For those with weight change. Just to show you how daft we all are. I weighed myself this morning, 7.4. Dehydrated from running last night for sure as it's hard to get enough water in without peeing all night. 2 pints of water, 7.6 Smile

Sugar Coast have some wonderful 'floaty' dresses that would flatter your shape and have an amazing sale at the minute.

I've done my PT session , which was brill and I enjoyed. Tons of arms and abs work. PT says my core strength has improved 10 fold. I know it has. He has me lift great big containers of water and huge weights!

Naturally he's busy at this time of year. He says there's a proportion of folk who are committed and will see it through, come whatever the circumstance, eat well and get the results they wanted.

Then there's a proportion that will come for a bit, miss a few sessions, come again, not follow the nutrition plan, often have excuses, then not get results and blame him ha ha Grin

That would cheese me off no end!

Anyway. I've had lots of water and a good breakfast.

Breakfast - Avo on toast, with some golden linseed.
Lunch - edamame bean salad, falafal, mango.
Dinner - Home made chicken korma.

Exercise - PT session, dog walk and Boxercise (if I do this).

I got my dress from phase 8 sugar, had been €200 down to €75 so pleased with that. I love their stuff, I like to think classy but maybe they're mumsy - feck it what do I care I am a mum! I love coast but run a big risk with the type of occasion this is of having the same dress as someone else, whereas I find phase 8 not as popular around my way. I have another do about 10 weeks after this one, there'll be only a couple of people there from both so might risk wearing it again - that's if it fits & suits. Might be dreadful on
Very dicky tum this morning, I'm losing weight as the day wears on...tmi

OP posts:
JontyDoggle37 · 12/01/2017 11:18

Not I buy all my work dresses from Phase 8 and always get lovely comments on them. I would go with stylish and classy as well 😁 If you'd said Hawksmoor or Jules Vert, we'd have to have a chat 😂
Incidentally, scales say I'm 0.25 of a pound down, which has me convinced they're broken after the last few days!!!

Sugarandsalt · 12/01/2017 11:47

Thanks all, floaty doesn't do much for me I'm afraid. I have a funny shape at the moment-28FF chest, 27inch waist but huge hips/thighs/bum. So I really need to highlight my waist but not draw attention To my enormous bottom half. I'm not especially fond of sleeveless either. I know I must look smaller than last year but can't see it and don't really know how to dress myself at the moment!

Have a very posh wedding in March, I'd love something really nice for it.

Jonty don't underestimate how many calories stress burns. And also you probably didn't eat as much as you think, even if what you had was high calorie.

Not2bObvious · 12/01/2017 12:33

sugar you're in my head as Jessica rabbit now😉 Having a bold lunch of chicken fillet sandwich & chips but I'm only eating half, saving half for tomorrow's lunch. I'm getting better at stopping eating when I think I'm full. I think my dodgy tum is also contributing to my small appetite today. Not the best choice but I had to get away for the computer after a long morning of deciphering bills & data entry. Sadly there appears to be a whole school of teenagers lunching here too and the overheard conversations are making me nervous...my bigger girl will be a teen later this year, I am NOT ready for this

OP posts:
Sugarandsalt · 12/01/2017 12:48

Haha I'm nothing like Jessica Rabbit, the boobs are droopy post baby/breastfeeding/weight loss and the bottom half is vast!

SesameSparkle · 12/01/2017 15:35

sugar I nearly commented on the thread you started on S&B, then decided not to as I thought someone much more stylish than me was bound to come to the rescue. John Lewis and HoF have really good occasionwear, although with much better selections online than in any of their stores. Brands like Ariella and Adrienne Papell are lovely, and you’d be less likely to find someone wearing the same dress. There are also some decent ones in Whistles right now – e.g. the Ailsa dress is very hourglass fitting (I’m an apple and couldn’t zip it up….), although there doesn’t seem to be much availability online anymore . The approach that eventually worked for me when I had a big wedding was to sort every dress on the JL website by price, order 5-6 dresses, collect next day in store, try on, return instantly, repeat…. The advantage of JL is you can hang on to your dress for a few months… before returning once you find a better/cheaper one ….

jonty pleased to hear your boy is now home! Smile Enjoy your egg!

need I’m in awe at your stepcount, I think my highest ever was around the 25,000 mark and that was for a whole day’s shopping

not Oi! Get your mitts out that tin of celebrations! Send them my way! Do we get a dress linky...?

Not2bObvious · 12/01/2017 16:18

Shocking carry on with the choccies sesame I know, I got my husband to hide them! Much better behaved today but as we all know it can change hour to hour😩

Lolimax · 12/01/2017 18:24

Omg how does anyone work from home and lose weight?? Been a nightmare today! At least the dogs had a long walk first thing and I'm off to spin in a bit.
Sugar have you seen Lindybop? I love their stuff (but have no boobs now).
Hope you're all nice and warm and the snow has left you alone.

Needastrongone · 12/01/2017 20:58

Hope you enjoy spin Loli.

I did end up going to Boxercise, as there wasn't really reason not to go, other than excuses. And as always, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Made a JO chicken jalfreizi for tea in the SC, super healthy and super delicious for circa 500 calories.

Also has 2 graze boxes today, just to add a few calories, I didn't really feel the need but they were tasty.

Kitchen closed on 1935, but 400 extra calories from exercise (conservative estimate), so under by 335.

Needastrongone · 12/01/2017 21:18

In the interests of sharing, this is the dress I have just bought from Coast...

www.coast-stores.com/p/lori-may-short-dress/1483676?locale=en

I'm working tomorrow, but will do the dog walk and plan an hours easy run too. We are planning to have a takeaway pizza, which I am excited about, as this is the first naughty thing we've had since NY. I will and so always go for vegetarian with a small sprinkling of cheese anyway. Smile

Sugarandsalt · 12/01/2017 21:33

Thanks everyone, I'm really grateful for all your suggestions. I shall update you if I ever find the dress! I'm more self conscious about my weight than before if that's possible. Sesame I feel like everything is designed for apple shaped people at the moment except whistles. I love whistles!

