Phew caught up.. Well done on all the losses, that's amazing, Flowers all round!

I'm now at 9st 9lbs ish I think but can't remember if that's up or down from my pre-crimbo feasting. I went for a walk with my friend last night and OBV we had a long weight/fitness chat - she had a terrible break up with her dh 4 years ago and the Misery diet caused her to loose heaps of weight and she ended up at 7st 7lbs (she's 5' 2" like me), she wasn't eating and running a lot. She's now happy and back up to 9stone something, which is, we agree, much better but we did think wistfully about 7 1/2 stone.

Thanks for the mozzie bite concern - it's less itchy but still ENORMOUS and rock hard and hot. I have a nurse friend calling over shortly who I will ask about it. DH thought it was a spider bite and spiders would burst our of my leg in the next day or so Shock.

Just had breakfast, now back into shifting dds furniture around, she has decided (on a 39 degree day) to move her bedroom around.

BitOutOfPractice · 04/01/2017 23:47

Just popped in to say goodnight. I have been golden again she the gym scales showed another 1.4lbs off. I am now back at my 1 December weight. Ow I just have to re-lose the weight I lost in December Confused

Morning! Day 1 of the Shred done - god it was hard! Children spent all night in my bed so I didn't get much sleep either. Late for work now, grr!

TheLegendOfBeans · 05/01/2017 07:44

Went to bed hungry
Waking up hungry
Mustn't be grumpy Angry

KikisDeliveryService · 05/01/2017 07:53

Official post 2nd fast weigh in is showing me 3lbs off since Monday 😊

It's been a golden week and I know these recent extra pounds are the easiest to lose but it's certainly gratifying to see the numbers go down so fast. I know the speed won't last and I'm not even back to my pre-Christmas weight yet. But it's been a long time since the scales were moving downwards rather than creeping up so I'm very happy Halo

BeyondTheStarryNight · 05/01/2017 08:04

Just 0.2 Linda's down this morning. I'm on a nice round number today :)

Adding some fruit to my muesli as I don't think I've had enough f&v. Tonight is supposed to be wine night but no idea if I'll be up to it or even if anyone is doing dry January (or even if I am?!)

Chardonnay73 · 05/01/2017 08:11

Another Linda gone 😁 3lb since Tuesday! But I'm doing an extreme version of WW this week, have been 8 points under each day to give me a kick start, feck me I'm hungry!! If I can do that then sticking to my full points should be easy -yes?

HairsprayBabe · 05/01/2017 08:12

We are really moving fast here!

I think she has watched a little too much Don't Tell the Bride and therefore the stag and hen have to be on the same day weird. Much wine will be consumed, and I love the fiddly canapes idea! Fortunately we are heading out after a few drinks so it will only be a few hours of weirdness in my own home, then I plan on heading back home after an hour or so. I think the worst part is I don't know any of her friends! So my house will be full of drunken strangers! Oh the horror!

Had a huge plate of veggies for tea last night with low carb cream cheese sauce.

12.4 this morning so -3 Lindas since Tuesday! Come on 11st bracket! I can see you on the horizon!

teaping · 05/01/2017 08:27

Great losses all round ladies! I'm down another lb this morning so 4 since Monday.

If only it always came off so quickly!!

lastqueenofscotland · 05/01/2017 08:31

Not as brilliant as all you lot! But a 1lb down since Tuesday so happy with that.

BusterTheBulldog · 05/01/2017 09:11

What's a Linda guys?! A lb???

HairsprayBabe · 05/01/2017 09:15

Yes! It was an autocorrect fail on the last thread, we love getting rid of Linda she is not a good friend to us, she is tricky to shake though!

QuimReaper · 05/01/2017 09:28

Buster yes, it was MummyReindeer's typo, along with her hosting a "Christmas bugger" (buffet) Grin Might be my favourite autocorrect fail of all time, that one.

Another dreadful night's sleep Sad I slept really deeply when I eventually got off but it wasn't long enough and I woke up with a headache, as I have done every day this week. I wonder what it is? I normally sleep like a log on golden weeks, knackered out from a calorie deficit and no booze or sugar messing with my system. Maybe I really have gone into "shock", but I still did two fast days a week over Christmas (although one of them was lame and included a chocolate truffle fail) so it shouldn't really be that surprising for my body that we're back to business should it?!

Anyway, on a more positive note I exerted amazing willpower yesterday, hardly any calories at all. I'll eat more today - later going to have a lot of avocado with some prosciutto, hopefully the lovely Good Fats will soothe my poor freaked-out system, I've got a huge tub of chicken soup for my dinner, and I'll go for a swim.

Better see it on the scales tomorrow!

