8 weeks to lose a stone

summerslimmer · 19/05/2018 18:52

Who’s up for losing a stone in the next 8 weeks?
I’ve had a terrible year so far- chronic health problems, 2 miscarriages, depression...
In short I’ve gained a lot of weight and really want to lose at least a stone of it before a holiday in July.
Thinking I’m going to try low carb when possible as that seems to suit my body.
No friends to do this with in real life so does anyone want to join me?

Happy to report that today I have stuck to my 3 VLCD products Smile.... lots of water and a few cups of tea... hoping to repeat tomorrow. Sounds like everyone is doing really well... we can do this!!!

DaffoDeffo · 22/05/2018 20:03

I didn't resist the ice cream but at least it was only a few spoons of the Chunky Monkey vegan non dairy ice cream Blush

I am still around 1200 calories today - I find it really hard to do less than that!

DaffoDeffo · 22/05/2018 20:05

poor you gym

I also sprinkle that stuff on my porridge in the morning (Oatwell). It does appear to be working. Fingers crossed yours comes down!

summerslimmer · 22/05/2018 20:31

Some great stuff going on today - well done to us all!
I managed 10,000 steps and felt pleased with myself but I'll try and do better!
Perfect day to walk on the beach - which is not possible without an ice cream - or in my case donuts - just as well I'm not near a beach!

G'day y'all. Some good going.

Had a bit bleugh - humidity got to me, either that or pain killers fighting back (cracked rib), both of which kicks off the IBS. I had chocolate. Far too much. Still under (according to MFP), but am peeved with self.

BiscuitMachine · 22/05/2018 21:25

Don’t beat yourself up, MrsM, if you are still under according to MFP, that’s good! I’ve had a good day, at my calorie target, but unfortunately I’m now ravenous!! What to do? I’m going to have a big glass of water and see what happens...

ThrownMuse · 22/05/2018 21:27

Nice view there, Obi! I also live besides the sea side (beside the sea!) and it makes for a lovely walk. Well done on your 5 miles!

Well done everyone else, no matter how your day was. Mine was ok food wise, but only 5,000 steps due to huge work deadline and stuck indoors - trying to get as much done this week before half-term next week.

Will run in the morning though.

MrsMozart · 22/05/2018 21:52

Thank you Biscuit. I hope the water worked!

Thiswontendwell · 22/05/2018 22:43

People are doing so well!
Esp with the exercise....I'm still failing at that sadly but I think I managed to eat quite well today
And anyone who manages to keep under 1200 calories on MFP - respect!!!!!
The blinkin thing is always bad news for me. But I have cut out so much - carbs, as much sugar as I can (no processed anyway) and the booze- it MUST be having an effect.
Fingers crossed (I am being sooo good and not weighing myself yet)

Please count me in too... thought I had already posted but clearly hadn't! Joined SW a week and a half ago really want to lose a stone for summer holidays. Love the walking video and will try out tomorrow - I am so unfit so this looks like a perfect way to start.

milleniumhandandprawn · 23/05/2018 07:18

Morning all!
Have been wavering today - always happens around day 3 of a diet for me and I start wondering if it’s all worth it...
So am spending my train journey pinteresting clothes and outfits that will look much better on my new target bod :)

Am out for dinner tonight but am going to be good.

Have a great day everyone!

tava63 · 23/05/2018 07:36

One stone off will be at least one dress size down milleniumhandandprawn - how fab will that be.

BiscuitMachine · 23/05/2018 07:56

Morning all! Just having breakfast, I was so hungry when I woke up that I’m having more then I should. However, it’s my day off today so I will be doing some sort of exercise to make up for it, as well as lots of housework (boring but not sitting at a desk all day). Have good days all x

bbcessex · 23/05/2018 07:58

Silvertap · 23/05/2018 08:42

Morning all. It's a wild and windy one down on the coast - my run/walk was tough but worth it. I have one of those C25K apps where a celebrity talks you through it? Mine is Michael Johnson and he's hilarious.

That video is brilliant, summer, so cheesy but fun!

Egg on toast for BF, lunch will be a ham sarnie, then a small bowl of pasta (no cheese, sigh) for tea tonight.

DS has his sports day this avo, so hopefully I''ll get a few steps in walking there and back and in the park afterwards.

Catch you laters, gators!

milleniumhandandprawn · 23/05/2018 13:38

Thanks tava that’s exactly what I need to focus on!

Am also only eating now if I’m hungry - so didn’t have breakfast today until 11:30. Am theorising that this will mean less is eaten overall :)

Really windy here too thrown (am at work in London). Have found a sheltered spot to sit in the sun for lunch though!

Thiswontendwell · 23/05/2018 15:00

If I could go down a dress size or two tava (or a size and a half!) that would be amazing!
millenium - there is this idea of only eating within a short space i.e. Within an 8 eight hour period (anyone else know this?) that the BloodSugar/ 5:2 bloke talks about so you could be in the right track!

Still eating the sales here....
And drinking gallons of water...

Thiswontendwell · 23/05/2018 15:01

Sales!?!?!
Salad....salad and more salad....

DaffoDeffo · 23/05/2018 15:59

not doing brilliantly today as I've been working

had an egg sandwich (on wholemeal bread) at around 12
2 decaf skinny white americanos
and a whole heap of nuts mix (I love nuts - I know they are good protein but my goodness are they calorific!)

I will put it in on mfp in a minute but I suspect I haven't got many calories left Blush - also people LOVE feeding me, I am a very grateful eater fgs so someone gave me 3 percy pigs which I now see were 90 calories

won't have time to go to gym today but I'm already on 11,900 steps so I'm doing ok on that. Will try do 30 mins of yoga before bed

Gymntonic · 23/05/2018 17:19

Sorry you are feeling rubbish, summer, but we're all in this together, and a gentle approach will see us get there!

Be kind to yourself - sounds like you are doing perfectly well, all things considered.

For you Flowers.
