Happy New Year Slenderistas.

Let's move away from the Christmas bugger and ditch Linda for good.

We can hope boa! If I have a stong craving for junk food I try and remove myself from temptation, go for a walk, drink something hot, clean something gross, take a shower?

I am meal planning for next week atm so far I have

M - Butternut Squash Tart, tomato salsa
T - Beetroot Falafel and salad Hummus and Halloumi
W - Courgetti Thai noodle soup
T - Chilli bowl
F - Tuna fish cakes, white sauce, veggies
S - eating out
S - cheese board

I never eat breakfast really and I have yogurt and berries for lunch basically every day.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 06/01/2017 13:04

Don't be beat yourself up too hard boa, these things happen and as long as it's only occasional it shouldn't affect the weight loss too much.

Hairspray those meals sound really nice! Do you buy the beetroot falafel or make it?

HairsprayBabe · 06/01/2017 13:33

Beetroot falafel is out of the BSD official book, I haven't had them yet but apparently they are hugely filling and really yummy, best thing in the book, but will make your kitchen look like a murder scene!

I can't seem to find the recipe online but I will post it later when I am home and have the book to hand!

I make all my carby extras e.g. pastry for the tart and the crackers from chick pea flour and I make the fish cakes with butter bean mash instead of spuds.

BusterTheBulldog · 06/01/2017 13:34

Terrible incident with some ferrero rocher just now. I did do a 7am gym class though so telling myself it'll be ok!! AngrySad

BitOutOfPractice · 06/01/2017 13:46

I neeeeeeeed beetroot falafel. Two of my favourite things in the world

I've meal planned!
Tonight : I'm at birthday drinks so I will try to avoid drunk takeaway!!
Tomorrow: homemade bean burgers and chips
Sunday: White bean salad
Monday: Mexican lentil stew
Tuesday: stir fry with veg and nuts
Wednesday: at a drinks and nibbles thing. Must exercise self control
Thursday: cannelini bean bolognese.

Trying to keep it light as went out for dinner yesterday and will be today too Confused

ponygirlcurtis · 06/01/2017 14:04

Oh that sounds really good Hairspray. I like the idea of butter bean mash too.

Just had a lovely chicken omelette for lunch, planning beef stroganoff for dinner. Tomorrow I am child-free and planning a gym session or a walk, time depending. If I want to lose the weight I really am going to have to ditch the booze, I think that's what was blocking me before (even though I had a weekly calorie deficit). I am only 9lbs off my goal weight atm (although would love to lose more after that), and I could do that in a couple of months.

Did you see our thread made the Trending board? Yaaaay for us! Star

BeyondTheStarryNight · 06/01/2017 14:33

Having a tin of chicken soup for my late lunch, not great but quick :)

Had some colouring done on my Phoenix...

Queen That sounds so good, especially the mexican lentil stew. I take it you don't eat meat either? I am 90% veggie and have fish about once a month, not a big fan but DP loves it so I make allowances! His father has just been diagnosed Type II diabetic so he is trying to cut down his refined carbs at the moment.

The butter bean mash is really good, can be on the dry side so needs sauce or some butter or cream cheese in it to make it moist. If you are LCHF it's fine but if you are calorie counting probably not ideal!

BitOutOfPractice · 06/01/2017 14:45

Just weighed in at the gym. 2.5 Lindas gone. That's a whole half stone since 1 Jan. I am now back at my lowest ever weight from Christmas Eve.

I am thrilled. 2 more pounds till I am the magic 11 something. And just 11lbs till I have a healthy BMI.

Really really pleased with myself.

Well done BOOP! Are you also 5ft5ish? I feel we may be in the same boat!

BitOutOfPractice · 06/01/2017 14:56

I'm 5' 6.5 7" and my goal has always been 11 stone 5 to give me a BMI of 24.9. Then I want to see how much further I want to go. 10 stone something?

I am currently 12 stone 1.5

QuimReaper · 06/01/2017 14:59

Oh my GOD BOOP, half a stone in 6 days?! That is astounding!

I have just weighed aaaaaaaand...

I'VE DONE IT! I'M AT MY WEDDING GOAL WEIGHT!

My wedding was 5 months ago, but that's neither here nor there Grin

I was so sure I was going to be where I was last time I weighed in mid-Dec as an absolute best-case scenario! Y'all were right!

QuimReaper · 06/01/2017 15:01

Hairspray and lastqueen your meal plans look superb, very inspiring. It would be marvellous if people fancied posting their delicious looking foodspiration every week...

BitOutOfPractice · 06/01/2017 15:06

Oh SlimQuim that is bloody marvellous. Well done that woman! GrinStarHalo

By the way I realise it's going to slow down now. Most of the weight was bloat and pre period meh-ness.

OP posts:
QuimReaper · 06/01/2017 15:41

Thank you Grin

I've actually only lost 300-odd grams since my last weigh-in, but it's symbolic an all Grin

It will slow down for sure, but it's so nice to know that overindulgences can be pretty swiftly corrected. The evidence is everywhere on this thread!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 06/01/2017 16:30

Well done Quim and Boop!

I am also really enjoying the meal plans on here, I'm going to sort mine out in a bit so I can do a big shop tomorrow. Will come back and post it!

TheLegendOfBeans · 06/01/2017 16:46

Wowzers, Quim BOOP smashing it!!!

Illustration your steak dinner has inspired me. I'm having steak with roast baby carrots, sweet potato, asparagus and sugar snaps.

Friday night dinner 😋

Also did 17k steps today so HOLY HOLY

BitOutOfPractice · 06/01/2017 16:56

Legend your halo is blinding me!

We are having home made chicken jalfrezi. It's a Hairy Dieters recipe that tastes better than take away. And best of all, the BF is cooking it and he's an amazing cook. All good.

Everyone's on fire today! Amazing stuff slenderistas! I'm always certain my body burns off far more quickly after feasting, almost as if it's become so blase about the amount coming in that it carries on processing everything at speed without noticing the massive reduction of calories going in. It sounds like everyone is enjoying that effect at the moment. It's why I like 5:2 with relaxed weekends.

QuimReaper · 06/01/2017 17:12

I've had a big refeed on a hot dog, shovelled in a load of those amazing Galaxy Golden Eggs (so pleased Easter starts on January 1st these days) and about to have wine and brie. No Friday halo here Grin

KikisDeliveryService · 06/01/2017 17:13

That phoenix is looking lush beyond.

BitOutOfPractice · 06/01/2017 17:17

Quim stop!!! Confused
