So I seem to be great at my steps(17k today!) but SHIT at not eating crap...

Mumathon · 10/05/2018 06:10

I’m the opposite this week. Been pretty sedentary (meetings etc) but have kept really well to just a shake and a bar during the day, followed by a healthy dinner, no snacks! The weight is shifting slower this week, but keeping with it!

MadamGrumps · 11/05/2018 07:40

Well Aunt Flo has visited so least I know why I've been struggling and craving crap all week.

RoseyOldCrow · 11/05/2018 11:30

Me too, Mumathon.
(Half a bottle of white, hummus & doritos at 10pm last night!)

So pleased to see some great behaviours on here, we really are looking after ourselves so well Halo

Well, that’s me done for slim fast. Always said I’d just do three weeks on the plan, which I’ve now done!
Amazed myself that I stuck to it, and managed to lose about 9lb so hopefully that’ll do the job to kick start some more weight loss.
My plan now is to keep with calorie controlled breakfast and lunch (no more than 250 cals each), usual dinner, and no snacks! May dip my toe back into SlimFast for a boost now and then.
Good luck with all your goals!

Hi everyone.
I'm a mums net newbie but could do with some advice. Currently fed up with my weight. Started slim fast today (powder + milk) not the ready made ones. Thinking 1 for breakfast (just had at about 9.30) and eat a good lunch then a shake for tea. However snacking is my downfall. I can eat my own body weight in snacks from 6pm till bedtime. Anyone have any tips in how to get rid of these urges in the evening? I'm not actually hungry I just watch my soaps and eat cr*p. Really. Any help would be brill. Thanks xx

VERY well done @Mumathon that is something to be proud of - well that and your heroic step counts! I wish you well with your new summer bod, long may you remain gorgeous Grin

RoseyOldCrow · 14/05/2018 20:02

And hello, @Pembo123 welcome to Club Milkshake!
If there's a lesson to share, it is this: make a plan & stick to it.
Very simple, it seems to work if you stick with it.
But you have to pull up those infamous MN Big Girl Pants & just get on with it! Self sabotage (by whatever means) will screw up your progress.
Put yourself in the position of posting next week with an update - how bloody marvellous will you feel when you can tell us what you've lost?!
Good luck with your 1st week, you really can do this Flowers

A little update from me. 3 weeks in now and 8 pounds gone. I am very happy with that, particularly since we had a sneaky takeaway last weekend. I have a loooong way to go though. Going to try not to cheat this weekend and hopefuly even better results by next week!

Allthatglittersisgold · 17/05/2018 14:12

Is it weird that I love the shakes? Feels like a treat to me.
