Anyone looking to lose 100lbs plus in 2017?

Just that really. I promise myself every year that I'm going to do it then I'm sat here every fucking year still not having done it.

I think I probably need to lose around 150lbs tbh but I thought it might be helpful to have a 100lbs plus thread for anyone in a similar boat to me.

How are you planning on doing it? I am restarting Weight Watchers (at home on the app), clean-ish eating and setting myself a daily step goal. Am also moving house in January/February which helps (in my mind) with the fresh start ethos.

Thanks ladies it's really boosted my motivation, I'm in the 17st range for the first time in years. This thread helps me so much, I had been doing it by myself for three months and you all have helped spur me on, so thank youSmile

Hurray to all the losers ! Commiserations to those that haven't lost what hoped for but a loss is a loss and adds a bit more to what is already gone. There will be weeks when things go pear shaped and sometimes we're going to gain for what will seem like no good reason, but we have to carry on till this is done and dusted -remember Endurance

I'm off to GP this week to get my referral to the consultant for my gallbladder as have lost enough weight for it now.

NorfolkEnchance · 21/01/2017 18:53

Well done everyone. I've lost a grand total of fuck all this week. I've eaten everything in bloody sight. Must do better this week!

HairsprayQueen · 21/01/2017 21:52

This week is our week norfolk we can do it!

Laselva · 22/01/2017 07:48

To lose - 100lb
Loss to date - 10lb
Loss this week - 3lb
Left to lose - 90lb

End of week 3 for me and a surprising loss. I went on the scales yesterday and hadn't lost anything, so was surprised to be 3lb down this morning.
My main reason for starting yet another diet was at 42 I'd started to notice aches and pains creeping in. I was waking up each morning in December with back ache and a finger and toe had started to get swollen and achy. Pleased to say that all those aches have gone.

DoubleGin · 22/01/2017 09:20

Hellooo guys forgot to drop by yesterday but I'm happy with my loss !

To lose -117
Lost to date 1.5 lbs
Lost this week 1.5 lbs
Left to lose 115.5

Lowdoorinthewal1 · 23/01/2017 06:53

Well done everybody with losses, and for those keeping going despite stubborn scales!

I have lost 2.5lb this week which takes me over my first stone. Pretty happy with that in the first month. Nest mini-goal is to get into the next 'stone zone'. Grin

Happy Monday all.

Put on 2lb. Completely expected, completely annoying but onwards to this week.

To lose- 100lbs
Lost so far- put on 2lbs
Lost this week- put on 2
Still to lose- 102lbs Blush

MirabelleTree · 23/01/2017 11:04

Well done HairsprayQueen. Would have been easy not to weigh and just carry on. At least you're facing up to it and moving forward.

Rumtopf · 23/01/2017 12:46

Actually weighing and then deciding to do something about it is great Hairspray, onwards and up(down?!)wards!

I'm starting to notice a big difference in my appetite, meals that I would have eaten all of before I can now only manage about half of, I feel that I'm really getting in touch with my hunger.

honeysucklejasmine · 23/01/2017 17:14

My brother came to visit today. He knows I am on a diet and commented that my face looked thinner. Guess that's good!

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 23/01/2017 18:22

That's fab honey!

I've had an ok weekend, lots to get done this week so just a case of getting stuck in and getting on with it Smile

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 23/01/2017 20:33

Hi all, well done everyone.

I lost 1 1/4lb this week, really pleased with that, I've mentioned before that I tend to have a bad week on my second week generally, so it's a really good result for me.

Total to lose 101 lb
Lost this week 1 1/4 lb
Lost so far 9 3/4 lb
Still to lose 91 1/4 lb

Notanurse, you're averaging over 2lbs a week which is really good - there's no falling off the wagon, just a wee bump in the road.
Yes, I'm being irritatingly positive!
Cutting out alcohol makes a big difference as it's just sugar! Although my dh has been arguing the benefits of a small glass of red wine for the polyphenols in it.

Today I want to Eat. All. The. Things! I ended up in the gym twice yesterday (I went in the morning and then dh was going in the evening so I went again to keep him company?!) and I'm bloody ravenous today.

MirabelleTree · 24/01/2017 08:46

I'm back to also be irritatingly positive. Notanurse you have lost a pound more than I had be end of week 3.

Now I'm on week 11 and am at 24.5lbs it doesn't seem too bad and hoping that by Friday i'll be at 25lbs which is a quarter of the way there.

Currently at GP's with my fingers crossed i'm going to have lost enough for a Consultant referral.

HairsprayQueen · 24/01/2017 09:01

Good luck Mirabelle Smile

BreakingSad · 24/01/2017 10:08

Good luck Mirabelle

Notanurse, I eat differently at the weekend than during the week, something I know I'll have to sort out, as it doesn't work for me either. But I enjoy my wine and bread at the weekend Grin

Rum twice in one day, I'm not surprised you're ravenous.

Me, I'm tired today so have not done my usual cycling. Could quite easily eat all the wrong choices, but trying not to think about it.

Rumtopf · 24/01/2017 12:00

Good luck Mirabelle!
A quarter of the way there sounds amazing, well done you!

I've just tried making some no carb banana pancakes - literally a mashed banana and two eggs beaten together and dropped onto a hot skillet, delicious!

Breakingsad, hope you've got lots of health yummy things to snack on. Do you cycle outside or have an exercise bike?

MirabelleTree · 24/01/2017 12:18

Thank you all, it went well and he is pleased with how I've done. Got my referral and the appointment is pretty quick so am very pleased.

Anyone feeling their weight loss is a bit slow take heart from the fact you're less likely to get gallstones which are bloody painful!

BreakingSad · 24/01/2017 13:03

Rum I've got an exercise bike, but I would like to head out when the warmer weather comes, but do get put off as I live in a very hilly area.
I have heathy snacks to hand and do feel better now, so easy to let things slip.

BreakingSad · 24/01/2017 13:05

That's great news Mirabelle

HairsprayQueen · 24/01/2017 13:55

A very slight nsv here (but I'm taking inspiration wherever I can get it!), its bin day here and I looked in the glass recycling box and there were only 2 bottles in there- 1 small beer one and 1 wine. That's such a huge improvement for me, I felt really proud (although quite aware that this is still a lot of alcohol for lots of people).

Losing those empty calories has got to help!

honeysucklejasmine · 24/01/2017 16:47

I am away this weekend. Pub lunch on Friday followed by a dinner party Friday evening, and probably similar sort of fayre on Saturday and Sunday. Eek. Going to weigh in on Friday instead and try to limit myself a bit. Yes, I will eat cheese. I will attempt not to eat my weight in cheese.
