Anyone looking to lose 100lbs in 2017 - Part 2

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 04/05/2017 17:47

Hello, welcome to the second instalment of the ‘Anyone looking to lose 100lbs plus in 2017’ thread Smile The first thread is here, if you want to read it: Part 1

We’re a very friendly, supportive group, and we’re all starting to see some real changes in ourselves and our attitudes to food (at least, mine are changing!) Collectively we’ve lost 318 lbs since the start of the first thread, which is pretty amazing Grin

We tend to weigh in on Fridays or Saturdays, but feel free to join in at any time.

I will make one caveat, which I think is quite important for the spirit of the thread - we’re all here because we have a LOT of weight to lose. If you’re looking to lose the last half stone, or even two or three stone, this may not be the thread for you. Good luck with the weight loss, but you may find more support with in threads with people who have similar goals.

And with that little speech done, I’ll shut up now Grin

I've fallen in the chorizo trap before, so I know what you're going through notanurse! Enjoy the Prosecco Festival, sounds like fun!

I've had a really tasty Caesar salad for dinner (with homemade dressing, not too much) and I'm almost sad that it was finished so quickly Blush Even better, both the DCs and DH scoffed it, so we're all feeling quite virtuous. Definitely salad weather at the moment - I'm not a huge fan of the sun, but it's lovely when the evenings start stretching out.

Not much planned for the weekend here - the gym is shut so we're all going for a big yomp along the canal, and will feel much better for doing so. Hope everyone else is doing well Smile

MirabelleTree · 12/05/2017 13:17

Well done Cultofpersonality, nearly a third of the way there ! 1lb is a good loss, easy for us all to think of it as just a pound but we're seeing them add up slowly to make a real difference.

Cultofpersonality · 12/05/2017 13:49

Thanks Mirabelle!
I haven't even thought of it as being nearly a third of the way there.
That's made me feel a bit better about :D

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 12/05/2017 15:58

Well done Cult and Mirabelle! Great starts to the weekend Grin

My afternoon meeting has been cancelled (who arranges a meeting for 4pm on a Friday?!) so I'm enjoying an early start to the weekend, with a coffee and the sofa, until the DCs arrive and interrupt the calm! Smile

Fairfax those are some great goals - I might make some similar ones myself.

Hi can I join?

I need to lose close to 5 stone. I have successfully lost weight in the past and kept it off, but that was before getting M.E. Now I have to try and do this while mostly sedentary, or very gentle exercise.

Since Xmas I have lost 8 lbs. Its very very slow but at least the scales are moving in the right direction!

I am using MFP to track my food.

MirabelleTree · 13/05/2017 14:03

Well done Fairfax and NoTractors I have a kind of list of goals in my head.

Welcome Sulusu Really sorry to hear about the ME, 8lbs is a great start. I track food as well though not on MFP. I'm finding it much more effective than I thought it would be.

Need to get off ample arse and get some more steps done so I thought I'd write it here to give myself an incentive. Up in the night with the dog and we've done a bit of a walk this morning so really would much prefer to go to sleep if I'm honest, am knackered. Hoping some of my tiredness will vanish when I am without Gallbladder, I think it might be on its last legs.

Well done everyone, losses across the board including me, 1lb loss and with AF here as well.

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday as I was trying to get cultured in London yesterdayGrin. I did hit 24000 steps, so helped make up for the eating out yesterday. I could have done with those shoes Notanurse, my feet are killing me today.

To lose 113
Lose to date 39
Left to lose 74
Lost this week 1

MirabelleTree · 15/05/2017 10:55

Well done BreakingSad. So impressed with the step count as my maximum is 17k to date. Notanurse I would happily wear Sketchers and live in fitflops, I just want comfortable feet these days.

I'vet just realised that nearly everyone I know is on a bit of a health kick and lots of exercising and dieting going on. It's nice as feels very normal.

Bloody hell you as well with the steps Grin Agree about changing it to feel in control but it does go to show if you are active it makes it much easier to balance the ins and outs. I think you can do 2 stone by them ,we'll all be cheering you on.

Sulusu · 15/05/2017 13:59

Well scales shifted downwards again by a pound this morning. Not too bad considering I had a trip to Mcdonalds over the weekend very naughty, but swopped fries for carrot sticks. My DH nearly fell off his chair when he saw that lol.

I have 2 weeks until I go on holiday and would dearly love to be a size 20 rather than a 22 and at least fit into clothes in my wardrobe. I cannot afford new stuff at the moment for holidays.

Sulusu · 15/05/2017 13:59

Oh and thanks for the welcomes :)

Cultofpersonality · 15/05/2017 19:52

Ahhh
Bad start to the week!
Let myself have a maccies Happy Meal.
I am ill though, I've got tonsilitis, so haven't been able to eat since I had it at lunch time, so it's okay? Haha

irishe · 15/05/2017 20:11

Evening all.

I weighed myself on Saturday but did not have time to post.

Start 277lbs
Loss this week 4lbs (week2)
Current 269
Total loss 8lbs

Unfortunately I also weighed myself this morning and the scales showed a 2lb gain which I have decided to ignore!

Congrats to all the losers
