Anyone looking to lose 100lbs plus in 2017?

TaliDiNozzo · 27/12/2016 11:31

Just that really. I promise myself every year that I'm going to do it then I'm sat here every fucking year still not having done it.

I think I probably need to lose around 150lbs tbh but I thought it might be helpful to have a 100lbs plus thread for anyone in a similar boat to me.

How are you planning on doing it? I am restarting Weight Watchers (at home on the app), clean-ish eating and setting myself a daily step goal. Am also moving house in January/February which helps (in my mind) with the fresh start ethos.

Hi All

Medway and Mirabelle well done on your weight loss!

Lum you were brave. That's the last time a photo of your will look like that.

Sporn and think, this time next year you'll be proudly smiling directly in to the camera with your family!

Weigh day for me tomorrow. Fourth SP day done, but also came on my period today (booo, I'm ttc) so prob won't have lost much. Sad

eatingtomuch · 06/01/2017 22:44

Was doing great and then opened a pack of biscuits. I've eaten most of them 😩. Very cross with myself because was having a good week. Plan to draw a line and start again tomorrow.

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 06/01/2017 23:47

eatingtoomuch I had the same earlier with some leftover Xmas chocolates that dp had hidden Blush

SpornStar · 07/01/2017 07:55

Don't beat yourselves up about the biscuit/chocolate slip. You won't have done enough damage to undo the good you've already done.

I had another really good day yesterday - despite ending up having to grab a quick lunch from the only place available - Greggs - while rushing between meetings as I didn't have time to pop back to the office for the salad I'd prepared for lunch. Bypassing the sausage rolls and donuts was a huge test of my willpower but I opted for a tuna roll at a very reasonable 388 calories. They actually have several sandwich options which are less than 400 calories and tasty is still have preferred a sausage roll and a donut though

SpornStar · 07/01/2017 08:08

I'm worried about today as weekends are usually my diet downfall.

MFP says I can have 2020 calories a day to lose 2lb per week and I've been sticking to 1700 so far to try to boost this initial weight loss to keep me motivated to keep going. So maybe I can use those extra calories for a small treat later like a glass of wine or a gin.

And thanks honeysuckle...that's a nice thought. We've a big holiday planned for this summer and I'm hoping to be a little more confident in myself by then 😊

DoubleGin · 07/01/2017 08:16

Disappointed at the scales today. Only 1/2 llb off. Although I think AF is on its way !

Name: Gin
Ages: 25
To lose: 117 llbs
Lost to date: 3/4 of a llb
Left to lose: 116 1/4 lbs
Lost today: 1/2 a llb

FizzPopping · 07/01/2017 08:20

I've weighed in for first time so here are my stats

Name: Fizzpopping
To lose- 100 lbs
Loss to date - 10lbs (what I've kept off from last years loss)
Left to lose- 90 lbs
Loss this week- 0 (first weigh in)

Off to an exercise class, dreading it a bit as I know I'll really struggle but just need to do what I can until I get some level of fitness back. Should help me focus more on healthy eating too.

Happy weekend everyone!

MirabelleTree · 07/01/2017 08:49

Welcome Fizzpopping and well done for keeping the 10lbs off.

It is really disappointing when you get a small loss the first week DoubleGin and not ,uch consolation to know that it might have been a period induced gain if you hadn't have tried so hard last week. Your body will catch up with your efforts though . Maybe if you could think of it as a health improving week with a weight loss as a side benefit. Just looked to see what 3/4 lb a week for a year is and it's nearly 3 stone so not trivial.

honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2017 09:13

Name: Honey
Age: 30
To lose: 104 3/4lbs
Lost to date: 22 3/4lbs
Left to lose: 82 lbs
Lost this week: 2lb

I'm really pleased! Was quite far off plan earlier this week, on my period, but the SP days have made up for it. 😃

Rumtopf · 07/01/2017 09:29

I'm so chuffed, weighed this morning and have lost 5lb!! Still have horrid AF so some of that was water loss but it's great to see.

To lose: 104 lbs
Lost to date: 5 lb
Left to lose: 99 lb
Lost this week: 5 lb.

Yay!

