2lbs down this morning, must have been weekend bloat. 2lbs more to lose this week then..
not, Need, Daw, Bath, Loli, Sugar where aaaaaarrrrrrreeeee yooouuuuuu? 😁

Not2bObvious · 04/04/2017 06:23

Sorry jonty, been on the missing list myself last couple of days - lurking a bit, but not a lot to say really. Weight loss has most definitely been hindered by lifestyle and I've a week away coming up. Hoping for good weather so I can offset the food/wine damage a tad. Had an absolutely rotten nights sleep and have a run planned, not sure how that's going to go but I couldn't feel much worse! On the upside, I'm 11.7.6 this morning, getting back on track

Morning all! I'm here. Plodding onwards. I'm managing to maintain quite well but scarily that involves a calorie deficit of about 500 and shed loads of exercise.
I did go for a run (give me a class any day!!) on Sunday and managed 2 and a half miles without stopping. Quite proud!

JontyDoggle37 · 04/04/2017 07:49

Not good to see you're back on track
Loli well done on the run that's fab 👍

JontyDoggle37 · 05/04/2017 05:54

Morning all. Run done, and the scales say I've dropped another two pounds, down to 10.9.0 already - just goes to show how much junk it's possible to store in your body!
That's my weight goal for this week met already, so I'm going to aim for another two pounds and see if I can manage that. Happy Wednesday everyone!

Not2bObvious · 05/04/2017 06:24

Well done jonty, I'm down another pound to 11.6.6 which I'm delighted by. I've been fluctuating so badly the last 2-3 weeks months, ok years my heads been melted but I feel much better (thank you loli, the RH mention has helped me immensely, early days but I'm confident)
Yes the junk bloat weight is so misleading, although mine definitely transferred into true junk weight! I've into my second week of decent runs and gym sessions, eating around 1600 a day and I feel much better

Lolimax · 05/04/2017 06:35

Hi both. Fab news you're both back on track. Talking of which a traffic jam meant I couldn't get to Zumba last night so I dragged the dogs out and ran the first half of the way with them then walked back. It did mean I managed to run 4.5k without stopping! Most I've ever done. I feel 90 today lol and I've got kettlebells tonight.

JontyDoggle37 · 05/04/2017 08:02

Not glad you're seeing the drop too!
Loli that's really impressive on the run, well done!
I should eat around 1700 today as it's a run day but I've planned my menu out and it only comes to around 1500. Will see how I go, at least I've got wiggle room for a snack later if I need it!

needastrongone · 05/04/2017 09:12

I'm still here too!

I'm just maintaining nicely, good to see you guys doing well. Loli, you are officially exercise queen. Grin

I did my insane but brilliant fun 25 mile race on Sunday, which featured every terrain you could think of, mountains, moors, trails and bogs. We did it in 5.5 hours, with stops and I loved the experience, far less pressure than road racing. The weather was kind to us, but the going was wet and tough in parts.

Monday was a session with the PT and nothing yesterday. Usual 10 today with the club.

I've actually deleted the MFP app, I'm going with appetite and it seems to be working for me. Logging the food wasn't making a lot of difference to actually what I was eating tbh. I guess I figure I must be on the right track, as everything seems to be stable.

Some days I am starving and stuff my face all day. Literally an hour after breakfast I am hungry again. Other days I don't feel all that hungry, like yesterday.

It's a weird thing!

VibrantAmI · 05/04/2017 10:12

Hi everyone.

I'm looking for active MFP friends, if anyone would like to inbox me with their details. I have 4 real life friends on it, only one of which has logged in within the last 3 months! I have my food diary set to visible to friends, if anyone likes to see what others are doing.

I've been using MFP for about a month, and it's helped me lose the last half stone of my 4.5 stone pregnancy gain. DS is 2 years old! Slow, but I got there. Grin I'd now like to lose a few more pounds.

I updated my weight goal this morning, and have lost 50 calories per day. I was rather attached to those calories, lol.

JontyDoggle37 · 05/04/2017 17:56

need you went to a PT session the day after a 25 mile race?!?!!?😱Ok sorry, congratulations, I was too shocked to remember that bit first 😁
Vibrant welcome, its hard when those calories get reduced on you!!

needastrongone · 05/04/2017 23:07

Ha Jonty, the PT session was abs and upper body strength, so I worked different parts of the body and it was okay.

Club run tonight, I have been promoted to the fastest group from next week so very pleased and excited.

B - M&S Great Grains cereal, milk, mango and extra dried fruit.
S - Banana.
L - Quinoa salad, falafels, Skye and bluenerries.
S - Graze box, energy gel. Clementine.
D - Jamie Oliver minestrone soup, bread,
S - creme egg rocky road (yum, made by club member), 2 chocolates, wine.

needastrongone · 05/04/2017 23:08

sorry, run was 10 miles so I needed fuel Smile

Not2bObvious · 06/04/2017 07:38

Well done need! That's excellent, your efforts are clearly paying off. I ran 10k on Tuesday which is HUGE for me, did it in an hour which is a another HUGE thing, I've done a few 10ks and was between 1.13-1.19, of course I was moving around a few thousand people in those runs unlike my solo saunter but still I'm thrilled. Did 5k yesterday in under 30 mins which again beats my pb by 3 mins (and that pb was from 4 years ago, usual 5k last 2 years has been 35 mins)
Did a late body conditioning class last night, not sore today just vv tired. Scales showing 11.6 🤗

OP posts:
needastrongone · 06/04/2017 09:41

Wow, well done Not, that's brilliant on the 10k and the 5k and the class and your times show the improvement in fitness. The warmer, lighter weather makes such a difference don't you think?

