Happy New Year Slenderistas.

Let's move away from the Christmas bugger and ditch Linda for good.

No, the ones at the gym do. They tell me all sorts of stuff that I don't even understand. I didn't know what visceral fat was until I started using them!

I am also a knock-back-prosecco champ!

Hello onemorerose. I hope that screen name doesn't refer to Roses chocolates?

I have always drank like this, I am a habitual binge drinker! BlushBlushBlush although a Big night out probably only occurs once every few months, its usually just the Prosecco and cocktails. I pay the next day when I can barely move for nausea though!

I gained weight when I gave up meat, before that I just ate what I wanted no worries, I ate a hell of a lot more carbs and not enough protein I didn't realise how big I was till I went to the Drs to go on the pill and they told me I was too overweight! So I went low carb after I got back off my holiday and never looked back ignoring December starting weight was 15st 6lbs Shock I have lost 3st 2lbs that is 20% of my starting weight!

KikisDeliveryService · 05/01/2017 12:57

I was also thinking 'ooh metronomic age, what is this health thing I haven't heard of?'!

KikisDeliveryService · 05/01/2017 13:11

Gosh I'm hungry! Low carbing plus 2 fasts in past 4 days and it's finally caught up with me. I've just had some leftover (homemade) curry with a bit of brown rice and lots of greens, but it's barely touched the sides but I know this is because I haven't given it time to register in my stomach yet - it takes about 20 minutes to do so that's why I find it so easy to over eat.

I have done 3/4 of my daily steps (and have done all my fitbit active minutes!) and will be running 5k with a friend this evening.

False 'feed me' pangs dissipating! Will have a hot drink. Even though now I rather fancy Prosecco after all this talk of it! I am not dry Januarying but I am being sensible. Maybe at the weekend...

TheLegendOfBeans · 05/01/2017 13:49

Well, f--- me sideways... scales don't lie. Just weighed in at a mates and the gym Shock

KikisDeliveryService · 05/01/2017 13:55

BitOutOfPractice · 05/01/2017 13:55

Excellent legend!

What diet are you on Beans?

Squiffy01 · 05/01/2017 14:04

Well done on all the weight loss so far! Very inspiring! I'm desperate for a cheeky mid week way but know if I haven't lost anything I will be annoyed and just eat everything in the house, cause that makes so much sense of course and will help the scales go down. Hmm

QuimReaper · 05/01/2017 14:07

Wowzer Legend!

Hairspray IIRC she's doing some kind of bonkers 600kcal VLCD, so deserves a quick win Grin

QuimReaper · 05/01/2017 14:08

BOOP you definitely need to eat more if you're contemplating snatching birds out of trees and eating them live Wink

BeyondTheStarryNight · 05/01/2017 14:10

We now have food, so my meals should be a lot less tin-based :)

teaping · 05/01/2017 14:12

Wow legend - go you!! Amazing stuff! That's gotta make yesterday's clumsiness and today's hunger worth it, right?!

Just scrolled back to the start - doesn't that mean you've already hit your 7lb minimum target?! Wahooooooooooooo!!!!

Purpleboa · 05/01/2017 14:31

Hello everyone, this is such an inspiring thread! May I join you? I need motivation!

I'm 5"8, currently weigh 11 stone 7 lbs. This is actually the lightest I've been for a long time. I used to be at least a stone heavier, but after I had my daughter 18 months ago, I managed to lose a stone and a half in addition to the baby weight! Despite eating ALL the cake. I think this was due to not really drinking for almost two years due to pregnancy and breastfeeding. Sadly, this wonderful state of affairs cannot last, and I'm slowly inching up the scales again...

My goal is just to lose half a stone and MAINTAIN. I love exercise, and am back into running, planning a 10k this year. I just need to stop eating so much! My DD isn't the best sleeper so sleep deprivation has led to me craving sugar. I also comfort eat.

It wouldn't be the end of the world if I was to go back to my pre baby weight - I'm tall and have wide hips, so I never felt big. But once you get a taste of being slimmer (and buying jeans a size smaller) it's hard to go back!

I'm still off work, did a gym session today (good) then had a huge chocolate muffin and full fat latte after (bad). Soup for lunch, now lying here and pretending not to hear my tummy rumbling...

Bunnyjo · 05/01/2017 14:36

Some super weigh-ins here. Well done all, particularly Legend - wowsers!

Am manically preparing for a couple of Masters presentations next week, but managed a weigh-in this morning. Am 1.5 Lindas down on yesterday, 12st 2.5lb. If only I could lose that every day...

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 05/01/2017 15:06

I am so hungry. Fasting is so difficult! I can do this. I can do this.

Purpleboa · 05/01/2017 15:50

I'm fantasising about the pannetone in our garage...it's begging me to eat it...

teaping · 05/01/2017 16:05

Don't cave purple and cheddar! So not worth it! I'm most impressed you've gone as far as to hide the panettone in the garage though?! Hehe.

Some inconsiderate skinny wotsit has placed an open box of roses on my desk. I can smell them!! But I refuse to give in...legend is inspiring me!!

Plus I have a newly found obsession with ketostix and I will be soooo gutted if tomorrow morning it shows I'm not in ketosis anymore!

PurpleDaisies · 05/01/2017 16:10

teaping I was going to say "how did you know I was going to eat a lot of cheese?" but then I spotted the other purple. I am actually really hungry though so I'll try and find something better. Grin

KikisDeliveryService · 05/01/2017 16:10

It's been 4 days since I ate any bread. I am currently obsessing about forbidden carbs. I have not been busy enough today. This cold turkey business is easier when less close to the kitchen.

KEEP STRONG EVERYONE

lastqueenofscotland · 05/01/2017 16:18

Pannetone is rank so leave it!!!

Not going mad at a friends birthday dinner is the challenge tonight.

TheLegendOfBeans · 05/01/2017 16:49

Major thank yous!

Hairspray I'm not on a diet per se but I've set My Fitness Pal to 1260/day. Let me tell you why:

I was pg in the summer and at my booking in appointment I weighed 12st so for 5'6" that put me as overweight. I miscarried in Aug and we have been TTC since and I swore I'd reach the weight a woman of my age and height is supposed to be before conceiving again: that's 65kg (10st 6).

Been TTC at the same time as smoking, drinking, stuffing my face with shite and getting upset at the negative tests...silly, eh?

So I'm now eating no more than 1260 calories/day and walking no less than 10k steps a day, with swims when I can fit them in (2x30min since Monday).

Main motivator is my getting hitched in 23 days but also I'm desperate to get pg again so those two are potent motivators to stay smokefree and shift my arse!

LONG POST

BitOutOfPractice · 05/01/2017 17:13

luxury prosecco pannetonne from Lidl is one of the nicest things I've ever eaten. Really light and fluffy and delicious. I have two sitting in my kitchen

Sorry to hear of your loss legend Flowers
I think you are well on your way to getting healthier.

I weighed myself again this morning, they still say I have lost a few lindas - I never trust them unless I see the same thing a few days in a row! I have not eaten much yet today and went ice skating with the kids so that will have burned a few calories (and was good fun). Beef stroganoff for dinner I think, with courgetti using my new Christmas spiralizer gadget - I luffs it!
