Hi all

I stalled for a few weeks due to lack of effort. Back on it though now that school has finished (which, for me, means work is finished too). Just under 3 weeks til emigration and so over the last ten days I have been pretty active sorting out the house and been for one 5k run.

I've crept down from 53.8 a few weeks back to 53.5, which is my lowest weight since August 2015.

Hi, I am very late to this, but can I join you? I am 5'5'' and currently weigh 9stone 8lbs. Would like to get down to 9stone - just because I feel more energetic at that weight and look less bulgy!

My strategy is to cut out cake/biscuits/sweets, to eat mindfully and exercise a little more.

Ooh it's a quiet thread this one, where are you all?
Small loss this week, but at least I'm going on the right direction. Did have a takeaway this week and last night a massive bowl of spaghetti vongole that Pavarotti would have thought twice about.
