Who's up for the 7lbs in September challenge?

Following on from June, July and August's threads, we're aiming to lose 7lbs.
(Posting as Rshard is still on holiday - hope you had a great time!)

All regimes welcome. Support and encouragement guaranteed!

My starting weight for September is 11st 5.25lbs. (I actually ended yesterday at 6.5lbs but the scales have jumped down again so I am having it!). That means I lost 5lbs in August. I found having this thread helped my focus and determination, if it helps anyone else, fantastic! Smile

Good luck everyone!

Well I'm always sweating like a tunky pig when I do it!

Helloheyhi · 29/09/2016 19:09

Oh BOOP that's really shit mate. Tough times. Hope you guys get through this okay. Also fingers crossed he gets back alright. Talking of falling asleep on trains, I'll tell you something to hopefully cheer you up slightly. A few years ago one of my colleagues went out to buy cigarettes in the middle of our Xmas lunch out. Him and one of my bosses were swinging whisky like water before that. Well he never came back. After the holidays when we went back to work we found out that he had somehow taken the wrong train, fallen asleep and ended up in Southampton. That's from central London to Southampton!
Hope your husband is okay Flowers

Rshard · 29/09/2016 19:29

I shall look forward to sweating like a pig! Got to take DD swimming straight after so that'll make me extra sweaty! DH away for work so I'm in charge

Lol at your colleague hello!

Helloheyhi · 29/09/2016 19:34

God knows what his wife must have said when he got home the following day!

Oh enjoy yoga Rshard!
Do you have a swim whilst she's swimming as well? Enjoy the just-the-two of you time!
Actually I was just coming to say scratch that story as I am sure it's not what BOOP wants to hear right now!

BitOutOfPractice · 29/09/2016 19:39

Southampton? Shock mind you he did phone me at 1am once to say that he had woken up at clacton and was stuck there all night. I'm not sure what he expected me to do about it - I was in Tenerife!

I hasten to add, he rarely goes out and gets wrecked but tonight I think it's allowed

I'm off to the gym to stomp angrily walk on the treadmill while letting the downfall of DP's company to get my steps target in

Helloheyhi · 29/09/2016 19:43

Lol BOOP classic!

Rshard · 29/09/2016 20:16

Love how you're using tonight's rubbish news to hit the exercise boop

God no hello, that child swims competitively! She'll be doing close on 150 lengths tonight. Although she'd die of embarrassment if I did rock up in my cossie. So it is tempting.

Helloheyhi · 29/09/2016 20:42

Wow Rshard that's fantastic, some serious swimming there. Ah you will be rocking that cossie like a star! Wink

BitOutOfPractice · 29/09/2016 20:58

Rsard what's the point of being a parent if you can't embarrass your kids? It's one of my greatest pleasures in life!

I got chatting to the guy on the treadmill next to me. Turns out he comes from my home town (which is 200 miles away from where I live now). Had a good old chat and let my accent show!

ponygirlcurtis · 30/09/2016 07:38

I view embarrassing my older DS as a duty, nay a calling. Grin

Really sorry to hear about your DH's job, BOOP. Fingers crossed he finds something else soon (and his head isn't too sore this morning. Or in Southampton.)

Some absolutely amazing losses here! Well done everyone who has lost. I start next month having only lost 1lb in September - now at 11st 4.25lb - but I think a 6lb loss between August and September is excellent for me, I am a slow loser. And after being stuck on 11st 8lb for months and months (and then gaining a couple extra over summer) I am more than happy to be where I am. Wink

Onwards and downwards for October!

Seems I need to step up my efforts at embarrassing DD! Wink

Hope DH got home last night boop

BitOutOfPractice · 30/09/2016 08:32

Morning! Yes he was home quite respectably early and snoring in the sofa by 10:30

I'm pretty pissed off to have put 1.5lbs on. However, that still takes me to a total of 9lbs off in September. I'll take that

BitOutOfPractice · 30/09/2016 11:08

So, who's starting the new thread?

QuimReaper · 30/09/2016 11:44

I think you just volunteered yourself BOOP Wink I don't mind doing it though.

So sorry about your husband, that sucks. Well done for not stress-eating or stress-drinking, you're a star!

QuimReaper · 30/09/2016 11:45

Hello ShockGrin at the colleague!

I'm baffled as to why he was getting on a train to get cigarettes though?!

BitOutOfPractice · 30/09/2016 12:57

I've started a new thread!

here's the kink to the Offtober thread
