Happy New Year Slenderistas.

Let's move away from the Christmas bugger and ditch Linda for good.

Hi all, I've lost 4lbs so far this January. 3 more to go in this last 2 weeks. I really should be able to do it.

LastQueen if you are doing amazing runs then the weight will surely fall off you. You must be super fit & toned up if you can do 6 mile runs. I've just got back from W9R1 of c25k, managed almost 5km in 30 mins, am absolutely buggered but feel fabulous (if I ignore the fact I can barely walk).

Off to the pub shortly with dh and his cycling mates. It's the group that rode from Melbourne to Adelaide non-stop (1100kms) last Feb, so an evening of nerdy obsessive cycling talk awaits. Woo Hoo.

teaping · 18/01/2017 09:19

Yay I have magically lost 2lbs overnight after my gain for the last 2 days (I know, I know, I shouldn't weigh daily but I'm addicted!). So that's my 7lbs for January bailed :-)

Unfortunately another stone to go By April - not sure it's even possible :-S

Queen hopefully tomorrow will show you your loss! x

PurpleDaisies · 18/01/2017 09:36

I'm now back at my lowest since New Year. Unfortunately it's mostly down to lack of appetite due to sinusitis but I'll celebrate anyway. I'm down 2.1kg (just over 4 and a half lindas) in total.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 18/01/2017 10:31

Grin at nerdy cycling talk! One of my ex-colleagues is a cyclist like that - sends his holidays cycling up and down the Alps for fun (maniac).

I am maintaining at 11 stone 3.5 - total loss so far, 4lbs. That's not too bad (she says grudgingly) - it's just that in my head I was going to lose pounds and pounds in the first fortnight because I thought that was just what happened, and then settle into slow 1-2 lb a week losses after that. Maybe 5:2 is just too slow. I'm going to stick it out through Jan and Feb and then spend March and April doing the 8 week Blood Sugar Diet. I've also decided to sign up for this , so I'll have to start C25k when the evenings get a bit lighter - I can barely run for a bus at the moment. It looks awesome, though - what's not to like about inflatable water obstacles?

ArseyTussle · 18/01/2017 11:13

Morning, heavy breathers.

Anyone else starving? I could eat the leg off a scabby monkey. This is my third day of 16 - 8, who knows if it works, I think the person who devised the plan underestimated my ability to eat 16 hours' worth of food in 8.

So, will be climbing the walls til 12, with galloping halitosis and the attention span of a gnat.

lastqueenofscotland · 18/01/2017 11:23

Arsey me too... And I've got a dentist appointment at 3 and can't eat till after that Angry

ArseyTussle · 18/01/2017 11:27

Oh no! Are you doing 5-2?

Could you swish a bit of mouthwash round beforehand, or will the alcohol go straight into your starved system and you'll turn up hammered?

lastqueenofscotland · 18/01/2017 11:34

I've been asked to do null by mouth for 12 hours beforehand except fluids for some reason. Angry lady in my office is eating a pain au chocolate... Is there no god?!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 18/01/2017 12:03

Hello all! I'm doing another fast day today. I had to get up and out for an early meeting this morning, so didn't have any breakfast. Think I might just power through until dinner actually. I am feeling weirdly optimistic and motivated, the meeting went well and the sun is shining and I have had an abundance of coffee. I feel like we can all do this and we'll be slender slenderistas in no time 💪🏼

So far my ankles look thinner, my boobs seem either smaller or perkier, I'm not 100% sure which, and the very top of my tummy (ie, my rib cage) seems thinner. The flobby C section overhang/spare tyre - no change. Grr! Oh and the dowager's hump at the back of my neck (yuck) also no change.

BitOutOfPractice · 18/01/2017 13:37

You've painted a lovely picture TooMature Grin

But I hear you about the C-section overhang. It is vile. I hate it.

I think it must be National Stabing Hungry Dieters Day today. Because I could eat a scabby dog.

Good news cheddar I have nearly lost my back rolls, really hope I can shift into the 11st bracket this month, the 12s are getting boring....

ArseyTussle · 18/01/2017 13:43

Cheddar, you sound a lissom delight. Grin
Perky and thinner are good, flobby and hump are both perhaps areas yet to reach their true potential. Grin

I have one of those weird overhang things, and I didn't have a c-section, what's THAT about? Confused

KikisDeliveryService · 18/01/2017 13:51

Feeling quite a lot better today which is good news and I'm hoping to chase off the carb monster who returns the moment I am weakened and has been snuggled up with me for a few days now. I know I should cut her loose right away but alas I am holding her close for another day.

Tomorrow will be a fast day and a reset.

You're all doing so damn well! I'm proud of you, if not terribly envious. Getting sick and going out drinking cocktails then drunkenly snacking on junk creates a real set back and I wasn't doing very well to begin with.

BitOutOfPractice · 18/01/2017 14:00

I'm not doing well Kiki. Despite all round goldenness I have not shifted an ounce all week Angry

OP posts:
KikisDeliveryService · 18/01/2017 14:08

You will boop, because the goldenness will have its effect eventually. How far are you from target? Is it that most stubborn of all last stone?

I have (temporarily I hope) lost all willpower. Why couldn't I have one of those colds where you lose your appetite rather than searching for energy in highly calorific food, and then don't move, at all? My fitbit has lost all hope in me these past few days.

TVHubbyClaire · 18/01/2017 14:10

Joined a close to work gym today because its not a huge cost and no long contract

hoping to use it twice a week on a Monday/Wednesday lunch hour for time on treadmill and also maybe a metafit class on a Thursday after work. Fingers crossed I actually make it there and its all down to will power and motivation to get me out of my seat

Hoping to be losing lots of lindas in next month.....well 7 at least!!

BitOutOfPractice · 18/01/2017 14:18

I have 8lbs to my initial goal. Which is a healthy BMI. I'd like to lose maybe 10lbs more than that.

Well it's 9lbs now. I shouldn't have posted that I was in the 11 stone bracket. I have angered the goddess Linda Sad

OP posts:
KikisDeliveryService · 18/01/2017 14:25

boop you are doing brilliantly. I will distract her with a special totemic All Praise Linda dance (mesmerising jiggle of my thighs mainly, though other areas will naturally join in) and she'll turn her gaze away from you long enough for you decrease your stats once again.

KikisDeliveryService · 18/01/2017 14:25

Sounds like a great plan TV!

BitOutOfPractice · 18/01/2017 15:11

It's good to know you have my back kiki
*
TV* I think one of the main benefits of a gym is that you're less inclined to scoff naughty things when you've sweated your arse off

OP posts:
KikisDeliveryService · 18/01/2017 16:34

That's so true boop, I'm genuinely less inclined to eat when I'm full of exercise endorphins. And you physically have less time to eat. Plus the whole not wanting to ruin a good day thing

After thinking about my Linda goddess distraction, I now really do want to go dancing! I'm clearly feeling better Smile

lastqueenofscotland · 18/01/2017 17:43

Didn't go mad after my nil by mouth torture was over and just had a snack as having a decent dinner.

I'm so much less ravenous today which is good.

BitOutOfPractice · 18/01/2017 18:34

Well done lastqueen
