6lbs in 2 weeks is fab Chard. Very well done.

Archie it's taken me since June. With a few blips along the way. Two weeks in Florida posed quite a problem for instance. But I've steadily gone at it.

I have bought some new clothes but I've also recycled clothes that used to fit me which has been a revelation Smile

Hello all! 12.3 this morning so -4 lindas for the month so far, feeling positive about getting -7 for the month now (maybe more Wink )

Who My secret is I have a tapeworm.... Grin
All jokes aside: I do the blood sugar diet. It is pretty hard core but the results are so good it keeps me very motivated. Low carb - but not carb counting - and low calorie, i tend to keep mine between 1000-800 cals a day. you should also be as active as possible, 10k steps a day and strength exercise x2 a week. I clock between 7-10K steps a day go rock climbing once a week and salsa every other week.

If I am doing properly, I can lose up to 7lbs in a week but more often than not I have weekend treats that slow down my losses. I have lost over 3st since the start of September, and I basically had December off!

Climbing was very very good did my first ever 4+ climb! The center has walls from level 2 to 8 so I am really cracking on with the more intermediate stuff now! Arm are sore this morning, legs are ok though I might do a squat challenge next week...

BusterTheBulldog · 13/01/2017 09:24

Never thought about adding food to Mfp in advance-thats a great idea!

Down another 2lindas this week-4 in total for Jan! Next loss will take me under 11stone-will be a big boost to get past that.

ArseyTussle · 13/01/2017 09:39

Blasted through 3k running this morning like a fat Paula Radcliffe (Porky Radcliffe?). Feeling on top
of it, and hopefully having DP at home today means we can support each other in keeping biscuits from the house.

I'm realising since doing fewer hours since Christmas just what a trigger for eating being bored is, and also sitting at a computer.

cdhusband · 13/01/2017 10:35

wow..squiffy , you are a true step queen. Yesterdays total for me was nearer five thousand as it was blowing a gale and snowing when I got home so no walk for me last night

A l;ittle disheartened this morning, will try to get to gym this afternoon

TheLegendOfBeans · 13/01/2017 10:36

Hello chaps! Just sticking he's up to say congrats on all awesome Linda removals and I'm gearing up for a weekend of gluttony followed by Calvinistic control and I just want to get to 70kg or less by wedding day in a fortnight.

I can do it.

I can.

TheLegendOfBeans · 13/01/2017 10:42

*head

Not "he's" ffs

BeyondTheStarryNight · 13/01/2017 10:47

Dammit, I forgot to weigh again!!

Had a bottle of red wine last night, but it was the low cal one at least :)
50 days til holiday...

BitOutOfPractice · 13/01/2017 10:49

I just chuckled out loud at Porky Radcliffe Grin

lastqueenofscotland · 13/01/2017 11:39

I had a right giggle at porky Radcliffe though I'd make sure you don't go as far as shitting in the street...

I forgot to weigh today... Doh but I'm too busy at work to dream of food so that's a good thing!

ArseyTussle · 13/01/2017 11:53

Listen, if dropping one on the pavement would help with a weigh in I'm happy to go for it. Grin

I've lost track of how much weight people here are hoping to lose. My target is a 5 stone loss, will I be screaming into the abyss on my own come February?

HairsprayBabe · 13/01/2017 12:02

I want to lose another 2st to stick me mid "healthy weight" that will have given me a total loss of just over 5st.

I hope hope hope that I don't slow down too much towards the end as it would be very demoralising, but I am expecting to reach my goal, in theory by March or April depending on how well I manage to stick to it.

If I am not happy at 10.3 then I will look into more weighty toning stuff.

BitOutOfPractice · 13/01/2017 12:08

I'd like to lose another 1.5 stone taking me to 4.5 stone loss. So you will most definitely not be alive in Feb Archie

In fact, the bf is already working on February's thread tithe

Morning! I love this thread, you're all so supportive! Plus the losses on here are inspiring. Grin

Ok, positive pants on, I've got an action plan:

*A few of you have recommended the Blood Sugar diet; I love Michael Mosley and the fact that what he does is based on science and not crank theories, and after looking on the website I've ordered the book, should get it tomorrow.

*Bugger slimming world, I think I clearly need to change things around so am going to call time on that for now, rather than spend £20 a month to tread water. I think 800 cals a day for 8 weeks should be do-able and hopefully should work fairly quickly. I'll weigh myself tomorrow, track on MFP and check in here weekly.

*8 weeks me almost up to my holiday, 16lbs off in that time is only 2lbs a week and should be totally do-able on 800 cals a day?

Thanks everyone for helping me get a plan together - have a good weekend... Grin

QuimReaper · 13/01/2017 12:45

you will most definitely not be alive in Feb Archie

Shock Shock

QuimReaper · 13/01/2017 12:47

Love "positive pants" whowants and you sound absolutely full of resolve, wahey for ditching Slimming World! Grin

The BSD, from what I've heard, will get easier as it goes along, so do keep coming on here and screaming obscenities in the first few days to help you from cracking. We'll hold your hand!

HairsprayBabe · 13/01/2017 12:47

Jesus thats a threat if I ever saw one! Grin

QuimReaper · 13/01/2017 12:48

(Also, if you haven't already, you may want to have a squizz at the BSD thread where I believe there are tons of great recipes etc., and we'll even permit you to post there as long as you continue to post here also Wink )

TVHubbyClaire · 13/01/2017 12:52

No snow showers forecast for tonight so definitely need to go for -run- walk or get to the gym

11lbs wont lose themselves but my god Ive achieved little this week

QuimReaper · 13/01/2017 12:52

For those of you asking about weighted hoops, they're ace! Mine is composed of about eight bits which click together and click apart again so it's great for transport, and storage. In summer I got pretty good at nipping out into the garden and hula-ing in the sunshine with a podcast in my ears, it's easy enough once you get into the swing of it but supposedly a great cardio workout. I like it because I can do that in summer, and in winter as long as I can find a spot with a decent circumference, I can do it in front of the television instead of just vegging out, and a 20 min session can go really quickly.

I only did about 10-15 mins last night I think, because I know from experience that it can leave you feeling very sore around the waist if you overdo it, and that makes it very difficult / impossible to hula again until it heals (because obviously the hoop hits all the same spots).

Apparently the lighter hoops can give an even better workout if you're really good, but I prefer to just slog away without really concentrating, so the weighted one seems better for me.

QuimReaper · 13/01/2017 12:55

Can I also please report a NSV?

I'M IN THE RED DRESS!

I doubt many of you remember, but this was a mystery dress which I last wore in 2014, and which has refused to fit me aaaaaaall the way down the scales. This was a depressing mystery because I last wore it in 2014 according to FB, and I am absolutely sure I must have been heavier then than I have been in the past couple of months, but it just strained over my belly and hips and looked awkward, so I was all down about the fact that I had lost weight but not regained my shape, and worried my shape had gone forever.

BUT I JUST TRIED IT ON AND IT FINALLY WORKS!!!!!

So even if the scales don't reward me in a bit, I declare the tape measure has Grin

QuimReaper · 13/01/2017 12:56

Sorry for repeating myself on the 2014 thing, I am clearly too over-excited to make sense.

TVHubbyClaire · 13/01/2017 13:05

Can I please ask what a "Linda" is....apologies for being a bit slow....

ArseyTussle · 13/01/2017 13:09

And what's an NSV?

Hmm, may have to get a hoop. Did it help you tone up?
