Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

Good luck for a loss next week @Buxtonstill .

Great to stay positive.

I don't have much to report other than the blackcurrebt and Apple smoothie was horrendous.

Might have been the way I made it up as I didn't manage to get the lumps out and even using cold tap water it wasn't cold enough

Will make it up with some ice in the blender next time

Kittensgalore · 18/01/2018 17:44

Yes stay positive Buxton, staying the same when you've had a lot of stress is actually really impressive.

If the Cambridge shakes are anything like exante one the only way they are tolerable is with lots of ice and definitely blitzed in the blender.

day 13 for me today, second weigh in tomorrow.

AliBingo · 18/01/2018 18:48

I quite like the Cambridge shakes but definitely better in a blender with a little ice. I didn't like their smoothies though.

OhHolyFuck · 18/01/2018 23:24

Went off plan today - had 1 packet of porridge this (late) morning but then made chilli with jacket potatoes and cheese for the kids dinner and it looked so nice and there was loads left so I ate too
Only had a bar then for supper so calories wise I'm probably not loads over but carbs wise I am, probably out of ketosis now and will suffer for the next few days trying to get back in it

Juliecloud · 19/01/2018 09:33

OhHolyFuck, it’s hard some days isn’t it? I hate throwing food away. I’ve thrown away so much recently that I would have hoovered up before!

Thanks for telling me about the whoosh effect. I really hope that’s what’s happening to me. I weighed myself this morning and I’ve lost half a pound since my last official weigh in Confused I really thought I would lose a stone within 4 weeks doing this diet but I won’t if I carry on like this.

wintermonster · 19/01/2018 11:28

I feel like I'm coming down with a cold. A time where usually I would feed myself to help me feel better and give me some energy.

I've resisted so far. It's only day 3 afterall.

First shake this morning at 9:30am.
Getting peckish now but parents visiting soon and I'm going to try and hold off until they are gone as I don't want anyone knowing I'm doing cwp yet.

I realised that smoked salmon is actually not on the list too and it was the first 200cal protein meal I had made myself so that's a bit of a balls up

Tormundsbeard · 19/01/2018 23:52

Lost 1.5lbs this week... went off plan a little bit and had some chicken, veg and also some yoghurt and honey, but honestly not much. At 52 I think my metabolism has slowed so much, I really need to exercise properly. I just can't lose weight and keep it off with diet alone.

Juliecloud · 22/01/2018 11:17

How did everyone get on at the weekend? I went away for the weekend but I was so good, I totally stuck to it. My scales showed a 2lb loss this morning since my last weigh in. My official weigh in is tomorrow.

OhHolyFuck · 22/01/2018 14:09

Oh god, need to slink back in here... let's just say not a particularly not great few days understatement

Kittensgalore · 22/01/2018 15:19

Me too - hangs head in shame. I just can't manage the weekends. Got a bag of summer clothes out of the loft yesterday that went away after I gave birth to my last child, as I had no chance of fitting in them. Still don't but if I could stick to the programme I could be wearing them by this summer which would be amazing. So trying to use that to keep going. I don't find it too difficult during the week but the weekends are my enemy. Brilliant that you managed to go away and stick to it Julie, really amazing.

Buxtonstill · 22/01/2018 22:30

Thank the Lord everyone is still checking in. Please don’t lose sight of why you first joined this thread. I’m back on board. There’s no such thing as failing; only failing to get up when we fall over. I had a pair of jeans that I nearly got back into last year. I reckon 1.5 stones should do it...
Hang in there everybody.

Snap8TheCat · 23/01/2018 11:04

I weighed in yesterday (week 2) and lost 4lb. Total 11lb now.

Buxtonstill · 23/01/2018 13:14

That’s a good result Snap8. I am totally in the zone again!

wintermonster · 23/01/2018 14:44

Day 6 today. I don't feel much different. My clothes don't feel any looser and I still can't get my ring off my finger.

Weigh in tomorrow. I just really hope somethings happening

OhHolyFuck · 23/01/2018 14:46

Put 1lb on...
Don't know how to feel really, had 4 good days last week only having the 4 packs a day, 1 day where I had 2 packs and a jacket potato and 2 days of being really bad - large dominos pizza and a lot of booze

Back on it now though

Buxtonstill · 23/01/2018 17:41

Ohholy, it may be the pizza slowing you for a day or two. Please power on!

OhHolyFuck · 23/01/2018 19:06

@Buxtonstill I'm at work and there's a full box of roses calling my name! Must resist....

Buxtonstill · 23/01/2018 19:10

Don’t do it! Don’t do it!

wintermonster · 23/01/2018 19:17

Did anyone see the Channel 4 program on Monday evening which featured the Cambridge diet?

The results were fantastic!

I'm praying it works for me too

AliBingo · 23/01/2018 19:25

Ooh didn't see that one @wintermonster , is it how to diet well? Will look on catch up.

I weighed yesterday (first weigh in) and lost 10.5 lbs yay!

wintermonster · 24/01/2018 15:08

@AliBingo That's an amazing weight loss in a week. Congratulations!

Week 1 weigh in for me too today and I lost 5lbs.

Measurements were taken and I lose 2 inches from wait, 2 inches from bust and 1.5 inches from hips.

I feel like I've got such a long way to go

Buxtonstill · 24/01/2018 17:08

Wow Ali! That is a fab result! I have had a good day; totally back in the swim of things. Was in the local pool at 6am and did half a mile before work. Have had 2 shakes so far, and have drunk nearly 3 litres of water so far. I finish work at 8, and will be home at 9. Going to have a shake then straight to bed.
I hope everyone is having a good day and feeling positive. A couple of stone off by Easter is totally realistic for us all. Don't think of your weight loss as a total number of pounds or kilos. Aim for you next half stone marker, or the stone below what you are now.

Buxtonstill · 24/01/2018 17:15

Wintermonster - excellent result. They are really good inch losses as well! just imagine in 2 or 3 weeks time, when you have lost 5-6 inches. That's roughly a dress size. No more tight waistbands or bras that dig in!

Tormundsbeard · 25/01/2018 22:37

Oops 3lb gain this week... need to be realistic about how many small treats I am having - I think they add up to more than I thought... still overall I am 8lbs down over 4 weeks.

OhHolyFuck · 25/01/2018 23:30

Been referred to an NHS dietician, saw her today. Felt really weird after it actually, have spent 20 year attaching so much emotion (ear when happy, eat when sad, pride when I starved myself, guilt when I didnt) that drawing up a healthy eating plan that includes 3 meals a day feels so very odd, like I've been given permission

Going to stop the vlcd for a few weeks, as much as I'm losing some weight, I think I need a mental break

On the plus side, when I got weighed today, I was 3lb down from Tuesday so 19lb in January overall so far
