ooh - top of the thread again!

Not2bObvious · 09/06/2017 11:15

That's great bath, under the 11.7 mark - you mightn't even need Spanx😉

Hope you have a great time at the wedding, stay strong today so you can really enjoy tomorrow

Was under by 28 yesterday.

Today is tough! It's my sister's birthday tomorrow and my mum has baked and got really nice food. She's collecting her from uni tonight and has said "have what you want" - it's sooo tempting Sad I am having some, but am staying under my calories. The first day I've actually found hard!

Not2bObvious · 09/06/2017 22:50

What are you eating for the last few days dream? How are you "spending" your cals (1600 I think you said?)
Have a munchie day and I could care less, minor blowout, within maintenance calories although not sure if I'll make the gym at 8am, vv tired after a week of rubbish sleep

DreamBallet · 09/06/2017 23:16

@Not2bObvious I get 1560 a day. Which is lots! I'm not eating particularly healthy foods though... Which needs to improve for sure, but it has still worked!

drspouse · 10/06/2017 08:30

Tiny loss, 1/4 lb but as I'm aiming for 1/2lb that's OK!
I was going to go out on my bike again (just errands) but it's chucking it down. I'll walk instead though (nowhere to park in town!)

drspouse · 10/06/2017 08:32

Dream can you save up for a party/special day occasionally?
I tend to have a day off every week or so, or just a day more relaxed. It's supposed to kick start your metabolism, I've managed to lose while doing it so it can't be all bad.

DreamBallet · 10/06/2017 11:13

@drspouse I think I'm going to have a relaxed day today, which is her birthday. We're both quite odd and enjoy our birthdays at home Grin I've only been doing it like 12 days (don't know exact) so know it's a bit soon Sad I'm actually going away for the weekend next week, so will have one then too! I suppose it's only 2 days though and as long as I keep sticking to it, there won't be too much damage.

I'm just getting up Blush so haven't weighed yet, but don't feel like I've lost Sad

DreamBallet · 10/06/2017 11:22

Ohhh! I have! I have reached 10.2 lbs lost Smile

drspouse · 10/06/2017 12:17

Well done dream!

DreamBallet · 10/06/2017 12:57

Thank you Smile

Hi! It's been a while. Well done to everyone on losses and resisting temptations. Back after a week away during which I ate plenty of fish and chips, ice cream and other treats but seem to have countered it with lots of long hilly walks and weighed in this week at 72.9kgs so on track for my target of 70.

Had to buy some new trousers this week as have nothing summery that doesn't fall down (nice problem to have 😀). Went to White Stuff who I think must be the worst offenders for vanity sizing of any high street shop as I had to buy a size ten! In the real world I am definitely not a size ten but it did feel good (until I kicked myself into touch and reminded myself that's why they do it and I'm only a comfortable 12 on a good day!).

Enjoy the sunshine all.

DreamBallet · 10/06/2017 22:00

Well, I definitely went over and will probably be a again tomorrow, but honestly, I feel crap. I didn't eat that much, but I just felt so much better for eating less! There's more party food tomorrow and next day, but I'm not going to bother with it and will stay under my cals! It wasn't really worth it!

Bathsheba3 · 12/06/2017 07:31

Happy Monday everyone. Had a lovely weekend, far too much lovely food & drink, but it was a one-off (wedding & whole heap of family staying). So 2.5 up to 11 9 this morning which I expected. Back on the case today!

