Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

Thanks you lovely people! Buxton - that's great! Not far at all to 17:7!

I was 12:1.8 this morning. Love my digital scales - every number is a victory!! Also pushed past the cravings stage thank goodness. The draw towards that block of cheese in the fridge is real!

Buxtonstill · 02/09/2017 08:14

17: 8 ! User 147 - you are so close to breaking through that stone barrier! Don't let one single mouthful of food jeopardise that! I am at work today so it will be a lot easier. Have a good day every body!

user1471504210 · 02/09/2017 18:11

I'm hanging on in there! I'm actually at a BBQ - lots of lovely food but I have said that I ate before I came as I was a little late. I have hidden a chocolate finger in my bag BUT I have accepted a Diet Coke. Be honest with me everyone - in your experience how much will this set me back? I am enjoying it to be honest (I rarely drink fizzy drinks) but the worry is there in the background.

user1471504210 · 02/09/2017 18:12

Well done Buxton by the way - that's awesome! So close!!!

Buxtonstill · 02/09/2017 18:31

In my experience, one diet coke will not set you back! Just drink loads of water as well! Enjoy your barbeque!

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 02/09/2017 19:10

User147...
I had a couple of diet cokes on a family trip to the pub earlier this week. I have still lost weight. I don't normally drink fizzy drinks but I didn't want to just drink water as people would have commented.

user1471504210 · 02/09/2017 20:54

Thanks for the reassurance!

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 03/09/2017 10:03

2.5kg off this week which makes up for the small loss last week. Total is 7kg lost so that is over 1 stone.

Goal 2 7/8kg

Buxtonstill · 03/09/2017 10:09

17 8.2. Not overly concerned as it is not due to overeating! That's fab Chaz! Have a good day everybody!

user1471504210 · 03/09/2017 13:27

Well done Chaz! Great results! Having a good day today. No weight lost this morning but it'll go down eventually!

Finding it hard drinking the water today as I'm doing things where I can't take a water bottle with me but trying to make up for it in the breaks! At least I'm too busy to feel hungry!

Buxtonstill · 04/09/2017 07:59

17:9 the 9 ounces weight gain could be anything, water, weight of food inside
me, so I'm not worried and it's certainly not going to put me off my stride! Have a great day everybody and remember we still have time to make a difference before Christmas!Smile

Buxtonstill · 05/09/2017 08:02

17:8 It's like my body is hanging on to a magic number. I haven't been 17/7 for a good 8/9 years! Still determined to push on. Have a good day everybody and drink loads of water Smile

Buxtonstill · 06/09/2017 08:40

17:6 ! Yay, on the move again. Now I have the 16's totally in my sights! I hope everybody is doing well and still motivated.

Buxtonstill · 08/09/2017 08:00

17:6.8. Smile hanging in there on the right side is 17:7 just about! Have a good day everybody. Hope you are all doing ok and can post again soon.

Buxtonstill · 09/09/2017 09:52

17:5.2. Guess everybody has gone awol? I will still post though as it keeps me motivated, and if nobody is on the thread they won't mind! If anyone is reading but not posting, hope you are having a good day, and feeling motivated.

user1471504210 · 09/09/2017 11:10

I'm here! Work hit me hard this week! So pleased to see that number Buxton! That is fantastic - well done!!

I'm doing really well. Hit below 12 stone (just) yesterday and can definitely see a difference in the way that my clothes fit!

I did have a few drinks last night and and out for a meal tonight for a birthday organised ages ago. I've been wrestling with it but decided that I can have a meal off as long as I'm straight back into it, because, well it's real life isn't it really? There will be occasions where I eat 'poorly' but as long as I don't continue that long term things will be fine. And my husband reminded me that I am unlikely to put a stone on in the space of 24 hours....!

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 09/09/2017 15:16

I am reading but I only weigh officially once a week on Sunday. I'm not expecting to lose much this week because I had a large loss last week.

Buxtonstill · 10/09/2017 12:11

17:4.8 ! Losing half a ton a few ounces at a time. Hi User and Chaz. Nice one Chaz for breaking through the 12 barrier. It's true what you say, we are not going to be perfect; life does get in the way of diets. So many hundreds of times over the years I have given into temptation, blown the diet, then gone totally off course for a couple of weeks. With this diet I have tried so hard after a slip up to just tell myself tommorow is a new day and start it again the next day. By and large it has worked.

I am going on holiday in early November and my target was to be 16 stone by then. If I really tried, I think I could go under that.

And the jeans I bought in Early August and have had hanging on the wardrobe door? It's getting nearer!

Have a good day everybody! Take a photo or two to motivate you, and remember to drink loads of water.

17:6 oops.made some cakes for a friends birthday and had to try them out. Plus I had a huuuge tray of roasted onions courgettes peppers and tomatoes with my chicken breast last night, so that, and all the associated water will keep the weight up for a bit!
Have a good day everybody!

user1471504210 · 11/09/2017 21:25

Thanks! It's been a good one! You inspired me to dig some jeans out myself - I never wear them due to years of being overweight and they feel restrictive. Well, they are on - tight, but on!

Just finishing off the water in bed! Night all!

Squashit · 12/09/2017 11:02

Hello everyone- signing in. I am on Exante total solution and it's day two and I am feeling ok. I don't feel hungry at all yet.

I cut down massively before hand which might be helping. I never bother weighing myself but judge it by the muffin overspill and recently am having to prise myself in my size 14 jeans so time to sort it out.

Ideally I would like to be comfortably in a size 12 and feel passable in a swimming costume to increase my activity levels. At the moment I am focussing on my steps and aiming for at least 15,000 a day. I am over halfway there already today so that is good 🙂. I have managed it everyday for the last fortnight.

Another reason for cracking on is that I am peri-menopausal and am suffering with a LOT of joint pains and the extra weight isn't helping.

I have had a success with Exante before but I do still have Diet Pepsi and (if I need to) ham and tomatoes .

Does anyone find they are really windy though?

I find that crochet is good to keep my mind occupied and my mitts out of the cupboard. However, I have only bought treats in for the rest of my family that I don't like so that helps. 😁👍🏻

Hope everyone is having a good day. I find this is my best time of year for losing weight- anyone else?

Squashit · 12/09/2017 11:04

Buxton I have really enjoyed following your progress. Keep positive x

Squashit · 12/09/2017 11:05

Well done user too. Can't wait for mine to slip on rather than be battled with!

Buxtonstill · 12/09/2017 12:43

17:5.2 so back on the way down again! So near to the 16's! Hi Squashit! yes, wind can be a problem here too! I have the odd diet pepsi, but I use it like a squash and dilute it with water. User, you'll be in those jeans before you know it! I think the jeans will fit properly in about another 7lbs or so, so maybe in a couple of weeks.
Have a great day everybody - keep motivated. Even if we only lose a pound a week, that's a stone off by Christmas.

Buxtonstill · 13/09/2017 12:39

17:5.2. again! Obviously disappointed a bit that it hasn't gone down, but it's better than going up. And I was reading an article the other day that explained that the reading on the scales isn't necessarily a reflection on the previous day or even weeks intake of food. Basically your fat cells get smaller, but they fill with water temporarily and then after a plateau that's why you very often lose a few pounds overnight. Here is a link: www.theswitchplan.co.uk/the-whoosh-effect/ but if that doesn't work, just google 'diet whoosh effect' and it explains it all, much better than I can!

Have a good day everybody!
