"Cold things" Grin

Sounds delish Hairspray, I am now jonesing for some fishcakes!

Fast day today. I am pretending yesterday never happened. I can be good today and tomorrow, so will weigh on Thurs morning but won't hold out hope for a huge loss. If I lose a couple of hundred grams I'll call it a win.

BitOutOfPractice · 17/01/2017 12:27

I bought a dress in Primani a few weeks ago. Bought a size bigger because they come up so small and I still couldn't get it on. Its a wrap dress and I couldn't get the button done up across my rib cage. I was gutted. Then a friend suggested a get one of those button expander things you get when your trousers are getting tight. I ordered one off ebay and it came at the weekend. Well. I've tried it on this morning and it fits without the extender Grin I am so chuffed. I am taking that as a NSV seeing as the scales are stubbornly not budging.

And as a bonus it makes my norks look fab Wink

Waaaaahey BOOP that is fabulous, well bloody done! Goes to show that even when it feels like the scales are crawling down, just a few weeks' work can be the difference between dress sizes!

teaping · 17/01/2017 13:07

Well done BOOP, that's fab! You must be feeling great!

For lunch today I had cucumber slices with egg mayo and pancetta on top, with 2 Heck chicken sausages and some cherry tomatoes on the side. It came to 297 calls. Do you think that's too much for lunch?

lastqueenofscotland · 17/01/2017 13:16

Tea that's fine for lunch! I'd still be hungry

BitOutOfPractice · 17/01/2017 13:20

I have about 300 calories for breakfast, 300 for lunch and 500 for dinner teaping

OP posts:
QuimReaper · 17/01/2017 13:33

Looks lovely tea! Definitely not too much. How many calories are you eating / aiming to eat a day?

HairsprayBabe · 17/01/2017 13:47

Excellent news there boop! Love a NSV, I went to Matalan at the weekend and bought some new work clothes as my old ones are literally falling off me I looked like I was wearing my mum's clothes as a child. Trying not to buy too much though as I still have more I want to lose so seems pointless.

Looks like a really yummy lunch Tea I normally have between 200-300 cals for lunch and around 600 for dinner so that looks about right to me.

teaping · 17/01/2017 14:27

Oooo nothing better than going on a shopping trip because you're too skinny for your clothes hairspray!

Thank you quim queen and BOOP! Im wfh today meaning I can have a slightly more interesting lunch than the usual salad box.

I don't really have a calorie target quim, was just trying to low carb. That's probably where I'm going wrong....

KikisDeliveryService · 17/01/2017 16:03

Checking in. I am sick so no effort being made towards fitness or eating goals, just trying to get through the day at the moment.

Chardonnay73 · 17/01/2017 16:50

Hello from my sick bed waves weakly
Have horrible virus that has floored me for the last day or so. On the upside have only eaten soup yesterday so a fast day effectively!
I thought you would be interested in a little experiment I did today;
I weighed and had lost 1.5lb. I had an egg white omelette and a glass of water and weighed again - in 20 mins I had put on 2lbs!!!! So I really am going to try to just weigh weekly, the daily fluctuation is just ridiculous and demoralising!
It's made me feel so much better, that in 20 mins after eating virtually nothing a drinking water, I can magically 'put on' 2lbs !! Looks at Boop sternly and returns the motivational chat Wine

BitOutOfPractice · 17/01/2017 17:43

So you're the mentor now eh? Grin

I weighed at the gym today and I seem to have gained a pound. Very demoralising though Chard gave me a pep talk. I don't think I deserved it though (the gain not the pep talk).

I am currently waiting for DD2 to cone out of her ukelele lesson. I never thought I'd type that sentence

Ok accidentally raided the work snacks a few too many times Blush

But have a small dinner today and I'm going for a 6 mile run!!!

Squiffy01 · 17/01/2017 19:01

boop well done that's brilliant work!

Couldn't resist the cake today... It would blood delicious as well! I always tend to go off track when I know I'm going off track anyway (out to dinner tonight) and again on Sunday and possibly Saturday so not going to be a great week but I am going to try and be good in between those times and hope for the best come weigh in day.

ponygirlcurtis · 17/01/2017 21:24

Evening - I have started my period and feel really bleugh and bloated, won't be weighing now until this is over plus a few days extra. Hoping to get a big walk or even a small run in at the weekend.

BOOP ukelele is a thing now, your daughter is cooooool. Smile

Hope you feel better soon Chardonnay.

BitOutOfPractice · 17/01/2017 21:33

She's a big 21 Pilots fan and they use ukeleles all the time. She's practising herself at home but we thought a few lessons would help her technique.

I'm feeling restless. In need of wine snacks. I must resist

2 things . . .

Thing 1 - I wish all our posts were different colours so we could easily follow who's posted what. (Rather than just BOOP and for me my posts are purple).

Thing 2 - Did you know when you loose weight you breathe the excess weight out - rather than (as I thought) poo it out! Due to chemical reactions in your body the fat converts to Carbon Dioxide and Water - interesting article here.

QuimReaper · 17/01/2017 22:35

Sorry to hear there's so much sickness on the thread at the moment, hope you feel better soon Chard and Kiki Brew

I am in awe of your resolve BOOP, the longest I've gone without booze in living memory is just under two weeks Blush

Golden day here, at bloody last. Clocked over 14,000 steps, went for a swim and had a fairly successful fast. I say "fairly" successful because making pasta salad for DH proved too much for my resolve and I may have scarfed a few pieces of pesto-y penne...

QuimReaper · 17/01/2017 22:36

Archie I knew that peeing it out was a thing but not breathing it out! Amazing!

Squiffy01 · 17/01/2017 22:52

Do you think if we breathe really fast we can lose more Grin

On my way home from dinner and I feel so ill. Had a chicken burrito and some cheese cake for pudding. I'm taking it as a good sign considering I would normally eat that and finish and feel fine.
Wasn't even worth the calories Sad

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 17/01/2017 23:10

Who knew that you have to breathe it out! Makes me feel better about panting like a train walking uphill today.

QuimReaper · 17/01/2017 23:15

Squiffy I was grumpy about my wasted calories on Monday too. I didn't enjoy the evening much, and as much as I enjoyed my pudding and wine I was annoyed about them afterwards, and would've have preferred to given the whole thing a skip.

HairsprayBabe · 18/01/2017 08:06

I knew about peeing it out, i suppose breathing it out makes sense too if you think about ketosis, hence funny smelling breath.

12.3 this morning -4 for the month so far, I am really getting into a bad habit of good in the week and then ruining it at the weekends that I need to stop ASAP. I haven't had a golden weekend in forever and I think that is what it holding me back, I end up just maintaining between 12.5 and 12.1 which is pointless!

lastqueenofscotland · 18/01/2017 08:09

3 day of remaining the same Angry

But I feel so much slimmer if that counts for anything?!