QuimReaper · 05/01/2017 09:30

Archie do you normally react so badly to mozzie bites? It does sound like a spider bite to me, my friend got one just before getting on the plane home from Oz and her foot was the size of a balloon, the staff were freaking out that she was suffering some kind of insane DVT!

Only six or seven spideys came out of it when it burst though Wink

QuimReaper · 05/01/2017 09:32

I can't believe how brilliantly everyone's doing! Well done BOOP, Chardonnay, teapig, Hairspray, Kiki... Gawd I've lost track of who else is kicking January's arse!

PurpleDaisies · 05/01/2017 09:37

I'm down another 0.3kg on yesterday (just over half a Linda). Still no car to get to the gym but the weather is lovely so I'm going for a walk. I've had omelette for breakfast and have the last of done spicy squash soup with chick peas for lunch. Dinner will be vegetable and lentil curry.

ponygirlcurtis · 05/01/2017 09:40

Morning - hope your leg feels better soon, Arch, that sounds a bit grim...

I have done well with my calories for the last few days, but only managed two days totally dry. Confused schools aren't back till Monday here so my brain knows it's still the holidays and I am weak. Xmas Blush Will try again when I am back at work.

TheLegendOfBeans · 05/01/2017 09:48

I was 74.8kg (11st 11) January 1st.
Today I weighed at 72kg (11st 4).

I always weigh three times, in the buff and first thing.

I'm going to get a new battery for the scales before I get the party poppers out. I'm confident it's not right though.

QuimReaper · 05/01/2017 10:03

Two days is better than nothing pony - it takes me a while to get into the swing of being dry, but it soon becomes habit. Admittedly breaking the habit Fri-Sun is something I've seldom ever even attempted, but the midweek thing becomes second nature for me after a couple of weeks.

Legend that's amazing if it's true! I have never ever managed to find a set of at-home scales I trust, which is why I always go to Boots and use their BMI machines. Not always reliable as it sometimes results in me weighing later in the day (always on empty but it sometimes seems to throw the scales - I have an idea that all the moving around pre-weigh gets everything fired up and it weighs more) but moreso than my Salter ones seemed to be, which flickered by up to 1kg when I just shifted my weight a bit Hmm

I might give them another try once the bathroom is done, if I can find a space where I can just leave them be.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 05/01/2017 10:06

Legend, wow! That's amazing! Embrace it (I would!).

BitOutOfPractice · 05/01/2017 10:23

I've started weighing on the gym scales for the sane reason quim. Nothing to do with the fact that they weigh lighter than the ones st home.

Had a bit of s NSV on them last night. When I first got on them they said my metronomic age was 13 years older than I am. Which was doubly galling as they said the BF was 14 years younger than his age. I didn't hear the last of that as you can imagine. Anyway, last night I finally got down to my own real age. Very happy with that.

Well done on everyone's amazing losses. It really does spur you on doesn't it?

onemorerose · 05/01/2017 10:25

Hi can I join you guys? Back to being good as of today. I've a stone to lose. I've just weighed myself and have probably put on half a stone over Christmas and it's going to be so hard to stop over indulging but I've done it before and will do it again!

HairsprayBabe · 05/01/2017 10:31

I have never really drank mid-week unless I was on holiday, I only tend to drink at events, never really been one for a glass of wine in the evening. DP doesn't drink wine and it seems like a waste to open a bottle for one glass when it goes sour in a few days any way.

I drink probably 1 in 4 weekends, but I am a lover of cocktails and they go down so easily! If I am out on a Saturday night I can easily have a bottle of Prosecco getting ready 3 or 4 cocktails at a bar then onto vodka soda lime in da club, plus shots if I am feeling wild. No wonder my hangovers are so awful!

But it is a rare occurrence, I am usually far too boring for any of that malarky!

QuimReaper · 05/01/2017 10:47

BOOP your home scales tell your metabolic age? How does that work? I did wonder what "metronomic age' might be Grin Bloody well done!

Hairspray I wish I'd never got into the habit, it was the start of my weight problem Sad Combined with moving in with DP and discovering my inner Head Chef I just piled it on. Having been an effortless size 6 for my whole life I just didn't see it coming, took me years to get a handle on it. I'm amazed you can drink like that so infrequently though, if I hardly drank at all and then sank a bottle of Prosecco before I'd even left the house I reckon I'd hardly make it to da club! I am a pro at sinking a bottle of Prosecco though, I practise all the time Grin

Welcome onemorerose! If you have a squizz back though the last few days' posts you'll see that people have been finding the Christmas weight is dropping off people with some vigilance - easy on easier off I always say, as long as you can find where you misplaced that will power...
