Anyone looking to lose 100lbs in 2017 - Part 2

Hello, welcome to the second instalment of the ‘Anyone looking to lose 100lbs plus in 2017’ thread Smile The first thread is here, if you want to read it: Part 1

We’re a very friendly, supportive group, and we’re all starting to see some real changes in ourselves and our attitudes to food (at least, mine are changing!) Collectively we’ve lost 318 lbs since the start of the first thread, which is pretty amazing Grin

We tend to weigh in on Fridays or Saturdays, but feel free to join in at any time.

I will make one caveat, which I think is quite important for the spirit of the thread - we’re all here because we have a LOT of weight to lose. If you’re looking to lose the last half stone, or even two or three stone, this may not be the thread for you. Good luck with the weight loss, but you may find more support with in threads with people who have similar goals.

And with that little speech done, I’ll shut up now Grin

Lots of chat going on! Smile

Yep, I'm happy to set up a new one, but don't worry, we still have a bit of space on this one, 40 odd posts left Grin. I'll set up the new one tomorrow evening, so if you're all super chatty, please leave the last post for me to link to the new thread Grin. If you're not super chatty, I'll just spam the remaining space telling you to go to the new thread. I'll do our new 'weight lost totaliser' too, in honour of the new thread Wink

Excited to see our new thread total!

I bet we've lost the equivalent of a chocolate cow Grin

Star Star Star 612 lbs! Star Star Star

I couldn't resist adding it up Grin

Definitely the weight of a chocolate cow (or half a polar bear, or 20 gold bars, or 200 human brains, according to a rather strange website I found) Grin

Or a grizzly bear!

We rock Smile

Excellent! Another year and we'll be at the weight of a dairy cow rather than a dairy milk cow Grin

Unfortunately I haven't had time to enjoy being overweight as I've put on a pound or so with AF so have to wait for a bit to go back again.

beardotdo · 27/09/2017 09:14

612lbs! Wow!

I had a rubbish day yesterday and completely binged. I just can't stop myself sometimes. I feel rubbish for it and really need to tell myself that I can do this and can get my head back in the right place. Is anyone else a binge eater? What stratagies have worked for you to overcome it?

PostNotInHaste · 27/09/2017 10:46

Yes I am still a bit on occasions though improved a lot. I now work on the principle that there are days when things won't go to plan. I still write down what I eat in Nutracheck which I think helps check it a bit. I get it in perspective by comparing it to my day's calorie allowance, in terms of a week and with exercise.

Managed to eat twice what I burned off in a day recently but it didn't matter as the rest of the week compensated for it and I've learned one day does not undo the rest of the week. Mostly I can hold it in check, it's just occasionally.

Put yesterday behind you, don't let it become more significant than it was and go for a walk today if possible is my advice.
