Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

Good morning all. Day 1 again for me yesterday after disaster weekend! 890 calories - 2 bars and a meal. Going to get weighed on Friday and hopefully be back to pre weekend weight. Hope everyone has a good daySmile

Buxtonstill · 04/07/2017 21:37

Hope it went well today Pinkie. I stayed the same; think I was maybe a bit free with the salad/chicken along with my two shakes yesterday. Very likely I went above 800; but certainly below 1500. I know salad is small cal count, but stuff like avocado isn't so guilt free....

Pinkiepromisex · 04/07/2017 21:48

Been picking a bit Buxton. Once I have gone of track I do find it hard to keep on the straight and narrow!! Tomorrow aiming for 700 cals so lets see how I get on Grin

Pinkiepromisex · 05/07/2017 21:24

Back on track - 669 calories. Really not happy feel like the slip up has cost me feeling ok for my hols at the end oc the month. Playing catch up now and half a stone heavier than I had planned to be with 3 weeks to go. I am excellent at self sabotage!!
Hope everyone else is in a better frame of mind Smile

Buxtonstill · 06/07/2017 14:23

18:5 so another 12 ounces off! trying to drink 3 litres of water a day is easy in this heat. and makes it so easy to eat salads. had some lovely crab for lunch with a a crispy iceberg lettuce chopped up. Hope you are all feeling positive still. Seems to be the two of us chatting on here. Hope everyone else is still feeling motivated.

Pinkiepromisex · 06/07/2017 15:49

Whoohooo Buxton that's so close to being in the next stone bracket! I don't drink enough normally but it is easier in this weather. Only had 1 bar so far so on track for a good day. Not sure where everyone else is but hope they are all doing ok Smile

Buxtonstill · 06/07/2017 17:49

The minute I hit 18st, I am buying myself one of those mini trampolines so I can have a jog in front of the TV. I already have one of those vibrating plate machines, and they are fantastic for toning muscle, but I will need to really try and burn some energy as i get lighter! Where are you going on your hols Pinkie?

Pinkiepromisex · 06/07/2017 21:33

Oooh I would love a mini trampoline - would have to close all the blinds though!! Usually try and avoid buying exercise things as I've bought loads in the past and only used a couple of times but a mini trampoline sounds tempting! We are going to Spain - can't wait. Grin

Buxtonstill · 07/07/2017 14:04

Sod it! I bought the trampoline on Amazon (£30), being delivered on Sunday. Out of all the hundreds of running machines/exercise bikes/cross trainers etc I have had in the past, the vibrating plate and the trampoline have been the only ones I ever used consistentlyin the past. The old trampoline I left in the garden and it got rusty a few years ago! I'm not going on holiday until November. I would love to be the right side of 15st by then. In 4 months it could be 'sort' of achievable. Just concentrating on getting below 18 at the moment though! Stayed the same this morning, but I drank so much water yesterday and my feet always swell up a little in the heat, so not unduly worried!

Pinkiepromisex · 07/07/2017 15:53

Hi Buxton, just been on Amazon really tempted but a bit concerned I would have to get the youngest down from the light fitting if I left it unattended!! In the basket but not checked out.......yet. 3 pounds up from a week ago - hoping that's more water and less dus to the bad few days. Do feel back on yrack now so hopefully it will soon be gone.
Hope everyone else is doing ok!

AppleJacques · 07/07/2017 18:44

Hi everyone, would it be ok for me to join?

Weighing in at 14.7 a few tears over that (I thought I was 13.5 at most hahaha...) will be glad to get to 10.5 and very happy to be 9 stone something.

I started Exante total solutions on Tuesday, I've done it once before and did well but fell off the wagon due to family problems. That was a couple of years ago now so have a long way to go but feeling inspired by all of you so would like to stick around :) Congratulations on your losses so far!

Pinkiepromisex · 07/07/2017 19:00

Hi Applejacques, welcome! Well done on getting back on the wagon. It's been a quiet few days on here but hopefully some more people will be around to say hi soon. I am doing a combination of meal replacement bars and low calorie meals aiming for no more than 800 calories a day. The shakes seem popular but it's the bars that win for me. If you've done it before at least you know what to expect.

