Happy New Year Slenderistas.

Let's move away from the Christmas bugger and ditch Linda for good.

Well done Laury and Binary!

I am also starving, I am having a well-needed fast day today. I unfortunately went a little bit off-piste at the weekend. Saturday night's quiet drinks with some friends escalated and I spent all of yesterday eating whatever beige food I could get my hands on in an attempt to shake my hangover. Urgh.

QuimReaper · 16/01/2017 12:36

I think you're a bloody hero for Spinning on a Monday morning anyway BOOP, and as for resisting the Prosecco in the fridge, you get a true gold star! What kind of 17yr olds have house parties where they not only drink Prosecco, but don't even finish it? And are articulate at midnight? Kids these days!

Kiki I don't wear the same outfit to weigh in every week, but I am usually wearing a dress, so I take off my boots, coat, scarf, cardi, etc. and I think what I'm left with is probably usually about the same, or just a negligible difference.

Not a good week coming up for me - out for dinner with DH tonight and have plans on Thurs, so only two golden opportunities! I was weirdly irritated with DH for roping me into tonight and robbing me of a golden day, I think I'm getting a bit obsessed Confused

QuimReaper · 16/01/2017 12:40

Well done to everyone who's had fantastic losses, amazing work!

Glad my weighted hoop is starting a trend! Take it easy at first Arsey, if you've got a nobbly one like mine you can really feel it the next day. I chuckled at your being electrocuted Grin

ArseyTussle · 16/01/2017 12:59

No nobbles, thanks Quim. I've now worked out I'm better at side to side than front to back, and have kept it going for about 30 secs, go me.

Feeling a little overwhelmed by the food situation, after the boost of losing 3.5 lb in the first week I'm disappointed at a small gain. I wish it were as simple as just upping the exercise. Pah.

whowantsadog · 16/01/2017 13:15

Morning! Thanks to you lovely lot I started the Blood Sugar Diet on Saturday. Just over 48 hours in and I've lost just under 3lbs (while eating avocados which has made my year!) already.

I felt spacey as hell all weekend and had a huge headache but just feel a bit hungry today. And also hugely optimistic that I can do this, which I haven't felt in years. Grin

Here's to a great week all round. Flowers

HairsprayBabe · 16/01/2017 13:27

Congrats who that is probably just carb flu/sugar withdrawal it passes in a few days then you forget about carbs entirely promise...

BitOutOfPractice · 16/01/2017 13:29

Oh whowants that's brilliant! This is a brilliant thread - so friendly and supportive and full of people just doing their best

HairsprayBabe · 16/01/2017 13:34

Oh also I was good and didn't gorge at lunch time, went shopping about new makeup that I don't need Grin

lastqueenofscotland · 16/01/2017 14:20

Hairspray there nothing wrong with that!

managed to avoid the sirens call of the vending machine and enjoyed my lunch and feel satisfied

I think a big thing for me has been learning that you don't need to be stuffed to stop eating.

QuimReaper · 16/01/2017 14:26

Well done whowants, what a great start! The spaciness / headache is you passing into ketosis I think, do you also feel unnaturally thirsty / dry-mouthed? In any case it'll pass, and that's when your appetite goes and takes carb cravings with it, it's ace.

I think I would go non-nobbly next time Arsey, they stay up easier but they can be a bit painful - they're supposed to have a sort of "massaging" effect to help keep your muscles from getting tight, but I just end up feeling a bit battered.

QuimReaper · 16/01/2017 14:44

Oh and meant to say Legend half a kilo is only 1.1 Lindas, not 2!

Squiffy01 · 16/01/2017 15:37

Ahhhhh attempting to resist the chocolate cake that is on the table downstairs! I think I've done great to resist it for three hours but God I want some!

BitOutOfPractice · 16/01/2017 18:04

Did you resist squiffy?

I've just had to neck s banana. I'm so blummin hungry today

Pinkvici22 · 16/01/2017 18:13

I'm really hungry too....ate some of DD's angel cake earlier 😡

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 16/01/2017 19:02

Fast day, and I went for a walk at lunchtime in slightly heeled boots and have massive blisters on the balls of my feet now. Ouch. Note to self: take trainers for tomorrow! I'm on 8700 steps - I really walk a pitifully tiny amount in my day to day life! I had no idea I was so sedentary! I can't go out now for a walk because it is pitch black outside - I live on a B road with no street lights and the farmer meanly ploughed up the track into his field so I can't walk there either. I'll have to walk around the house.

0.75 lb back up this morning, but immediately after the weekend is never my thinnest point.

Somanyillustrations · 16/01/2017 19:25

Another 1.5lb off this week, so 5.5lb since Jan 1st. Wasn't expecting a loss at all this week as I've eaten good meals, but then shovelled toast and chocolate into my face too Blush

Need to properly stuck to plan this week now, could do with losing 3lb this week to get me back under 10st...

lastqueenofscotland · 16/01/2017 19:33

Done pretty much the best I've ever done on the eating front today! Not so good on the exercise front - planned 7 mile run but only had time for two. Angry

Squiffy01 · 16/01/2017 19:53

boop I was so good! I cut the girls of a teeny tiny piece for after dinner but one didn't finish her fruit so I got her bit, literally two bites. So proud of myself. Still half left though, hoping I can be as good tomorrow.

BitOutOfPractice · 16/01/2017 20:24

Well done that woman!

I'm assuming you're a woman squiffy. I guess I'm assuming that of all of you

OP posts:
Archduke · 16/01/2017 20:54

I'm a woman BOOP - I made the same assumption tbh.

Well done on all the losses, and resisting Cake

I had a good day yesterday, salad, salad, salad and then salad. I also did my c25k which was haaaard. The kids have taken to giving me their fitbits to wear on my runs - I think they're over the whole get-outside-and-exercise thing.

PurpleDaisies · 16/01/2017 21:29

I've had a really good day for eating today...made a big vat of spinach and coconut daal, slimming world sweet potato and onion bhajis and cucumber and mint raita with boiled egg and a small portion of rice. It was bloody nice too. The sort of bonus is I've burnt my tongue so don't eating anything else!

Do you reckon grating sweet potato counts as proper exercise?

lastqueenofscotland · 16/01/2017 22:28

Purple daisies it definitely does Grin

Pinkvici22 · 17/01/2017 07:35

Morning all

Fast day for me today. Scrambled eggs and tomatoes for breakfast, no lunch, tomato and basil soup for dinner. I'll take a pear to work in case I'm struggling!

I did plan to get up and go for a jog this morning but that didn't happen - I'll try to get out later.

Archduke · 17/01/2017 07:48

Hi all, still school holidays here and I feel like I'm heading for a nervous breakdown. The kids had a grind over for the day, a more ungrateful child I am yet to meet.

Honestly these children (including my eldest here) are driving me to a rage. I'm not working at the moment so all my time is as a sahm and it's really giving me the shits. Also it's now 6.30pm and 38 degrees. I want to cry and eat my body weight in chocolate

Archduke · 17/01/2017 07:49
