Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

Mixed here. Started officially again on Wednesday as I am tired of feeling disgusting. Dreading the weekend as that's when I tend to ruin a diet unless we go out. I've had all my packs today and I'm now starving 😕

CBG17 · 09/06/2017 19:34

Pinkie, that is such poor form from your consultant. I know they make quite a good margin on the products so any consultants who refuse to support you with your journey unless you buy a minimum amount are bastards IMO. That doesn't allow for any off plan meals in case you need to eat away from home etc.

CBG17 · 09/06/2017 19:34

Tried the CWP vanilla shake tonight, very nice!

I'll have an ASDA choc bar as my dessert.

Pinkiepromisex · 09/06/2017 19:46

CB I thought all the consultants would have the same rules in place and I did wonder how people seemed to be mixing and matching with other products. Can you buy what you want and still get weighed and measured?
I try and keep something back until evening which is the worst time for me. So a choc orange bar still got my name on it for later.
I have cried off a girly get together tonight - trying not to tell people because I know they will all have an opinion and I just wat to get on with it for a bit without the judging!

CBG17 · 09/06/2017 20:02

The consultants can all set their own rules and even their own prices. Mine is very, very reasonable. She weighs me but I've never had measurements done. She is happy for me to do half CWP and add in some of my own low cal meals if I want to mix and match and has no issues with me using ASDA products if I choose.

I've seen another consultant's brochure which said if you're not buying I won't give you an appt for weigh ins because that's a waste of my time and this is a business. That's hardly supportive!!

Pinkiepromisex · 09/06/2017 20:23

Your consultant sounds fab CB!
Has anyone else been going to bed ridiculously early to remove themselves from temptation?

CBG17 · 09/06/2017 21:16

I'm usually in bed before 9:30!

Ideas for those struggling with hunger, if you can manage it, drink only black coffee, tea, water and sugar free drinks until lunch and have your products over 8 hours say from 1-9pm. It incorporates 16:8 fasting into your eating plan which is supposed to be good for weight loss.

Venusflytwat · 09/06/2017 22:01

I'm starting again tomorrow, 4 stone to lose really but I'd take 2. That's a good tip about incorporating the 16:8 timings, they work well with my body clock.

Someone mentioned bars from Asda, what are they please? Thanks :)

Pinkiepromisex · 09/06/2017 22:43

Venus the bars are asda's own meal replacement. You will find them with the slimfast bars . My favourite are the white choc and raspberry but the choc crunch ard good to. They are about £4 a box so much cheaper than a lot of alternatives.
I am sticking to Cambridge for the minute but they are just as good.
Had a cambridge choc mint in the end tonight - gorgeous like a giant after eight! I will try to get to 1pm tomorrow before eating my first bar.

artycakemaker · 10/06/2017 06:23

Thank you everyone so much for the information. I am going to try and do it myself and research the various options.

600 cals might be too low though, it was a struggle yesterday. I am going to try and get to noon before having my first juice. Today's plan was ; green smoothie ; beetroot smoothie (150 cals each), baked salmon and salad. Loads of water.

CBG17 · 10/06/2017 07:35

These are some of the ASDA ones

They are all at least half the price of CWP.

The 10 pack of shake sachets for £3.95 are especially a bargain, but you do make them with 250ml of skimmed milk instead of water. Still works out sooo much cheaper overall!

Pinkiepromisex · 10/06/2017 08:27

Tummy feels a bit flatter this morning ☺
Good luck on day 1 Venus!

CBG17 · 10/06/2017 08:32

Yesterday and today have been off plan. Crap, need to get back on this.

At least I've still been eating healthily and sticking to 600-800 cal both days so hopefully the simple equation of cal in vs cal out will help me to continue losing.

I had real breakfast today but will have two products for the remainder of the day and be done with it.

Pinkiepromisex · 10/06/2017 09:48

CB 600-800 calories a day off plan is fab. I am sure you will be fine.
I've put my bars in the fridge and I am starving but trying to hold off as long as possible. Had a black coffee so far but need to get some water down.

Rockchick1984 · 10/06/2017 10:09

I vanished off the thread for a while, sorry! I can stick to a VLCD no problem but if I have even one thing off plan my brain just tells me to eat ALL THE FOOD and I struggle so much to get back to plan. I'm back on it tomorrow, 2 months until I go on holiday and I need to slim down before having to wear swimwear in public Blush

Pinkiepromisex · 10/06/2017 10:34

Caved and eaten my strawberry and apple bar. So much for waiting until 1pm. Was deicious though!
I go on hols on the 29th July Rock. The thought of trying to launch myself in the pool with all wobbly bits on show is definitely motivation!

CBG17 · 10/06/2017 10:36

I don't think I've seen the strawberry and apple bar. Sounds yummy. Maybe my consultant doesn't stock those?

artycakemaker · 10/06/2017 10:52

My parents arrive 28th June. 18 days away. I love them, but my mother always sneaks looks at the clothing labels in my clothes. If I could be 11 stone 7 or less I would be ecstatic. That is a stone from today. Ultimately I want to be about 10 stone 7.

Venusflytwat · 10/06/2017 10:59

Thanks for the info! I don't live near an Asda but I think I'm going near one later today so I might try and stock up.

My favourite shakes overall are Slimfast. They taste nicer to me than Exante and Lighterlife, I've never tried Cambridge. Think I'm going to do the NHS pre-surgery diet of four of those a day and see how that goes.

So far I've just had a coffee but that's quite normal for me in the morning, my weight loss all seems to happen between 4 and 9pm....

Pinkiepromisex · 10/06/2017 11:46

CB the strawberry and apple bars is one of the yogurt coated ones.
Arty I come from a family of slim females - think I must be a bit of a throwback! I remember my mum saying that I looked square once!!🙄 she is generally lovely but honestly!!!

Venusflytwat · 10/06/2017 12:13

First shake of the day here. Ordered some of the new Slim Fast vitality ones and they arrived earlier. Trying the raspberry one. It's nice enough. Less sugar than the older style slimfast. More expensive at £1 a shake (£11 for 10 shakes worth of powder) but that's not bad compared to food I guess and I thought some new flavours might help me stick to it. Salted caramel to try later, I shall report back.

I might start making my family dinners I don't like so I'm less tempted...

Pinkiepromisex · 10/06/2017 14:40

Just had the peanut bar and nearly lost a molar - think the chewy ones are best kept out of the fridge!

Venusflytwat · 10/06/2017 17:42

Ha pinkie. You wouldn't look so good in your skinny new clothes with a massive gap in your teeth :)

I've got a headache. Was feeling a bit lightheaded whilst out but an apple and a cup of tea have brought me back in. Two shakes down so far today.

What do you do to avoid snacking all evening?? I'm planning to IPL my legs in front of the telly once the kids are down (DH is away) then brush my teeth and use mouthwash early and get into bed with a new book.

Pinkiepromisex · 10/06/2017 18:21

I keep waking up with a headache but it goes or I forget about it when I get going. Snacking at night has always been my downfall so I leave a product as late as I can and then early night.
I am on step 2 so just had my 20o calorie veg and protein meal.
2 egg omelette with 3 mushrooms - really enjoyed it but did throw a bit of unweighed rocket on my plate which can't do much damage surely??!
