You guys are great - it's so motivating reading how great you're all doing. I got up early this morning, left everyone in bed and did a quick walk on the treadmill (only 20 mins), and a 20 min Joe Wicks HIIT workout. Feel so much better after a rubbish few days. I'm still at 8lbs loss for the month....desperate to get to 9lbs.

Will there be a 7lbs off in Feb thread?

ArseyTussle · 29/01/2017 09:57

Oh yes, we need one!

I'm at week 10 on my C210k app. 5 x 10 mins running interspersed with short walks. 610 calories!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 29/01/2017 13:19

Hello all! Terrible day yesterday - much banana cheesecake. Blush My hip went out of alignment again (residual problems after SPD in 3 pregnancies) so I limped around the shops wrestling with recalcitrant toddler and swearing. Two large glasses of wine when I returned home removed all willpower - but it stopped my hip hurting! It's much better today, thank god.

On the plus side, I went to the Nike Factory shop and got some extra-cushioned running trainers that feel like walking on air for the bargain price of £17! Really chuffed with that.

lastqueenofscotland · 29/01/2017 13:57

I did my run.

Be interested to weigh this Monday as I think I've done quite well.

Chardonnay73 · 29/01/2017 15:08

Grrrr. Put on 1.5lb 😡 Am hoping it's period bloat. I'm in a vile mood too. I want to drink wine and eat all of the things.
Need a big dose of motivation to get me through this.

BitOutOfPractice · 29/01/2017 15:48

Come on Chard. You can do this. Think of this: 17 march. Sun bed. Stripping off your sun dress. Looking fab. Feeling even better. You've got this xxx

Wow, everyone is doing so brilliantly! Well done arsey and Archie and queenie and Kiki and sh0rty!

Kiki how's your mum?

Squiffy I genuinely believe your problem here is carbs. They fill you right up and then they burn up and leave you feeling so hungry. I am not a LCer but I tried it for a few weeks once and it completely changed how I eat: my main takeaway was that they are a lovely yummy thing that I never want to live entirely without but are utterly empty calories, so I only eat them on weekends, like I only eat empty calories in the form of chocolate buttons and wine on weekends. In my head they're exactly the same thing. Bagels are the worst (and most delicious) up there with croissants: stodgy and bloating, and then once they're gone they leave you feeling empty.

I really really urge you to try protein for breakfast instead, or even porridge or something for a less zippy carb. I think it'll help you with your hungry / cold feelings. And I would have twice as much soup and ditch the bread.

Chardonnay73 · 29/01/2017 16:07

Isn't it the 15th that we go?!!!! 😱
I know, was so chuffed last week and now having put the loss back on it's just so dispiriting Angry
Hopefully it's just water retention and once I've finished it will drop off again.
Just got to grit my teeth and keep on going. Thanks for the motivation 😘

QuimReaper · 29/01/2017 16:07

BOOP I am living through you right now, I'm so so envious!

Chard it is bloat for sure - just let AF do her thing, grit your teeth and think of March 17th, and try again on the last day of the month. I'm convinced you're going to see a stone or near enough Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 29/01/2017 19:17

Yes. 15th. Just says 17th cos you know, the date. We go every year you know!

Last night of holiday. Last night of boozing and eating whatever I like. It's been great. But here's the shocker...I'm quite looking forward to getting home to done healthy food. It's like I don't know myself

Phew! Thought I'd be kicking my heels for 2 days on my own ! ( well, with the Mad Hatters for for company!) And lovely waiter at the beach restaurant would be bereft if you weren't there on the first night 😜 I can taste those garlic prawns now .....

Squiffy01 · 29/01/2017 21:24

Thanks quim I know I should ditch the bagels I just find it the easiest breakfast. I think porridge is absolutely vile and cereals I actually like are not in the slightest bit healthy and I don't have time to cook anything that takes longer than toast, I know excuses excuses. So very open to yummy breakfast suggestions that are low in calories and yum.
I can't eat nuts so a bowl of yoghurt and nuts is also a no no.

Archduke · 29/01/2017 21:30

How about fruit and yoghurt Squiffy? Or breakfast eggy muffins? You can bake a load in advance and freeze. I have museli with almond milk warmed in the microwave for 1min which softens the oats. Then add plain yoghurt and fruit. This fills me up for a long while. I really should get more organised and try to make these.

Archduke · 29/01/2017 21:31

Obv those are all carby but I find the oats fine to eat, but bread makes me want to fall asleep. I had a delicious chia and fruit roll yesterday - super healthy and tasted amazing but it sent me to sleep.

Archduke · 29/01/2017 21:33

First day of new school year for my daughters today! I'm dropping them off and then going for a run with a friend. I AM SO EXCITED!

Also I'm on a total high as saw Nick Cave play live last night. He was unbelievably amazing. It has renewed my teenage love for him Grin and fired up my dormant punk sensibilities.

Archduke · 30/01/2017 01:36

I've just found this Buzzfeed 2 week clean eating challenge which looks pretty yummo. I might miss out one of the snacks to keep the cals down but there are some good ideas.

Squiffy01 · 30/01/2017 06:18

-0.4 this week. Really disappointed but at least it isn't a gain I guess.

So that's -6.6lbs for me this month, sooooo close.

I can make 7 for Feb!

Stayed the same Angry

Really hoping I can do 8 for January

HairsprayBabe · 30/01/2017 07:53

11.11 again this morning, happy with that as I had cake, cocktails and onion rings on Saturday!

Was feeling a bit too green to eat very much on Sunday though so I assume that has offset it!

One more day of January then it is final weigh ins and the new thread!

ArseyTussle · 30/01/2017 08:07

Anyone doing measurements? I've lost a couple of cm off my upper arms (although that's really tricky to measure so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt), 1cm off my waist, 0.5cm off my thigh - again, tricky to measure - and an amazing 3.5cm off my weird lower tum.

BeyondCanSeeTheEmperorsBellend · 30/01/2017 08:38

Getting back on wagon today and determined to stay on it until bedtime

Breakfast - muesli, almond milk, blueberries, lemon & ginger tea = 217 cal
Lunch - spiced turkey and aubergine, green tea = 240 cal
Dinner - smoked haddock, scrambled egg and broccoli = 242 cal
Snack - either 2 sq dark choc or a packet of seeds/nuts and dried fruit = 100cal
= 800 cals :)

TVHubbyClaire · 30/01/2017 08:49

So many fantastic successes over the weekend...lost Lindas, parkrun PBs and NSVs all over the place.....congratulations to all of you!Smile

I am going to weigh myself tomorrow as I had far too many G&Ts on Saturday and Im going to be good today .

Got my 10,000 steps in on Friday and did another 5,000 first thing saturday morning before the binge. I was feeling very virtuous on Saturday morning and totally not yesterday....

I just hope I havent put all the small gains back onHmm
