Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

Well I'm going to go for it! I'm away this weekend but will have it here ready to start on Monday morning. Sick of feeling lethargic and self-conscious and I think some fast results will give me the boost I need.

Penny4UrThoughts · 11/10/2017 11:27

I'm drinking my first shake right now!

I was a bit apprehensive as they use sweeteners and I generally find them unpalatable, but it's actually pretty nice! Honeycomb in case anyone is wondering :)

Buxtonstill · 16/10/2017 16:04

17:2.5 Hope you are all doing OK! Still hovering just above 17. Hopefully it will go down very soon Grrrrr. Have a good day everybody.

ChickenFriedMice · 02/11/2017 16:54

I've just read the entire thread. Well done to all of you! Is anyone still around? I've just started (day 2) and I've ordered some exante shakes. I'm trying to lose as much as possible as quickly as possible as I've got surgery in December and my BMI is 45 Sad

Oxfordblue · 02/11/2017 18:06

Hi, I’ve only got a few pounds to lose, maybe 5lbs, could I do it for a week or 2?

Anyone want to sell me there leftover sachets? Smile

Buxtonstill · 06/11/2017 04:18

17:12.5. Oops. 1st day of holiday for me. 30 hours travelling and we didn’t stop eating. I swam a mile this morning, and going to fast for a couple of days. My blood sugar is still under control, proving the Newcastle diet does work, but I have put on 9lb in the last three weeks after eating food I shouldn’t have. On holiday for a month, hopefully can swim that off! DH is stuffing himself with pain au chocolat and crossaints for breakfast, and that’s when I go swimming. Have bought enough shakes to last me the month. Good luck everybody!

ChickenFriedMice · 08/11/2017 09:57

I weighed a couple of days ago and had already lost 7lbs! It's so bizarre not eating though. I wouldn't say I'm hungry but the thought of a hot crumpet dripping with butter is positively sexual Grin

I'm sure you'll shift the 9lbs in no time Buxton

Buxtonstill · 04/12/2017 05:33

Back from a months holiday. Having a weigh in later this morning....

Buxtonstill · 04/12/2017 08:17

Oops. 18:5.5. Back on the plan, I vowed never to be in the 18’s again, but I was on holiday. Hopefully I can get back in the 17’s for Christmas.
Have a good day, to anyone still reading this thread.

Buxtonstill · 18/12/2017 17:22

Thank the lord It will be over soon. I have no self control this time of year....

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 18/12/2017 23:00

Buxton you've inspired me to try again.

Buxtonstill · 19/12/2017 16:22

All Roads. From January 2nd i will be checking in here daily, with weight and exercise for that day! it really helped me before! Please join me!

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 19/12/2017 21:53

I'm in!

amusedbush · 20/12/2017 09:42

Hello, can I join? I may be bloody insane but I'm restarting VLCD today. I lost 60lbs through Cambridge and Slimming World but I fell off the wagon and I've been bingeing again. Pretty much every day and I'm up 10lbs in two weeks. I know how slippery this slope is and I'm getting off it while I can!

I have some Slim and Save products to use up so I'll do what I can with those. I have a meal out on Saturday and then obviously Christmas Day on Monday but then I'm 100% nose to the grindstone until our holiday in March.

I weighed in this morning at 12st 13.75 and my goal is 9st 12. That's 43.75lbs and I have just over 11 weeks to shift as much of that as I can. This time last year I was 16st 7 so I'm in a much better starting position but I'm still much heavier than I'd like to be.

Buxtonstill · 20/12/2017 10:34

Amusedbush, are you me? I lost almost 4stone, then fell off the wagon, put a stone on . I felt so good when I had lost that weight. I want that feeling again. I don’t feel healthy I have been stuffing rich Christmas food and it needs to stop. I’m not as strong as you and can’t do it over Christmas, but bloody good luck to you . Please, the more the merrier. It was really motivational for me to write on here everyday. In a weird way, I can’t wait to get back on it. I feel healthier, it’s a lot less faff than buying/taking sandwiches to work. And I want my lovely new jeans that I bought at the end of the summer, to fit.