Loli I worked from home this afternoon too- I find it's best to have lots of fruit/veg cut up on a hungry day.

I'm shattered, bad nights sleep last night and had work to catch up on so just put the laptop away.

Stayed on my food plan- porridge for breakfast, left over curry for lunch- added some prawns today, an apple and bolognese with courgetti. 1150cals. Did a HIIT workout first thing and 16500 steps, many of which were trudged through the snow here.

Jonty I hope you and Jonty Jr are on the mend.

Sugarandsalt · 12/01/2017 21:34

Need that dress is beautiful, a lovely colour and shape.

Not2bObvious · 12/01/2017 21:35

Gorgeous dress need! I can't get a decent pic of mine, but I might share when it arrives😉

OP posts:
Needastrongone · 12/01/2017 21:51

Thank you. Please share yours Not.

Thank you Salt, I'm especially pleased with the price. Grin Great calorie total.

It's very true to size, I have no wiggle room to grow at all. Which is incentive enough I guess.

Lolimax · 12/01/2017 21:54

Need lush dress! And Not please share when you can?
I'm going to a beach wedding in Cyprus in the summer combining it (finally) with our honeymoon. Only 3 years late lol! Loosing my mum, my wonky brain then DH last year meant we've had to cancel 2. I'd like to wear a knock out dress (to show off to SIL) but I'll cross that bridge in the spring.
Spin was awesome. The sweat was pouring down my face such a sexy look on a red faced middle aged woman.
Early ish night and fingers crossed I can get to work tomorrow. If not bugger working from home I'll book leave and sleep!

SesameSparkle · 12/01/2017 22:11

need that dress is lovely and I think it would look especially nice on someone like you with slim, petite Kylie proportions. Smile

sugar now I've slimmed I've only just discovered become obsessed by whistles as there are a few things that work really well on my new straight up and down figure. I've bought a great bodycon work dress in a 10! and a coat this season. But I can't get any of their non stretch fitted stuff to zip up!

Sugarandsalt · 12/01/2017 22:17

Sesame isn't it funny how different places cater to different shapes. I can nearly always go down a size in whistles as they cut for wide hips and small waist. Most places I find everything swinging around my waist if I can get it over my thighs!

SesameSparkle · 12/01/2017 22:46

Well I have zero hips/bum now and think I must have tried every full length wool coat for sale in my town and all of them were too big on my hips, until I struck gold with the whistles one! That reminds me that hobbs were the worst offender - their size blocks seem to be incredibly pair shaped. Worth a look maybe? Lots of their evening dresses have sleeves too....

Sugarandsalt · 13/01/2017 07:50

I'll take a look at Hobbs thanks Sesame.

Official weigh in has me down 1lb. So that's 5lbs since January first. I'll take that!

Not2bObvious · 13/01/2017 09:23

Morning all. Was close to 2300 yesterday, d'oh. That's what happens when wine enters the equation! Scales still on 11.6.4 this morning, 3 days now. Considering the laxness of the last couple of days, I'll take it although I'd love to see 11.6 tomorrow giving me 2lb off. Wfh day and I haven't eaten yet, I have left chicken burger with a few chips for lunch - not sure what to have for breakfast, if I can I might hold off until lunch, that might buy me a few cals for my M&S Indian later. Going to the cinema later today, so that's something to look forward to.
I think I'll go prefill my mfp diary, see what I have to play with😉 Anyone doing anything nice for the weekend?

OP posts:
Bathsheba3 · 13/01/2017 09:41

5lbs down in 13 days - go you Sugar Star. And everyone are busy shopping too for posh-frocks - love it! Well done on everyone's spinning, boxercise, and everything else fun and active.

Nothing to report from me except rubbish day eating yesterday, plus if I wasn't sitting on my backside in work meetings I was driving. But looking forward to getting ontop if everything work & domestic, so I can get my head in the diet-zone. Does anyone else feel like that - i.e. need to clear all the other decks before concentrating on themselves?

Needastrongone · 13/01/2017 18:02

Thank you for the compliments on the dress. I think it's a shape that would suit a lot of shapes to be fair. Flattering on the bottom but not shapeless on top.

Glad you enjoyed the class Loli. Red faces shows effort, which is all to the good!

Wow Sugar, 5lb is brilliant, well done you.

Enjoy the cinema Not. And never mind the excess, it's done now. DH and me are going to a posh hotel tomorrow night, which was a Christmas present. Doubling the number of nights away we have had from the DC in 17 years. Grin

Bath, I'm okay with work and driving, if I have planned the food iyswim? If not, less so.

7st 6lb. So in range.

Having a hungry day today so snacked more than usual. It's all been healthy stuff though, Graze box, Nak'd bar. and hummus with cucumber, clementines. Having a rare takeout tonight, but I'll have veggie pizza with not much cheese.

I'll be over today, but that's fine, I'm running 12 miles in the morning.

Today I've done 45 minutes as an easy run and one dog walk.

Needastrongone · 13/01/2017 18:05

Sesame Ref body changes. No tits and lines round my eyes, I didn't have the latter and not much of the former prior to losing weight, but those are the changes. Grin

Sugarandsalt · 13/01/2017 21:53

How was everyone today?

I went shopping after work- no luck with a posh frock I'm afraid. Got a nice smart casual one in cos half price though.

Home now with a glass of vino. Stuck to my food plan, 1259 cals in (including wine). 15000 steps.
