Minnies. 70lbs is incredible. You have done sooooo well. You must be over the moon. Plum the cake was delicious (lemon and courgette). I had a very small slice and am back on track today. Hope everyone is doing ok today too

SmallDalek · 21/11/2018 14:54

Sorry Thisgirlcan. It was you saying hope I enjoyed cake

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 21/11/2018 21:02

Thanks.
SmallDalek Lemon and courgette cake sounds lovely

bubblyone · 22/11/2018 18:08

Hello!
Hope there's room for another. Started yesterday after a trip home where I ate everything....which was after over a year of terrible terrible eating. I was quite lean in May 2017 after quite gradual loss but snapped and regained every pound and then some. That had been a loss over months, so actually kind of hoping that a fast method might actually be better? More of a get in and get out than having months on end of restriction to get food obsessed.
May have to take a day off mid December if a friend comes to visit and plan on stopping from Dec 23rd to 27th, but am interested to see how it goes. Trying to tell myself that it's an experiment for a month!

No idea what weight I am at the moment, except a general impression of what I usually am when I feel this fat. Was horrified when fatter me clothes I bought before the summer didn't fit me last week, which sealed the deal for this. Will go by clothes until I feel the number on the scales would be acceptable.

Very inspired by the posts!

SmallDalek · 22/11/2018 18:49

bubblyone I haven’t weighed myself either but like you sort of know roughly by previous experience. My clothes feel too tight and some I can’t do up at all. I’m keeping on till my clothes feel and look better too. It’s good to have this thread . I’m only day 5 and today have felt awful. Bit sickly, dizzy and weak. I had 2 eggs at lunchtime which made me feel better. I’ve been doing the total solution but it’s probably too much as don’t think my BMI will be over 30. I’m sure we can get through this bubblyone. Not going to be as easy as I first thought though I don’t think

bubblyone · 22/11/2018 19:32

Thanks SmallDalek! I think we're in a similar situation. Well, I have clothes that are WAY too small and may never fit again, but also seriously peeved that even the more generous ones now won't go near me. I suppose it's mostly about how we feel in clothes etc than a number on the scale really anyway. And I don't want to have to throw all the nice things out yet.

I wouldn't think my BMI is 30 yet, but I'm only 4'10" so everything shows, I can't carry it and the BMI numbers do jump up very quickly. Only day two and have been supplementing with chicken and Babybels Confused. I'm hoping that I won't be as hungry when ketosis kicks in and can go back to 3 meals. Trying to remind myself that this is a mental challenge! I was absolutely overeating and didn't need all the food I had. This is probably a good reset. And probably good to be hungry again for a change, in a way.

SmallDalek · 22/11/2018 20:24

I can relate to a lot you have written bubbylone. I can’t afford a new wardrobe and have things I’d like to wear again or look nice in. I’m only 5’ so any extra weight really shows quickly. I feel really uncomfortable. I eat fairly healthily but way too much of everything and constantly nibbling stuff I don’t need.. I’m hoping also to feel less hungry soon too. I’m going t have to add something to the exante rations I think if I keep feeling dizzy/nauseous. I’m sure you’re right and it’ll be a good re-set. And it is healthy to experience some hunger you’re right.

bubblyone · 22/11/2018 21:05

Yes, SmallDalek! Many similarities! Although I also ate too much junk. For no reason though...just nibble nibble nibble all day long. At the very least this is forcing me into having more structure around eating and delaying gratification.
Hungry now, but reminds me that I have rarely been in too long so it's no wonder I'm in this state. Had some packs almost a year and a half ago now, when I was not too far off where I wanted to be, and didn't even last a day. I wish I'd stuck with it then. Really can't let this get the better of me. Yet. We can do this! Imagine I'll be the same and supplement if I feel completely terrible. Better a little slower and not giving up than cracking and gobbling a packet of biscuits for energy.

bubblyone · 22/11/2018 21:12

Has anybody tried the festive range yet? I feel I'll need something in my arsenal when things start appearing in work...

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 22/11/2018 21:43

bubblyone no I havent, really fancy the orange and white chocolate bar and the gingerbread shake and candy cane shake but I dont need anything and cant justify buying atm. Are you going to ordering anything?

bubblyone · 23/11/2018 07:51

I think I'll probably cave and get some, Minnies! I have way too many sachets looking at me, but feel like I might at least be able to trick myself into feeling I'm being Christmassy when things get tough. I know it shouldn't all be about the food (and need to work on it) but pretending I'm indulging tends to help with any diet!

