Happy New Year Slenderistas.

Let's move away from the Christmas bugger and ditch Linda for good.

Back to the gym tomorrow. Ive got classes booked for next week. Can't stop eating. It's so bad, all the christmas food is still here and i'm just so far from the wagon. I am not buying any more and have no events / meals / take aways planned so I'm hoping I can turn it around!!

BitOutOfPractice · 18/01/2017 21:20

Come on mummy. The sooner you make a start the sooner you'll reach your goal. What plan are you going to follow?

Mummysh0rtlegs · 18/01/2017 21:24

Back on slimming world, I follow it loosely at home. I'm covered in christmas Linda's. I lost 3.5st last year and have just suddenly gone WHAM eat everything in sight. I have an aqua aerobics class tomorrow, I need to do some lunch and evening meal planning. I've got 1.5-2 stones I'd like to lose before holiday at the start of June.

BitOutOfPractice · 18/01/2017 21:45

That's do-able if you get cracking. Planning is essential in my opinion.

QuimReaper · 18/01/2017 21:47

I will join you in the Linda Dance Kiki! My contribution shall be to pull up my top and display the jelly under't. It will amaze her.

Golden-ish day today. Managed almost 14,000 steps but was too late for a swim. Was good on food but suddenly remembered some unaccountably-neglected Christmas biscuits my aunt gave me - there's just a bunch of sleeves in there of cookies and jaffa cakes in a cool tin, and it made me think about jaffa cakes and I didn't stop all night! Tonic water is distracting me Grin

Weighing in tomorrow, haven't weighed on a week this pathetic in a while - was good yesterday and today but not Monday and going out for drinks tomorrow eve!

I have no energy today Sad

QuimReaper · 18/01/2017 21:50

Ooooh, Mummy is that you, off of Linda and the Christmas Bugger?

Meant to say well done tea for whacking it out the park basically halfway through the month!

BOOP condolences on your sticky scale, it is so bloody frustrating. All this goldenness doesn't go unremarked though, it'll be making a difference.

ponygirlcurtis · 18/01/2017 21:53

Evening all. I must post more often, missing the chat! I am not having a good week weight-wise - having my period and I have given myself carte blanche to just mess it all up. Confused So don't expect to be down, if anything may be up. Angry But still a couple of weeks to go, must get my head down and focus...

Archduke · 18/01/2017 21:57

Mummy can you chuck out the Christmas food? Or lock it in a cupboard and forget about it, it's really hard to change your mindset when every time you open the pantry a box of chocs is staring at you, pleading to be eaten. It's a great idea to crank up the exercise, I find that I resent the calories gained by stuffing myself with junk when I only have to run them off.

Oh, and are you mummyreindeerlegs? With a new/old non-festive name? Grin

Hot News chez Archduke - me and the little Dukes may be coming back to Blighty in April - this would give me a good reason to lose the final stone so I can step off the plane looking all fresh and lissom rather than rolling off and bouncing down the steps.

BitOutOfPractice · 18/01/2017 22:59

Oo Archie that sounds good. How long would you be here for?

I have one week till holiday when all bets will be off. Must. Remain. Focused.

Hey Boop we'll probably be over for about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks. My youngest dd is desperate to see Paris (!) so thinking of visiting there in between all the friends and rellies. Would love to come for a month but think it's too difficult. My parents are oldish (70s) so want to spend as much time with them as possible whilst I can.

lastqueenofscotland · 19/01/2017 07:19

I've done it!! I'm down half a stone! This is the lightest I have been for months and months and months. Grin
Really motivated to have a good day now, as I know tomorrow/Saturday is likely to be a write off Confused

00100001 · 19/01/2017 07:21

WHOOOOOOP WHOOOOOOP!!!!

ArseyTussle · 19/01/2017 07:29

Bravo queen!

I broke with tradition and went for a mid week weigh in today (normally do Mondays), and I've lost 1.3kg since Monday. Confused. Which takes me to a total loss of 5.5lb. Pushing on for the big 7!

lastqueenofscotland · 19/01/2017 07:31

Well done arsey.

Everyone is smashing it!

BitOutOfPractice · 19/01/2017 07:39

Hurrah Lasty that's excellent!

Arsey that is great! Well done. You are acing this!

Even I have lost 0.6 of a Linda. There's something in the air!

Morning all, 12.3 today, plus AF has arrived so I am not too worried about very slow losses this week and I am hoping it all falls off once I come off.

We still have sooooo much choccy and sweets left from christmas. I went through it all earlier in the month and decided what I was keeping, giving away freezing or taking to work! I kept one bar of lemon drizzle chocolate that I have had a few squares of so far. Nothing else from our haul shall pass my lips!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 19/01/2017 08:57

Well done everyone! Some really amazing losses for the month already and it's only the 19th!

Hairspray lemon drizzle chocolate?

I will be weighing in tomorrow but I'm not sure I will have lost anything this week. I've had two golden fast days but I was far from golden at the weekend so I don't know how it will even out. I guess I will just have to be as golden as possible today and keep my fingers crossed!

Chardonnay73 · 19/01/2017 08:59

Well done to those who have shed Linda's! I had a sneaky weigh and have lost .....half a pound this week 😩 Feel cheated as lived on soup for 2 days whilst ill, although I've not moved off the sofa so lack of exercise will have had something to do with it.
Dying to get back to the gym and get back on track ( there's a sentence I never thought I'd write!!Shock)
Going to wrap up and go for a walk even though weather is vile to try and boost my metabolism a bit.

They will have to prize it from my cold dead hands!

KikisDeliveryService · 19/01/2017 09:07

Bravo losers! I can't join you but it has strengthened my fast day resolve, after which, while I won't find myself on the slenderisters bench should hopefully mitigate against a gain this week. I have miles of walking planned for the day and a slightly sickly run to do this evening (i.e. me and running buddy have both been struck down this week so it will be slow, short and likely punctuated with coughing fits).

KikisDeliveryService · 19/01/2017 09:09
SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 19/01/2017 09:11

Hairspray that looks delicious! You always seem to have amazing sounding food and recipes. I am now really tempted to order some now though..

HairsprayBabe · 19/01/2017 09:16

Thanks Spurious I am a total foodie, hence getting so fat in the first place Grin for ages I just thought I as a buxom Nigella type, turns out I was just obese Grin

Not any more though! Just overweight now! Ha

P.S. it is super yummy, and I am rationing it very very carefully. DP knows he will be flayed living if he touches it as it is my only really "naughty" treat in the house! I have about 2-3 squares on a Friday or Saturday then I put it away and try my best to forget about it.

BitOutOfPractice · 19/01/2017 09:31

"What's that you're wearing BOOP?" I hear you all chorus.

"Why it's a s pair of size 12 jeans," BOOP replies.