SixtyDegreesNorth · 07/01/2017 10:06

Apparently I have lost 2st 6lb in 3 days. I think I need to buy new scales. Really annoyed as they are very good ones.

I tried them on the rubber mat next to the treadmill and it said I weighed just 108lb 😆

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 07/01/2017 10:39

Sixty Grin - that is impressive!

I've lost 2lbs - which is about right for me, so I'm happy.

To lose: 124 lbs
Lost to date: 14 lbs
Left to lose: 110 lbs
Lost this week: 2lbs

FizzPopping · 07/01/2017 11:34

Well done NoTractors that's great you've got a stone off!

Sixty that is some result Grin

honeysucklejasmine · 07/01/2017 11:42

Wow Rum, down in to double digits remaining already!

Well done everyone, losses big and small are still losses and will all add up. Smile

BreakingSad · 07/01/2017 11:51

I'm happy with that, feels like I'm getting back on track.

To lose: 113 lbs
Lost to date: 25 lbs
Left to lose: 88 lbs
Lost this week: 2 lbs

SSSC · 07/01/2017 12:34

Wow! Well done on the losses all.

I'm not weighing till next friday and have to resist the urge to weigh every day.

sixty, my scales tell me I'm nearly 3 stone lighter in the bathroom than in the kitchen. Unfortunately the bastard kitchen is right.

SixtyDegreesNorth · 07/01/2017 13:18

Right. Have consulted with DH and found the most reliable floor in the house (extension on 100 year old cottage)

Age 47
Height 5'7
Start Weight 18st 5lb.

I appear to have lost 3lb this week but have not yet started officially. This was just with making healthier choices and drinking more water.

MirabelleTree · 07/01/2017 13:37

Brilliant, what a positive start ! I'm really grinning at SSSC's bastard kitchen and SixtyDegrees having to find a reliable floor.

Desperately need to go shopping this afternoon, beans on toast for lunch.

Lumberries · 07/01/2017 20:51

Hey guys.

After my photo revelation the other day I felt god awful and really really upset.

However, I didn't binge and I've been on track and fine all day today even though Saturdays are usually my downfall! Grin first time I've ever managed to have 3 proper meals and a Saturday and I did some important wedding stuff too :)

This week I've had a bad cold, AF has been in the building and I've had some anxiety hiccups (I'm a GAD sufferer and when I'm run down it flares up) but so far, I've stuck to the plan and have a blue dot for every day so far!

Blue dot: on the weight watchers app, if you are within -3/+10 of your daily points allowance it gives you a blue dot on your calendar, it's actually pretty motivating!

I'm proud of myself tonight :)

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 07/01/2017 21:12

I need to catch up on the thread, sorry not personal replies.
First weigh-in mon but I haven't been as good as I should, I will eat strictly next week and write everything down.
Just made SW chips and Chilli that was lushhhhh Grin
DP has bought me prosecco, chocolates and birthday cake for Monday, will have to turn them down 😭SadCakeWine

eatingtomuch · 08/01/2017 08:00

Name; eating
Height. 5ft 7inches
Starting weight: 19st 3 1/2lbs
Loss: 3 1/2lb
Total loss: 3 1/2lbs

Please first week but not rigidly stuck to it due to new year and finishing off xmas stuff. Plan to continue to make good choices and try not to feel like I'm in a diet.

NorfolkEnchance · 08/01/2017 08:07

I am officially starting today. Just using MFP and attempting to stick to 1500 calories.

To Lose - 91lb (decided I'd like an extra half a stone off, brings me to middle of BMI scale rather than top)
Lost so far - 0lb
Left to lose - 91lb
Lost this week - 0lb

I'm sick of looking like this! Hopefully, this time, it will work...

Laselva · 08/01/2017 08:35

Morning all, just completed my first week and I'm 5lb lighter.

To lose - 100lb
Lost this week - 5lb
Total left to lose - 95lb
Total loss - 5lb

Still a long way to go, but a good start. My major achievement this week is that I haven't had a Diet Coke. I get majorly addicted to the stuff and I know it doesn't help me with weight loss (it really messes with my appetite and I haven't been feeling the urge for evening snacking since giving it up). Ready for week 2 now.