Day 3. HUNGRY this morning. Bad, but also kind of good - haven't been properly hungry in the morning for ages.

plumstone · 23/11/2018 08:16

Weigh in this morning and 2lbs off - totally fine with that and have a weight starting with an 11 so totally delighted - and refocussed - was having a wobble last night but as the weekend plans have been cancelled I have no excuse to eat pub food. Quite delighted actually and will be on track all weekend!!!

What this week has proved to me is that I can have a weekend eating sensible well planned food and then go straight back to the plan and still loose - makes a big change from previously when I would just think "start again next week" maybe this balance thing is working!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 23/11/2018 10:58

That's great plumstone

SmallDalek · 23/11/2018 12:56

Plumstone that’s so good 👍🏻. I’m not weighing myself but 5 days in and my jeans aren’t needing pulling back up over my muffin top all the time. I’m also feeling less crap today. Not nauseous and less dizzy. I’ve just bought some chicken, prawns and veggies and am going to try 2 bars and a meal in the evening because 3 bars per day is probably a bit too extreme for the amount I need to lose. bubbly I just think stopping the endless nibbling will help us. I’m retired and home a lot which is not good temptation wise. I’m no longer eating due to habit or being a bit bored now which is very helpful (but hard late afternoon). Have a good weekend everyone.

bubblyone · 23/11/2018 17:05

Congrats plumstone!

Good luck, small! I like your plan. Definitely struggling today. This afternoon has challenged me majorly. I live alone and most of my time in work is spent in my office alone so it's far too easy to just never stop nibbling.

Determined77 · 25/11/2018 15:20

Hi I think I lost my previous message (I’m new at this!)
I was hoping you wouldn’t mind if I joined in as I start Total solution tomorrow, it’s my final attempt at loosing at least a stone before I go away with my DD at Christmas.
I’ve been trying to loose since September and failing miserably 😞 I normally go it alone so I’m hoping with support I could make it to the other side and you all seem really supportive of each other 😊

SmallDalek · 25/11/2018 16:14

Determined I started a week ago and it’s nice to have a thread where others are all at various stages of doing the same thing. I’ve a stone to lose (pref before Christmas). I found the first half of the week very hard but now I feel less sickly and dizzy. I’ve found the total solution a bit too hung ho so started having one meal of protein and veg and 2 exante items. I feel this is more do-able. I’ve onlt been to the loo once all week though. Is it normal for things to grind to a halt I wonder? The things that I’ve ordered which I’ve found horrible are the coconut shakes and the sweet and sour noodles. The bars have all been fine and the daal pot not bad. Good luck determined . My jeans are less tight in just one week and I’m feeling less daunted at the thought of this week.

SmallDalek · 25/11/2018 16:15

Gung ho! Not hung ho 🤪

Thisgirlcancancan · 25/11/2018 23:20

Welcome bubbly and Determined

Hope everyone’s had a good weekend, still plodding along here. I have a couple of evenings out this coming week and hoping to stick to something low carb on both nights. I really want to give this my all until Christmas then relax a bit (but not too much) and straight back on it in January. I’m 12lbs down in the last 2 weeks, which I’m really pleased about. Feeling soooo much better in myself mentally and definitely starting to notice a slimmer tummy and face.
small to help with going to the loo, I would recommend a tea call Simatee you can get it from Holland and Barrett, I did Lighter Life years ago and they recommended it there. Don’t make it too strong though as it can have the reverse effect!

Determined77 · 26/11/2018 05:54

Well here goes!
I had my first shake and now I just need to make sure I don't have anything but water and my bar for lunch.
Oh I hope the coconut shakes aren't too bad as I think I have 5 coming.
Oh to have jeans that feel comfortable again would be wonderful!
All my clothes are really starting to suffer with the extra hugging they're having to do!
You are all doing so well 😊
I am a bit nervous as my works Christmas lunch is in a few weeks and we had to pre book the menu 😳
So I'll have to just pick the protein and veg and leave any potato.
Can we have coffee? ... not sure I'd cope without it at work.
I hope everyone has a great Monday

plumstone · 26/11/2018 09:00

Morning all!! So the weekend was fine, two shakes each day then a protein and veggie meal Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Chicken and Salmon with Asparagus and roasted peppers - all in all very satisfactory!

