Fuck I'm so fed up with being fat. I look and feel disgusting. Does anybody else feel this way? It's time for me to take control.

Today I am starting my 'new me' regime. I've literally had enough of looking like this. Nothing fits me. I look a mess, a fat mess. Grin

Purple I have just realised that you were the lady with the thread about the doctor who made you feel awful. Well you've made the right decision to try and sort your weight out so well done. I thought that a lot of the comments you received were a bit harsh. You can do this, we all can. Good luck.

Purple forgot to say I hope that you enjoyed your farewell chocolate session last night!

What days do you all weigh in?

Mine is tomorrow and I'm so close to the next stone bracket, I have been for about 6 weeks but keep losing and gaining the same few lb - not anymore though I'm going to use tomorrows number as a restart and as previously said take it one day at a time. (I'm having my wisdom tooth out tomorrow so should be easy to stick to dieting!) Grin

sadieissadie · 19/06/2018 13:27

Silver Sunday is going to be my weigh day as that's the day I started this thread. Would be nice if we could all have the same weigh day so that we can all post our loss. Whatever works for everyone really.

OP posts:
SilverLiningSomewhere · 19/06/2018 13:47

That makes sense I'll weigh in the morning but Sunday will be official from then on.

I'm feeling really motivated after finding this thread, thank you! Grin

Frouby · 19/06/2018 13:55

Have braved the scales. 12st 11lbs .6. Assume the 6 is ounces. At 5ft 5in it makes me obese.

Not as bad as I thought. Was definetly 13st a couple of weeks ago. Haven't changed what I have been eating but have been more active. And cut down a bit on cans of lager.

Am going to do my weigh in mondays if that's ok. Means I won't have sunday roast AND pudding AND toast as a scooby snack later.

Oh I stopped buying crisps a couple of weeka ago too. Well the crisps I like anyway. Quavers just don't go as well with a ham sarnie as cheese and onion.

sadieissadie · 19/06/2018 13:55

Silver. I hope all goes well at the dentist tomorrow. You probably won't be eating much. Every cloud!

OP posts:
sadieissadie · 19/06/2018 13:58

Frouby well done for being brave and stepping on the scales. At least you know the damage now and you have a plan so that's a result in my book.

OP posts:
tremendous · 19/06/2018 14:18

Christ I'm too scared to stand on the scales. I'm properly fat. Bursting at the seams fat. I feel rank.

sadieissadie · 19/06/2018 14:22

Tremendous be brave and get on the scales. You can do it. At least you will know what you are up against.

I need to lose eight stone in 6 weeks....before I go on holiday to France and have to wear a swimming costume in front of loads of beautiful french women...I'm being positive and thinking it can be done Wink Wink.

Seriously though - I know how you feel. I have loads of clothes that don't fit, feel uncomfortable in the ones that I do....

Yesterday though I started something new...more water, no snacks, only consume food I have bought to work with me (yesterday Overnight oats and minestrone soup, with a banana in the afternoon). Dinner was low cal and nutritious. I've prepared a meal plan for the next two weeks and have just done the online shopping and by doing the plan, have saved myself about £40 (plus I didn't order any alcohol!!!)

FurForksSake · 19/06/2018 17:04

I've been reading how to eat like a normal person and that has really helped me to get my head in the game. I have got 9lbs off in two weeks, I need another 7 to get back to healthy and then I want a stone and half down from there. I am really short so it's pretty tricky as I just can't eat much!

SilverLiningSomewhere · 19/06/2018 18:12

Fur, what's a normal person eat like?! (Not a dig I've binged so so long I've no idea!)

FurForksSake · 19/06/2018 18:15

www.eatlikeanormalperson.com/ - three meals a day, real foods, when you are hungry and foods that nourish. I have stopped eating crap almost entirely. I don't want it any more as I know it makes my body feel like crap. Birthday parties, special occasions, sociably there are spaces for it, but I pre-eat or post-eat something nutritious and healthy. One cookie, not a packet.

ThrownMuse · 19/06/2018 19:37

Everning everyone, it's nice to see some new faces.

Well done lorra on the food shop and no booze. I currently drink two bottles of wine a week - that's 20 units, 6 more than is recommended! I need to address this, it's the cause of my weight gain.

Sadie, I'll make Sunday my weigh in, too, to get in synch with you. Should stop me drinking on a Saturday night, hopefully.

Today has been a success, so i feel ok. Tomorrow will be a tough one, but will pack as many healthy snacks as possible and not fall on top of the buffet.

I'm going to a conference in a few weeks' time, and I'm dreading it - I am sharing a room and I am terrified about my snoring keeping the other person up...

mathanxiety · 19/06/2018 20:05

Plonking myself down - I am recovering from an Achilles problem that kept me from walking and I am aghast at what the scales and my jeans have been telling me of late. I feel nervous about going all out with the walking. I don't want a setback, so tackling the snacking habit is necessary.

FurForksSake · 19/06/2018 21:32

I've just been to aqua, I had hip surgery at the end of March so I am rehabing and it is brill. I spin twice a week, do a gym circuit twice a week and aqua once. I can't walk far but these are really helping me stay active.

HoardingQueen · 19/06/2018 21:52

been doing so well, healthy eating for a week, got stressed today and eaten my own body weight in carbs and chocolate (damn you Home Bargains for all your cheap and lovely chocolate!) feeling down now, please all send me good vibes so i get back on track tomorrow :(

sadieissadie · 19/06/2018 22:03

Hoarding I was exactly the same last night. I just couldn't stop eating. I felt really miserable with myself this morning but I got my act together this afternoon and did loads of gardening and have eaten really sensibly.

12st 2 7/8 this morning🙈 I was 10st 13lbs and disgusted with myself six weeks after my third c-section- what I wouldn't give to be that weight again😏 I'm thinking of going back to slimming world next week. I did it before and lost 10lbs but I really dislike the concept and the fake, sweetened foods they promote- but if it kick started a weight-loss again maybe it might be worth it?

ThrownMuse · 19/06/2018 22:29

Well done, fur, that's brilliant, you should be v proud of yourself.

sadie and hoardiing - I am guilty of doing this too. A lot. It's like a red mist sometimes and uncontrollable.

New day tomorrow.

FurForksSake · 19/06/2018 22:42

I'm doing Slimming World at home without going or joining. I don't eat any of the rubbish of make the fake foods. I have fat free greek yog and a banana and berries for breakfast, salad and cold meat or crustless quiche (I love it, bacon and onion) and then dinner usually from PON, tonight was dirty rice, rice with celery/peppers/onions/spring onions /bacon / pork mine in it - filling and delicious. You can do it and eat cleanish :) the principle is ound.

Bigpizzalover · 19/06/2018 22:52

Count me in ladies! I was 9st 8lbs so perfect for my 5ft 4” height!

Now I’m 12st 10lb so have a lot to lose, and my excuse of ‘I’ve just had a baby’ doesn’t work now she’s 15 months old!!

Working part time until July when I return to my full time hours so I’m hoping been at work and not having access to the fridge most days of the week will help!

Any ideas on healthy lunches and snacks I can start having now and that I can take to work with me?

StormcloakNord · 19/06/2018 23:12

@HoardingQueen

You got this. You really, honestly do. You're going to wake up tomorrow (or today if you read this in the morning) and you're going to smash it. You're going to eat well today, and be in the right frame of mind and you'll come back here telling us youve nailed it & had a brilliant day.

user1469751309 · 19/06/2018 23:23