Buxtonstill · 20/12/2017 10:36

I started at just over 21 stones, got down to 17 and a half, now 18 and a half. I would love to be 15 st by Easter!

amusedbush · 20/12/2017 13:02

I know how daunting it was starting at 16st 7 so you have my respect for how well you've done so far! I'm sure you'll smash your Easter target.

I've never been slim in my entire life and three weeks ago when I hit 12st 3lbs, that was the lightest I've been since I was about 14 years old. I'm 27 now! The first time I ever weighed myself I was 12yo and already 10 stone so I've never exactly been a waif Grin

I've had one product so far today, plus a coffee, a litre of water and I'm now having a can of diet fizzy drink. I'll try to have my other products at 1.30 and 4.30, then my thrilling dinner of eggs and spinach around 7pm at home. The urge to binge is really strong but I'm going to power through.

Buxtonstill · 21/12/2017 08:55

Amused! Well done you! Thanks for writing all that. It really helps when you know others are in the same boat. I am getting so geared up to start. I have been given 13 tins of biscuits/quality street etc through work and got a taxi from work yesterday straight to the food bank. They never even made it into my house! Have all my products lined up ready to start in the new year.my online shopping order consists of nice healthy stuff! Hope your day goes well today!

martellandginger · 21/12/2017 10:24

Well done Buxton. You sound determined and focused. I haven't given away any treats (yet) but I haven't bought any Christmas treats at all. I did buy chocolate coins for DC but they are absolutely disgusting so don't tempt me at all. I've also taken to buying only cheese and onion crisps because yet again they are absolutely disgusting... Have a good Christmas. x

Oddsocks15 · 24/12/2017 09:33

I am thinking about a VLCD, I had a health check at work about 5 months ago and my BMI was in the obese range then Blush I feel fatter now than I did then, even my elasticated trousers are too tight. I can not face going on the scales at the moment.

Really need to try and take control of this, which products would you recommend or is just down to personal choice and cost? I tried Cambridge years ago but too expensive to stick at plus consultant was rubbish.

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 27/12/2017 07:37

I'm a bit shy about my true weight...would it break any rules to not put it on here?

In other news, I wholly recommend The Flu Diet. I've managed to lose 8lb since the 23rd. Equipment required: a bed, duvet, cough syrup, flu capsules, and a Mr Bean box set. Side affects include starting to look like Shrek, losing whole days, and being sick to the back teeth of cough syrup.

Onwards and downwards! 😃

Buxtonstill · 27/12/2017 16:52

Allroads, there are no rules on this thread. Whatever you feel comfortable with! Writing mine down helps me to stay focused, but everybody is different. In a way I cant wait for the 3rd of Jan, as I have eaten so much rubbish, and it has made me feel rubbish. Last year, I had a good six month run where I avoided sugar and processed food. The first 2 weeks wee the hardest, but after that, I no longer fancied stuff like chocolates or crisps. if you have netflix, or youtube/itunes try and buy/watch the film called 'That Sugar Film'. It explains how the more rubbish we eat, the more we crave it. The main star goes on a medically conrtolled diet eating loads of sugar and processed foods. The results of his medical tests were quite shocking. He was a very healthy, slim individual when he started, but the more he ate, the more he wanted. Welcome aboard all roads!

Buxtonstill · 27/12/2017 16:59

There are loads of different brands you can try. Asda and Tesco do their own versions of VLCD; and there is an online brand called Exante. A lot of people seem to like them. I read pages on their Facebook group, and find it very motivating.

AllRoadsLeadBackToRadley · 28/12/2017 14:12

I've just ordered a Wondercore!

Buxtonstill · 28/12/2017 15:33

Brilliant! half an hour on that a few times a week will work wonders :-)