Have a meal out this evening and then a Mums net Meet up on Saturday which could be a smidgen derailing!!!

Christmas Day is 4 weeks today and I would really like to see 11.7 on the scales for then, Being realistic as There is so many things on and then the aim is to maintain that over the holidays - plan is shake for breakfast and lunch and then a meal in the evening. I am away for 10 days and with everything that is going on where i'll be , I think that No one will notice that I'm not eating breakfast and lunch!!

Keeping to the philosophy of shakes when I am at home and then loosen the reigns slightly when out!
Have a great Monday!

SmallDalek · 26/11/2018 12:00

ThisGirlCan thanks for the tea tip. Am going into town this afternoon and will try get some in Holland and Barratt. Determined black coffee and tea is fine though I’ve put some milk in along th way and still seem to be doing ok. I have a John Lewis coupon for free coffee and cake whIce is always a treat but am donating the cake to my friend who has a ridiculously fast metabolism and never puts weight on despite eating a pile of junk. He will be well pleased he doesn’t have to make do with half a slice this time round. I’m inspired by all the weight loss going on on this thread. It makes me remember it’s worth it.

AndThereSaw · 26/11/2018 12:01

Hi everyone.
Had a disastrous week. Medical flair up for which I have had to take ibuprofen...so needed a full stomach 3 times a day.
Fell so far off the wagon that the wagon drove away before I'd picked myself up!
According to scales I have put on 1 lb and am back up to 14st 5lb.
I had the ham and pasta soup for lunch and have had enough coffee to float the titanic. I WILL get back into ketosis this week. grr!
Well done to all those who have stuck with it, and esp Minnie. 70lb! That is fantastic!

AndThereSaw · 26/11/2018 13:01

Until midnight tonight code SAVE50 will give you 50% reduction on the meal replacements. Not as much of a saving as the 84 meals for £70 but that doesn't seem to be on today.

Having had a disastrous week I'm determined to puch on into December, so am going to bite the bullet and sell on or throw away the less appealing packets. have bought enough porridges and daal pots for every work day for the next month, and a variety of other things I either know I like or haven't tried to make up the third meal. I have lots of soup in stock but am going to give away any odd shakes, shepherds pies, thai soups and carbonaras. It's not that I couldn't eat them if I had to, but with everything else I have going on I really don't need to make the diet harder than it needs to be.

bubblyone · 26/11/2018 17:42

Hi everyone!

I think I've ended up almost doing the "Man Plan" - the meals were still leaving me hungry so I'm adding some chicken and low fat cheese etc.

Have had the opposite problem to small but it's probably en route when everything settles down.

Bought a ton of stuff between Black Friday and today's offer, so I've probably committed myself just in terms of not having anywhere to keep everything if I don't eat it. Sorry I bought shepherd's pies, not a huge fan. They may have to wait for refeeding - think they need peas and carrots. Currently loving bars and golden syrup/apple and cinnamon porridge. Butternut squash soup and both pots were OK. Liked mint choc and white chocolate raspberry cookie and apple crumble. Really enjoyed gooey chocolate dessert, but I'm used to protein mug cakes so maybe it reminds me of diet comfort food. Especially with a heaped teaspoon of cream cheese. Have some shakes to try now too - will see how they are blended properly +/- some psyllium or glucomannan when I'm in work without ice.

Glad my JL coupon lasts till after Christmas! Might have cake as part of my break...

That's amazing to just gain 1lb And the. I'd call that a win.

Welcome, Determined! I only started on Wednesday so we're not too far apart.

Have had a work dinner sprung on me on Wed evening. The all or nothing part of me wants to duck out of it or think it's the end, but that's why I'm in this situation, so I'll just do the best I can. It's tapas so hopefully can pick at meat and cheese if we're sharing. Only light ketones as is, so worst case scenario I gain a little bit of glycogen that goes quickly. You're making me feel much more optimistic, plum and thisgirl.

Bolstered by feeling a bit less hungry, feeling like my stomach is flatter, and the results of those ahead of me in this.
