Sorry Teaping that sounded really blunt. I meant, there's no point dwelling on our mistakes apart from being mindful of how they make us feel. If you feel regret then try to sit with those feelings for a while and then resolve to do differently next time. But it sort of depends on whether you're an emotional eater or not. If you tend to think sod it I've fucked up, I feel like shit so I'll finish the smarties and the chocolate and then eat a cake that's not so brilliant. We need to be able to think, well, I had some chocolate and it was nice but I'll stop now.

Sorry for the essay.

I haven't really been counting calories, but I so overweight I'm losing just by running a lot and not snacking.

ArseyTussle · 30/01/2017 21:38

I do remember reading a theory somewhere that calorie counting doesn't work for everyone. If it's making you miserable could you try something else?

lastqueenofscotland · 30/01/2017 21:46

Teaping it happens. I usually feel more motivated after a bad day.

I atuck to it like glue today even though I was dying to pop to the shop and get a chocolate bar.

Going to be golden tomorrow but on Wednesday plan to eat everything in site as my wisdom teeth are out on Thursday....

Then back to losing the other half stone in Feb!

Archduke · 30/01/2017 21:46

I don't count calories either Arsey and KOKO, but does MFP calculate it for you? I would say 1200 cals/day but I'm sort of plucking that figure out of think air - it would give you an extra 1050 cal deficit for the week.

Squiffy01 · 30/01/2017 22:10

My best golden day all year!
Calories sitting at 1068 (goal is around 1200 but normally I'm between that and 1500). There were a few bits in there that could have been better but I don't really care as long as it's within the calories.

Did 21k plus a trip to the gym for a very short, I'm so unfit, run!

Halo I haven't done both golden food and exercise this year yet it's normally one or the other so I'm happy about that.

Archduke · 30/01/2017 22:26

Squiffy 21K!!!???

Well done on such a golden day.

Archduke · 30/01/2017 22:29

And I meant thin air in my above post not think air.

Squiffy01 · 31/01/2017 07:05

All up arch I got 28 500k that includes a fairly small gym session though. Makes me want to be good today so I don't ruin it!

KikisDeliveryService · 31/01/2017 07:58

21k squiffy! Most impressive!

Final tally for Jan - weigh in today was up a Linda from Friday so not counting it! So 6 Lindas off in total for January here. Next month I'll feel pleased if I manage 2. A slow but steady decrease is all I require.

HairsprayBabe · 31/01/2017 08:00

Morning all!
Happy end of January, god this has felt like a looooong month!

Final weigh in for me

SW 12st 7lb
GW 12st
CW 11st 10

Loss 11lbs
Percentage loss 6.3%
BMI 26.4

Goal for Feb -7lbs obvz! I would love to get into the "healthy" BMI category next month, and 7lbs should just about take me there, but to see 10 something on the scales would be incredible!

lastqueenofscotland · 31/01/2017 08:06

Hairspray that's incredible! I didn't weigh today but will tomorrow as in my head as it's still January so u still have another day...

Hairspray that is fantastic...well done!

Last I'm also weighing tomorrow!

I'm aiming for 9lbs, and would love to get 7 off in February, but I suspect it'll slow down. I'm a healthy BMI now, but another 7 would take me to my goal.

TVHubbyClaire · 31/01/2017 08:24

Wow some fabulous results from so many, well done to all of you, its so impressive

I am giving breakfast a miss today as I try and see if 16:8 will work for me and Im sure I must still be heavy after all the tonic never mind the gin on saturday

Will weigh myself tomorrow to kick off my first full calendar month on this fab thread.
Hopeful to be at 13st 1 as I do feel that I am a little bit lighter than when I joined.

HairsprayBabe · 31/01/2017 08:28

I just worked out in total since I went on this diet in September I have lost 50lbs! Holy shit that sounds like a lot when I say it that way!

I am not counting December as I maintained at 12.7lbs because mince pies and balies so that is 4 months work! Bring on February!

BitOutOfPractice · 31/01/2017 08:32

I'm also weighing tomorrow to give myself the best chance to shed some post holiday and period bloat.

Hairspray that is an amazing achievement. Very well done. I hope you feel proud of yourself.

Did we agree a title for the Feb Thread? I can't remember.

It doesn't just sound like a lot hairspray it IS a lot! How good does that feel?!

quim Excellent golden day over there.

I am hoping not to get randomly ill this week - keep ending up having a day a week where I want to lie like a big slug on the sofa. It really doesn't help motivate. So fed up with winter now.

KikisDeliveryService · 31/01/2017 08:35

Something to do with Fabuloss I think boop (welcome back!)

HairsprayBabe · 31/01/2017 08:35

Thanks BOOP when I worked it out this morning I was like ShockShockShock

How about "Let's get FABuary! Lose 7lbs in Febuary thread." ?

KikisDeliveryService · 31/01/2017 08:56

Quim My mum just keeps on improving, going strength to strength - thanks for asking :)

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 31/01/2017 09:16

Wow, Hairspray! 50lbs is incredible! 3 stone 8! That is brilliant!

Lost my weekend gain - but my official end-of-Jan weight is going to be tomorrow! Hoping to lose another pound to take me to 7lbs.

ArseyTussle · 31/01/2017 09:24

Well done all! 50lb is amazing. I'm hoping to lose 60 altogether but would be so proud to get to 50. What dress size did you use to be Hairspray? And what weight did you start at?
