Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me - not overweight but would like to lose a few pounds?
I am 5’ 3” and weigh 9stone. I look ok, but def have lots of wobbly bits despite running and a couple of hiit sessions a week.
Would love to get to 8st 7lb, but my love of wine and salty snacks does not help! Eat mostly healthily apart from this.
Have been using happyscale to weigh every day, managed to get to 8st 11.5lb earlier in the month but now back to where I started 🙄.
Any tips from anyone? First world problem I know!

It's a slow old process here, still only 2lb down and hosting a BBQ tonight. It'll be low carb-but wine may be drunk. Having said that I do feel slimmer and my jeans are loose, so grasping onto that!

I'm always impatient but if I keep on with a pound a week I'll feel fabulous by the time I go on holiday!

Weighed in this morning and I've stayed the same 🙁 That's with 2 fast days this week and 3 runs, and not overdoing it on the other days. I have had my period this week, could it be that?

I fell spectacularly into a sea of carbs and sugar yesterday as it was someone's birthday, felt awful after eating it all though, really lethargic. Just back from run , back on it ready for weigh in ,

Booo. I have remained the same as last week. At least I've not gained any, and last week WAS the week of nachos (oh and pizza and gin at the pub with friends yesterday). So what did I really expect. DH has gone off for a week today (with work) so fx I can stay on the wagon. I won't be drinking alcohol anyway so that's some calories saved.

Today’s weigh in is 8st 12.5 so a 0.75 loss from last week. Happy with that as it’s been a sociable and alcoholic couple of weeks.....that and the hot weather has meant not so much running too!
Got 4 and a half weeks until my holiday, would be great if I can lose another 3 or 4 pounds but will need to focus.
So many things on that involve food and drink though!

Scales have run out of batteries so will weigh in tomorrow. Well done on STS or creeping down, if you can be sociable and still lose a little, that's definitely a win!

Hoping for a pound off again...

Leaving for holiday on Wednesday, at which point calorie-counting will have to be abandoned as it's too impractical if you're eating on the hoof. I will no doubt creep up, pound by pound. On the other hand, we'll be doing a fair bit of city walking so maybe the daily activity will compensate. Was hoping to be 8st3 by this time, but I'm hovering between 8st7 and 8st9. Pity, that last four pounds is what makes all the difference...

Great thread! I guess I only have a few pounds left now. I am 5”8 and weigh 9.7. I’m aiming for 9.4 (at which I look and feel my best) so just three lb to go!! Last time this year I was about 10.3, the last few pounds seem the hardest though!!!

8 stone 7.6 for me today - my happy weight woohoo! Grin That's despite having a couple of unplanned G&Ts to calm my nerves when England were playing!

Just need to work on a couple more pounds as a bit of a buffer now. It's my birthday on Thursday so it may not go entirely to plan this week.. Gin

8st 12lb here too. Did get get to 8st 10lb last week but seem to have crept back up. I suspect dehydration created an anomalous low weight. 3 weeks to my holiday, not looking likely to get to 8.5st...

Just read my first post and realised I've been eaten everything I said I wouldn't! Wine, nits, peanut butter. Oops.

Also went out at weekend and had a gorgeous meal, wine etc so I haven't exactly been sticking to 1400 per day. Must do better! Been exercising loads though, swimming, cycling, nipping around with the kids et. Must have burned the wine off at least.

Right then, I am 5'7 and weigh 9st 8.
I don't know what my target weight is, but I'll know when I get there, by looking at my shape.
Small framed so extra pounds really show.
It's day 2 of no Danish pastry with a latte for brekkie, it's like crack cocaine for me, so porridge was a real bloody struggle let me tell you.
No booze either.Confused

Well, for the sake of full accountability I have had a shocking week food-wise. DH is away so I thought I'll keep my portions small and healthy, get early nights to avoid snacking etc.

Hmmm. Safe to say that plan seems to have gone out the window. I just like to have something to snack on when I'm watching tv...

The only thing I've stuck to is not drinking - but I don't tend to do that mid week anyway. Still, I am only half way through the week, I can pull this back can't I???!!! Agh. He's away til Sunday so I'm probably going to avoid the alcohol until then at least as I'll have no one to socialise with!

Yes you can pull it back. I think the temptation is to think oh bugger it, I've had a bad start so did it until next week.
I woke up this morning feeling like I'd drunk a case of wine (No booze at all) was starving so had a poached egg on wholemeal toast.
I'm figuring that's quite good, I never eat breakfast until about 11 and then it 's a Danish. So a craving for eggs at 8 must be a good thing?

Thanks for the positivity Grin yes it's so tempting to sack the whole week off but now I've said it "out loud" hopefully I won't sabotage it all now.

Ihope the hangover-without-the-booze is the pits! Had you had a sugary day yesterday, I sometimes feel rubbish after lots of sugar?

Just realised I name changed after joining the thread!

8st11lb today. Saw the my PE teacher friend at the weekend, got reminded just how gorgeous her figure is. Motivating me to get running again after a break in the hot weather. And to stick to my fruit based lunch and one proper meal in the evening.

Early weigh in today as not around at the weekend.....8st 11.75 so is going down!
To be honest, I haven’t been good - lots of alcohol and snacking but I think that I’m not really overeating, just not being that healthy. Running around a lot too and with the heat plus not eating proper meals has somehow worked in my favour.
Now I need to focus more because this is always my downfall - I get cocky and think I can get away with eating junk and drinking wine and suddenly I’m 4 pounds up!

Not good here
Had lost 4 pounds, only 2 to go to get to target of 8.13
Birthday weekend started yesterday at work ! Cake, snacks, after work wine ... drunken Happy Meal on way home !!
Back to 9.4 today !

Can I be a late joiner? I'm 5' 3" and about 8st 6 (although that was measured after a huge meal so maybe closer to 8st 4 or 5) - might not sound high but I have a ridiculously tiny frame so could definitely stand to lose a few pounds, plus my weight has been trending upwards for several months so I want to stop it before I grow out of all my jeans Blush I'm aiming to get down to about 8st or even a few pounds lower, as that was my normal weight before I started a job that has me boredom-snacking constantly. Plus it would be good to get back on the healthy eating wagon generally - I'm normally pretty good but work stuff has made.me tired and lazy about cooking over the last few weeks. My food today consisted of two croissants, poutine, churros and ice cream - not one piece of fruit or veg in sight!

Gah, second week of not losing, stuck at 8st12lb. I need to measure myself because I know the fat is reducing - my boobs are disappearing and my clothes are certainly less snug! But the number on the scales is annoying me 😠