I'm going to do an easy hours running today and tomorrow and then we are away at the weekend doing a competition that my DD is involved in.

B - egg on toast, few grapes and a small apple juice.
L - M&S salad, fruit and yoghurt
D - JO home made fish fingers (using salmon), sweet potato wedges and lots of veg.
S - wine and a banana/graze box if I am hungry.

Not2bObvious · 06/04/2017 14:30

Thanks need, feeling much better about the whole weight loss thing - still wanjo'ed today so I'm prescribing myself a rest day. Your menu sounds yum, I'm going to have steak & sweet potato fries, looking forward to it. I'd love a glass of wine as well though😉

OP posts:
JontyDoggle37 · 06/04/2017 17:31

Well done Not that such an achievement 👏
Need your menu sounds lovely
I had wine and snacks last night (new life rule: I am not allowed in a food shop between 5pm and 7pm, I'm so hungry and tired then all good plans go out the window!), and scales were up slightly at 10.9.75 - not the direction I'm aiming for!
I also had a crappy nights sleep last night, and felt rough this morning, so ended up having a second breakfast when I got to work, which perked me right up and I've been good all day since. Expect I'm over calories for today (haven't logged yet) but I needed them and it was all healthy food.
B1 - avo on toast with an egg on top, coffee
B2 - porridge, peanut butter, banana, honey, tea
L - chicken dhansak with wild rice
D - bacon and mushroom pasta with veg included
S - coffee, tea this evening

Lolimax · 06/04/2017 17:44

Hi all. Waves from...Engerland! Very exciting. At least it would be if it wasn't the reason. DH is having some weird heart scan in BRI. We got here far too early so writing this in Costa watching the Bristol world pass by.
I signed up to RH last night to try and get my head round his macros and shit. I think it makes sense.

JontyDoggle37 · 06/04/2017 18:15

Hi Loli sorry to hear your DH needs a scan. Time sat in Costa watching the world go by is always well spent in my view!

Not2bObvious · 06/04/2017 18:47

I hope your hubbie is ok loli, fingers crossed it's nothing bad. I'm signed up too! But I'm v quiet for now, also trying to get my head around it all, loving it even if I don't understand much yet🤔

OP posts:
JontyDoggle37 · 07/04/2017 06:16

Sheesh ended up having Chinese takeaway last night as was late, DH was on his way home and texted did I want some, and that was that. Oh well, back on track (again 🙄) today. Run alreadydone (lovely dawn chorus), and just spent five minutes over coffee looking at the Richie Howey website. So his blurb says 'you don't need to be on super low calories' but when I fill out his calculator things it says I need to eat 1390 cals a day to lose fat, which is way less than I do now to successfully lose weight. Also, the meal plans mostly seem to be wrap based (the ones I could see without paying, anyway) and not much fruit or veg, which doesn't feel very healthy to me. Think I'll stick with my 'eat healthy fats, pack as much veg in as possible, lean protein, limited refined carbs, smaller portions' approach. Works for me (when I stick to it lol!)

Not2bObvious · 07/04/2017 06:41

Do what works for you jonty, but you have to do it😉 I'm still finding my feet with RH, on around 1600 and I'm loving it but no wraps for me and probably not quite right on macros. Key seems to be to not eat too clean? So you don't relapse and eat all the food. Make the stuff you enjoy fit your calories and macros. Well done on the run, going out myself in 10 mins. Scales up due to miny pig out last night, 11.7.2 but it's just salt, happy Friday all!

Not2bObvious · 07/04/2017 09:36

Omg - just realised how I spelt mini - I could not remember how it was spelt this morning lol! My brains melting😜 Did 4.75 miles in around 48 mins, v pleased with that. Greek yog (lf to save cals for dinner out!) with banana & chopped nuts, omelette for lunch, dinner out...yummmy

OP posts:
JontyDoggle37 · 08/04/2017 20:25

Not that's a great time, well done!
So, as is clear to everyone, I have not been the most successful dieter here this week. However, I started this week aiming to do three things - exercise 5 days this week, see my horse 5 days this week and lose 4lbs. I've exercised 4 days, seen my horse 5 days (and exercised him 3 of those), and I did lose 4lbs but a bit might have sneaked back on (I haven't braved the scales today). I'm calling that a victory. In the coming week I'm going to exercise 5 times for definite, exercise my horse four times and lose 3lbs from wherever I am Monday morning ( without putting it back on by next Saturday!!).

Lolimax · 09/04/2017 09:59

Well done Jonty. I had a lush day yesterday. Kettlebells (brutal!) followed by a walk with the dogs. Then some serious retail therapy with DH as I literally have no summer clothes to wear. This time last year I was a size 18. I do still get a kick from coming out the changing rooms showing him stuff in size 10's. Anyway 3 dresses, a pair of shorts, a pair of pink jeans and 2 tops later we came home, picked up the dogs, walked to a local pub and got drunk in the beer garden.
