Hello,
I was wondering how much weight u fellow vlcd people have lost in the space of 10 weeks. I am planning to attend a friends wedding in 10 weeks and am attempting to loose weight. I am abit 5 stone overweight so i am desperate to loose some weight using exante till the wedding.
Looking forward to hearing your success stories.

I've now placed my first Exante order, just trying a few things, the sweet and sour noodles, some shakes.

jinglebitch · 11/06/2018 18:24

I'm pretty much living off the sweet and sour noodles-can reccomend adding some lots of soya sauce for a bit more flavour (it's allowed!)
Had first day at work today (day 7) and was mostly fine, although I kept forgetting to drink my water. Yesterday I went for a 2 1/2 hour walk in the morning, and about 4pm I literally felt every bit of energy leave my body and I had to lie down and go to sleep. I couldn't lift my legs! I worked out I'd burned about 350-400 calories walking so I decided I could afford to eat something extra, but I really couldnt face a shake or soup, and ended up having a boiled egg with some lettuce and was fine afterwards, but I really really enjoyed the lettuce. (This diet does weird things to you! )
Has anyone got to the point where they can do more exercise without nearly collapsing? I really want to get back to running, but don't want to try it too soon and keel over while I'm out!

Ronnyhotdog · 11/06/2018 18:38

That’s how I’ve felt today jingle, I’m on day 7 too. At about 3 I’d used every spare bit of energy I had. I was getting questioned by a concerned colleague. I’ve told myself a couple of times I can’t do this but I can, I’ve done a week.

On a less grumpy note I’m 6lb down 😁

Got home to a new batch of Exante, I’ve just tried the toffee, nut & raisin bar which gets the thumbs up. I’ve also got some sweet & sour noodles to try.

Ready to tackle week 2.

ChampagneCommunist · 11/06/2018 19:13

Day 11 & I have lost 3 kilos (about 6lb). I thought I would have lost more by now; I'm just eating 3 XLS shakes a day and a couple of cups of tea

Itsmeaga1n · 11/06/2018 19:29

I've improvised today as I haven't much in so I had the Slimfast vitality shake for breakfast, a vegetable cup a soup for lunch and birds eye fish cooked in a bag auth broccoli peas cucumber celery and tomato for dinner. According to mfp it comes to just under 600 kcal.

Itsmeaga1n · 11/06/2018 19:30

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 11/06/2018 20:04

I'm on day 6 and felt rubbish again today, tired and just feel weak. I do wonder if some of it is that I'm not drinking as much coffee as usual, with all the water I'm drinking I just haven't wanted as many coffees.
On the plus side I made a lovely 200cal dinner, tuna steak with a basic ratatouille.

jinglebitch · 12/06/2018 09:49

Minnies I think my first week was so bad as I drink a lot of tea,so was going through caffeine withdrawal at the same time. 1 week in and 7lb loss-obviously really pleased, but thought I was fat enough to expect a bit more than that! Have lost an inch off my waist though, which really surprised me. Hope everyone else having a good day 😊

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 12/06/2018 13:42

Thanks jinglebitch, I do think it may be contributing to how rubbish I feel, I've not cut it out altogether, but naturally reduced. Are you deliberatly removing caffeine?

It's weigh day tomorrow, I am excited to see that the scales say but also apprehensive.

Itsmeaga1n · 12/06/2018 14:17

Does anyone else feel bloated and gassy on this diet?

AmyL88 · 12/06/2018 16:05

Can i Join in? Started Cambridge today, have about 3 stone to lost but i also have PCOS. How is everyone getting on? 2 stone in 2 months sounds amazing!!!

Wetdogloveshubert · 12/06/2018 18:50

I'm only on day two and had a stonking headache this afternoon - but like minnies I think it's down to caffeine withdrawal - I obviously drink too much tea! I am noticing my gas more than normal - but not stuffing my face all day may be the cause. Keep at it! Hey @AmyL88

Ronnyhotdog · 13/06/2018 07:52

Hi amy how’re you finding it?

wetdog the headache is awful but it’ll pass soon.

