Restless legs after eating 3 bars

Anyone doing this through isolation?

Kittensgalore · 20/04/2020 12:45

Hi determined, I started again last week, although didn't stick to it over the weekend but back on again today. Was thinking of starting a VLCD lockdown support thread as wasn't sure this one was being used. So great to see your post. How are you finding it? Do you have much to lose? I am heavier than I've ever been, around 2 stone heavier than during pregnancy. Have around 4-5 stone to lose to get back to pre kids weight but even just 3 stone would make a massive difference. Can't believe how heavy I've let myself get.

Hi @kittensgalore I started the day after bank holiday and I just managed to get through the weekend.
I've got about 2 stone I'd like to lose.
I did this November 2018-April 2019 and then stayed on keto food, I got down to my target weight but then went on a few holidays and including Christmas it all came back on 😞
I'm trying to swap food around with shake that weight because their healthy snacks and dinners are more filling so I order the breakfasts, shakes and bars from exante and the dinner, lunch and snacks from shake that weight and it seems easier to stick to.
I lost about 4lb last week so I'm really trying to stick to it.
But it's really hard in isolation as I'm working much closer to the fridge! 🥺
I put a few nice photos of me on the fridge And that seems to help a bit.
We can do this! It's just nice knowing you're not struggling alone 🙂

Kittensgalore · 21/04/2020 14:53

Hi determined! Yes we can do it! I'd not heard of shake the weight so will look that up too as would be good to have a bit of variety. I am struggling with the fridge being so constantly close at hand as well. Definitely harder to stay away from it just now. But have done really well this morning, kids have been baking and I haven't had a single spoonful of the cake mixture- v pleased with myself.

Kittensgalore · 21/04/2020 14:55

Posted too soon! Great that you have only got two stones to go ( Although appreciate that it won't feel great!) but it does work if we can stick to it so definitely achievable. I've set myself half stone targets with non food attached. Hoping that helps!

Determined77 · 21/04/2020 20:28

Oh well done! I can't go in the kitchen when my daughter bakes or I would eat it all! Lol
I'm doing ok at the moment trying to stick to 800cal but get so hungry in the evenings and end up having half an exante bar with my cup of tea.
It's getting to the point I may have to spend the evenings in my room away from the fridge!
I remember last time I went in to keto after a few days and never felt hungry, but I'm really struggling this time.. but I think you're right and it's hard ignoring the fridge when It's calling you from the next room! 😂
That's really good with the targets, I did say to my daughter that I would put some money in a kitty for the amount of pounds that I lose so we can go somewhere when we're eventually allowed out 🤞🏼
Good luck for tomorrow.
Are you drinking alcohol with it? I've not had any for nearly two weeks and I was going to give it another two weeks then have the odd glass of wine.. if I remember gin and soda was carb free

Kittensgalore · 24/04/2020 06:42

That's my downfall - alcohol. I've been doing well food wise, been more or less sticking to plan, 3 packs and then around 200 calories of low carb real food. But finding it really hard not to have a gin or wine. I need to stop it altogether though or there is no point doing it at all. And now my scales have broken, so can't weigh myself. Thought it was the battery so changed that yesterday but now they are completely dead.
Well done for sticking to the 4 packs, how long have you been doing it for? I definitely find that once ketosis hits it does become so much easier but I'm not currently in it because I cave and have a glass of wine! It's hard though, I do think lockdown is a great time to do the VLCD but equally there is a lot of other stuff like home schooling my educational resistant kids and working full time from home that make me want to reach for the gin and tonic a little more than usual Grin

Kittensgalore · 24/04/2020 06:46

Are you drinking just plain water? I have been adding the lime water enhancer which I love and it makes it just about possible to drink 3 litres if I have that added but am running low and trying not to be another order just yet.
