Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

That's amazing pinky!
I'm a pound down already, so feeling upbeat although the hunger has really started. I did ok last night, didn't cave into tiredness and hunger. Please tell me it gets easier.

Have a good day all

FruitCider · 28/06/2017 09:16

I'm on day 2 now, feel like crap. Barely ate Monday so think I will shift into ketosis soon. Craving coffee and milk right now but so far resisting!

Well done everyone else x

Pinkiepromisex · 28/06/2017 10:47

Keep going fruitcider. Have you tried drinking hot water. I think it helps holding on to the warm cup feels like a nearly coffee!! Are you enjoying the shakes?

Pinkiepromisex · 28/06/2017 10:48

For those doing food the cauliflower rice type of products - there are loads of alternatives are fab!

FruitCider · 28/06/2017 12:22

No I've avoided it - but did just shove a crisp in to my mouth when opening my child's packet Grin luckily I stopped myself at the 1!

Yeah the shakes are fine, I ordered strawberry, banana, cherries and berries, white chocolate and raspberry and vanilla and almond through a wowcher deal. The banana one is a bit Hmm but is drinkable. The rest are actually quite nice. If I get past Sunday I'll order some different flavours x

Pinkiepromisex · 28/06/2017 13:23

If you like the shakes that's half the battle won! White chocolate and raspberry anything sounds lovely!

Buxtonstill · 28/06/2017 16:53

18 11 this morning; so 3 lbs on; but I know exactly why. I had a bit of a binge, but not with unhealthy food. Was batch cooking some vegetable soup and ate quite a lot! Also ate out a few times. had a lot of veg (but no chips) so that is all inside me, plus all the water my body is using to process it. So not unduly concerned. ( I was reading an article that said that the average person carries around 3-4 lb of digesting food and water associated; Thats why first weeks losses are often good, as we get rid of food we have previously overeaten and go on to pretty low volume shakes etc) Onwards and upwards. Just want to get to the wrong side of 18! Hope you have a good day everybody.

Pinkiepromisex · 28/06/2017 17:08

Hiya Buxton, I love your scientific approach!
Oneards and downwards. Have a good rest of day everyone xx

Pinkiepromisex · 28/06/2017 21:34

Ended my day on 822 calories.
Hope everyone has had a good night!! ☺ x

clickhappy · 28/06/2017 22:39

Yay day done everyone! Kudos to all those on shakes. They are just not my thing. Been trying not to nibble the kids' food too.

Buxton, you have a point. I think I wasn't hungry on day 1 because I had eaten 2 days worth of food the day before but I'm feeling it now though. I think we have to take our current weight plus or minus a few pounds although I weigh everyday and am completely obsessed.

I'm working tomorrow so hopefully will be sufficiently distracted.

Keep on it everyone!

Buxtonstill · 29/06/2017 13:05

18 : 8 . phew. now back to some serious control once more! Have a fab day everybody, and remember to drink loads of water even though it has chilled down a bit.

Pinkiepromisex · 29/06/2017 15:39

Well done Buxton!

FruitCider · 29/06/2017 16:23

I think I'm going to switch 1 shake to 200cal of protein eg quorn mince with spinach, green beans etc. I had some quorn mince last night before going to bed and slept much better!

Pinkiepromisex · 29/06/2017 21:39

Hi all, hope you've all had a good day. Ended on 902 so creeping up. When do you think a vlcd becomes a diet? I think around 1000.sounds a good idea re the protein meal Fruit. Whatever keeps you going!

Buxtonstill · 01/07/2017 13:23

18:6 this morning! Finding it hard to remember to drink loads of water now its not so hot. Still motivated, and really want to push through to the 17's! This is the lowest I have been for a good few years. Have a beautiful Versace leather jacket that fits when I am around 14/15 stones. Last wore it 10 years ago!

Buxtonstill · 01/07/2017 13:24

Have a good day everybody!

FruitCider · 01/07/2017 21:42

I'm day... don't know what day but diet started Tuesday lunch time! Been having 3 shakes and 200cal in quorn veg last 2 work days, not sure whether to go back on total solution on Monday or stay on "man plan"! Definitely in ketosis now, my breath smells awful Confused

Buxtonstill · 02/07/2017 13:58

18:5 3/4 so another four ounces off. Woo hoo! Just made a collage of a photo that I have taken in exactly the same place, over the last three months. 5lbs off losing 3 stone. Onwards and downwards!

Pinkiepromisex · 02/07/2017 20:32

Well done Buxton - you are an inspiration!
I fell off the wagon in spectacular style on Friday and it was diwnhill from then on. Back on from tomorrow so need to be extra strict with myself!!

Buxtonstill · 02/07/2017 22:12

I have weigh in with the dietician on Monday; and a day at the seaside on Saturday. Always my downfall. Will be supergluing my mouth shut.

FruitCider · 03/07/2017 15:54

Oh god I'm craving carbs so bad today!

UpinScots · 03/07/2017 16:26

5'2 and roughly 13 stone here :(

I would like to try VLCD by using shakes and have looked into Exante but the pricing is a huge problem for me. I simply do not have the £60-£80 straight up cost for a pack of shakes and have no way to come up with that amount.

Does anyone here make their own meal replacement shakes? Or does anyone here doing VLCD know of a way to get shakes without breaking the bank?

MooPointCowsOpinion · 03/07/2017 19:21

Does anyone just do it without shakes? I'm on day 9 now and haven't bothered with shakes, just googled a few recipes and swapped out the carbs for fat in my usual meals.

I'm not finding it too hard, though I am very tired. I can see a difference in my size and the scales too already.

FruitCider · 03/07/2017 19:32

I just order shakes on their deals... currently 45% off. You can buy as many or as few as you want that way x

Buxtonstill · 03/07/2017 22:32

Ask your gp if they will prescribe optifast for you.