I need to stop weighing daily, I know weight loss will slow down after week 1 but the scales aren’t budging. They’ve been the same since Friday. Am I doing something wrong? Nothing other than exante products, water, coffee and 1 Dr Pepper zero has passed my lips in a week.
Dh has lost the same as me and he’s eating an evening meal, he’s not even altering the meal he has, last night he had tacos, he’s had pizza. It’s not fair.

Sorry to be a moaning misery, please tell me good things that are happening to you since starting this.

I’m not going to quit but I just don’t want to feel like this for the next 6 weeks.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 13/06/2018 09:03

It's been a week now.

Lost 7lbs, which is good but and I feel awful having a but, but because I'm so overweight I thought it'd be more and like ronny I've been weighing to often and the weight I am today I was Sunday, so feel like I haven't made much progress since then.

Being positive it's probably just my body stabilizing or something.

Anyway positive thoughts and onwards yo the next week.

Ronnyhotdog · 13/06/2018 10:07

minnie I’m going to get my dh to put the scales somewhere out of my reach so I can’t step on them no matter how much I want to. Xx

AmyL88 · 13/06/2018 10:37

So far finding it fine, day 2 today and woke up feeling a little light headed and a slight headache but nothing too bad. Its the evenings when i will struggle when i am making dinner for my son. OH is sorting himself out so that's one less thing i need to worry about.

@Ronnyhotdog @MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting If i were you i would ditch the scales. I am only going to be weighed every 2 weeks so i dont focus on the numbers as i have been so obsessive in the past when the scales weren't showing what i wanted! 7lb in a week is an amazing loss! I keep thinking to myself i have neglected my body for so many years with eating crap i cant expect it to all fall off in a couple of weeks .

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 13/06/2018 10:47

My dh has "told me off" for want of a better expression for weighing to frequently.

I have more energy today and feel good.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 13/06/2018 14:55

Just had the lemon pancakes for lunch, they were lovely 🍋🥞

TyrionLannistersShadow · 13/06/2018 16:08

For the first time since I started almost 7 weeks ago I had a product that was disgusting. It was the white choc cookie and it was rank. I'm glad I only ordered 2 of them!

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 13/06/2018 17:03

TyrionLannistersShadow you've been doing this for 7 weeks, wow, can I ask which plan you're following and how much you've lost?

amusedbush · 13/06/2018 17:14

I lost 40lbs in ten weeks on Cambridge in 2016, then went on to lose another 20lbs on Slimming World but I've put every single pound of it back on due to bingeing and stress eating Sad

I finish work on Friday for a week's annual leave so I'm planning to get back on the Exante train from Saturday to push through into ketosis while I can lay in bed and cry watch Netflix Grin

I've tried Exante stuff before and the taste is terrible compared to Cambridge and Slim and Save but I'm saving for a holiday and cost is a massive factor! I figure I can just view it as medicine I need to take 3 times a day to get slimmer. I've gone from 12 stone to 16+ stone since November last year and I'm utterly, utterly miserable. I cry at least once a week due to how awful I look and feel after working so hard to lose the weight in 2016/2017 Sad I've undone it all and I feel so unattractive I don't want to leave my house or see anyone I know. Even walking around/trying to paint my toenails/tie my shoelaces/climbing stairs I can feel how heavy and unfit I am again. I HAVE to change something.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 13/06/2018 20:37

amusedbush you sound really down. I've lost the weight before and put it back on so I understand your frustration.

Hope you get on ok with the exante products. Good luck.

Itsmeaga1n · 13/06/2018 20:51

I'm now eating the exante products and have enjoyed all of them so far. Yes there's a bit of an after taste and I've been really hungry in the evenings but I've stuck to it for 3 days now and feel better for it. I'm not weighing myself because i know I'll self sabotage then.

The shakes are lush mixed with lots of ice and with added instant coffee.

ohsoslim · 13/06/2018 21:56

Programme on itv tonight - on diabetes- a group trying to loose weight put on exante shakes!
Some amazing results in terms of glucose levels - in 4 weeks- real great motivation!!

ThatsWotSheSaid · 13/06/2018 22:43

I’ve had the exante chilli tonight and the Dahl last night and I’m actually quite pleased with them. They make a good change from the shakes. I want to order the noodles too now.