Pinkiepromisex · 07/07/2017 21:12

Ending on 682 today. 2 bars and chicken and broccoli for tea. Hope everyone has had a good day.

AppleJacques · 07/07/2017 21:42

Thanks Pinkie, I like the shakes because they're easy, and I'm lazy :) are you doing low carb as well? I'm hoping to move to that after a couple of months of exante as I'm not sure I'll be able to stick it any longer than that.

Pinkiepromisex · 07/07/2017 22:01

I was sticking to the cambridge protein and veg meal but have gone off that a few times staying in the calories. Think with such low calories you have to pick mainly low carb when using real food or you have no chance!

AliBingo · 07/07/2017 22:13

Hiya, I'm on day 12 of Cambridge step 1 so thought I'd come and chat. Vlcds are hard methinks! But hoping for fast results. Anyone else on Cambridge?

Pinkiepromisex · 07/07/2017 22:17

Hi Ali, I was following step 2 but now a bit mix and match. My bars include Asda and slimfast meal replacements. Well done on making it through 12 days!!

AliBingo · 07/07/2017 22:56

Are the Slimfast and Asda as nice as Cambridge/comparable? They're temptingly cheaper!

Pinkiepromisex · 08/07/2017 09:29

I think the bars are nicer. Love the white chocolate and raspberry Asda ones and the slimfast chocolate crunch and yogurt ones are lovely too. When I looked at the nutritional info it looked very similar as well. Not tried the shakes as I'm not a fan. Definitely worth trying!

AliBingo · 08/07/2017 10:40

Thanks, I think will grab some this week!

Buxtonstill · 08/07/2017 17:14

Hi to everybody new! Down to 18st4.5, so that's 1.5 lbs off since last Saturday. Have gone off the plan a couple of times, but kept within calorie count of 1000. New mini trampoline coming tomorrow so I am going to step up the excercise next week and take the intake down to 800 again. I do very minimal carbs as I have diabetes. For anyone else who is, since losing nearly 3 stone my blood sugar is getting better by the pound! Good luck everybody, and remember to drink shed loads of water. At least 2-3 litres. It really helps when you hit a plateau.

Pinkiepromisex · 08/07/2017 17:47

Well done Buxton! Really sunny day been really busy running kids all over the place and am really craving Wine .Got chicken and salad for tea and will finish on just under 700 so I may have a glass! All I can smell is bbqs. Hope everyone has done ok.

UpinScots · 08/07/2017 18:21

Hi everyone. My box of shakes arrived and although I had planned to start the total solutions on Monday I decided to ease in with a semi plan early as I still have some fresh foods left that would otherwise go to waste.

11am - had a self made banana, peach and cottage cheese milkshake with semi skimmed

3.30pm - tried the Exante Toffee Caramel shake with 200ml water as directed

this evening is supposed to be a smallish piece of steak (pan fried using a tiny amount of fry-light) sliced up and eaten with salad (no dressings)

I have been a terrible snacker for a few years and am trying to find ways to distract myself from the sugar cravings and I guess the action of picking sweets up and putting them in my mouth much like a smoker gets used to the hand to mouth of smoking (which I used to have and quit a few years ago by swapping fags for sweets).

I have been trying to read through this forum section and will continue to do so in the hopes that reading about your successes, struggles and/or failures will help strengthen my resolve in the days to come which from what I hear, are going to be tough. I'll try to keep posting my own experiences too.

FruitCider · 09/07/2017 16:26

The nice weather got to me and I succumbed to burgers, beer, and pizza this weekend Confused however my eating session is now over so back on to man plan. Just hope I hit ketosis faster this time!

AppleJacques · 09/07/2017 16:51

That sounds interesting about the bars Pinkie, good to know if I desperate when out or just really need something new to try.

Well done Buxton! I really admire you, hope I do as well :)

I've not been on long UpInScots, is this your first time doing it? First 4 days are the worst I find. (This is my second time on exante)

I don't blame you FruitCider, I've only just started and I could kill for a cold beer. I'm sure you'll be back to ketosis soon.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend :)