Bathsheba3 · 12/06/2017 09:53

Nice to see you again In, & well done on off-setting your holiday treats. I'm heading for 70kg too, or 10 stone 12 in old money. Sizing can be so random can't it? I've two identical pair of chinos from a few years back. Both size 12s. I can fit into one again (a bit tight though). The other pair I can't do up. Hmm

Not2bObvious · 12/06/2017 14:34

Hello all. Hadn't been able to post all weekend as mobile site was buggered. Did grand, won't bore you all with it. Totm started a little unexpectedly so at least that makes sense of the sore lower back. I'll have to content myself with getting a bit of gentle pottering rather than a big jog or gym session. Nice to see you back in, lots of missing folk these days (Jonty - you out there?)
Sizes are whack, I know I'm a size 12 but I have 3 pairs of size 10 jeans that fit, vanity sizing at best. I'm sure I'd be a 14 in clothes from 5-10 years ago. Clothes sizes might lie but the mirror don't...sadly

Off for PT session in a bit. Can't believe I totally undid my good work or last week - not at the do on saturday, but thinking about it more, in my hungover state on Sunday. Blush. But brushed under. lesson learned. 11 8.75 today. GO FOR IT EVERYONE

Bathsheba3 · 13/06/2017 15:06

Today's food entered, & coming out at 1380, which includes salmon, roast butternut squash & salad for lunch. Yum. No wine last night. Eyes much less puffy this morning. Hope everyone else OK?

Not2bObvious · 13/06/2017 16:49

It's just bloat bath, don't overthink it. I'm sure you didn't eat 8000+ calories on top of normal calorie allowance. If we go on that thinking I was up 3lb yesterday, guess what 2 of that gone today. Don't fall in catastrophic thinking.
Off to the gym in 10....perseverance perseverance perseverance

OP posts:
Bathsheba3 · 14/06/2017 07:24

Stuck to 1380 yesterday, and no wine. I even had quiche and salad for dinner, v calorific, but all accounted for. Back down to 11 7 today. And am in a pair of crop jeans that haven't made it over my thighs in a good few years. Smile.

All rather quiet here - hope everyone doing OK?

Not2bObvious · 14/06/2017 07:38

Lovely nsv there bath, something v satisfying about reclaiming wardrobe items isn't there? Most of the weekend bloats gone too, it's only temporary once we revert to normal day to day.
Back to Fridays 11.7.8, v tired this morning. Ran, walked and did a class yesterday - will do a jog later. Fingers X'Ed by Friday I'll be the other side of 11.7!!!

Can I join you? Have had various attempts at dieting over the years - usually losing and then regaining the same stone plus a pound or two more. Have tried WW, SW, low-carb and found them all too complicated and/or restrictive relative to the foods I eat. I signed up to MFP two weeks ago today and have logged everything since - I can't believe how straightforward it is, particularly being able to scan a bar code for pre-prepared stuff. I'm eating more or less my normal diet with a few small adaptations and slightly smaller portion sizes. Start weight 13 st, current weight 12 st 9, goal weight 11 st (though I'd be happy with 11 st 7 as it has been about 20 yrs since I've been 11st!). I'm aiming to lose 1lb per week to keep it doable for me which puts me on 1590 cals - I'd never stick to it if I had to eat much less... Great to read about other peoples progress.

Not2bObvious · 14/06/2017 19:27

You're welcome newlark, and well done on dropping the first 5lb. You're dead right to aim for 1lb a week, just keep going the way you are, you're much less likely to binge at those numbers.
Finished the day at just over 1600, got a 40 minute jog in so another decent day under the belt😉 Shout out to all the other new joiners, too early to disappear, if you're hiding after a "bad" weekend, pop in. Bury your head won't help. Besides can't just be me and bath doing all the yacking😜

Bathsheba3 · 14/06/2017 22:45

Well done so far newlark & nice to have you on board! You'll get there soon enough if you stick with it. I'm finishing today on about 1400 calories (would have been less but I just finished off the 2 little lonely mini babybels that were in the fridge). So tempted by a glass of cold white wine this evening, but knocking back slimline tonic instead. Haven't managed to do any proper exercise, nor even walk the dog today as busy doing stuff. But have clocked-up 8,500 steps.

News flash - I bought some shorts today. May feel brave enough to wear them at the weekend, when I won't be spotted by anyone I know Wink

DreamBallet · 14/06/2017 23:10

28 under for me today
