God bath and we're still at it...sob. I "think" it's taken me a year to lose this stone and it's meant to be 3500 cals a pound, so in maths terms I averaged cutting back around 900 cals a week! Feels like a lot of deprivation for not much yield. Of course I'm rewriting history cause I clearly didn't deprive myself enough! Only 49,000 calories to burn to get to 10.4

Fitterbysixty · 21/09/2016 10:16

Lolimax I made my meals up in the week when the dog died because I was so low that I couldn't cope with MFP nagging me for not eating enough. I think I went back afterwards and made it right but at the time the last thing I needed was a talking to about my calorie intake.

If your DH is in old comfy shoes then it may be time for new ones with good arch support, when I get pain across the bottom of my left foot it means that my trainers have come to the end of their natural life. Not surprisingly that's another thing that's improved after losing some weight.

Porridge for me this morning followed by an hour's walk at 7.30. I'm still working up to joining a gym but I haven't a thing to wear other than an ill fitting sports bra and new trainers. I bought some cropped stretch pants a couple of months back but they don't stop up so well now either. I have three swimsuits, none of which fit. At least I have all the clothing for walking.

Overtiredbackagain · 21/09/2016 10:38

Right, Day 3 for me, why am I not at goal yet?? Grin Feel pretty good today, although having issues with eldest DD with a friend at school Angry

Just had a slice of peanut butter (thinly spread) on toast and a banana!

Overtiredbackagain · 21/09/2016 12:04

And no I have damn AF! Bloody early again - must be getting old!!! Explains the mood on me!

Sesame it's a cetificate in knowledge of policing, it's a requirement to apply to join the police and tonight is my last exam eek! There are resits in a few weeks time though Smile

Just a quick check in, cottage pie is now off the menu as mum is working and I haven't much time to make it in so lunch was 3 slices of pizza and a glass of milk - 610 calories
A snack before leaving for my class will be a go ahead bar - not the best I know but we're out of bananas and it's the nearest thing to being healthy in the house that doesn't require chopping, spooning, faffing etc - that'll be 148 calories
When I get in I'll have porridge and 2 tsp sugar - 210 calories and maybe some wine (167 calories) so that'll take me to 1135 for the day if I stick to it.
Tomorrow is going to be an odd day. I've got to be at my volunteering placement for 1 which means getting the bus at 12 which means missing lunch, and won't get back til 4. I'm planning on having 2 scrambled egg on toast for breakfast around 10.30ish, or maybe an omlette. I'll have my cottage pie and mixed veg and gravy around 4pm when I get back, so a late lunch/early tea depending on how you look at it. I'll probably then have a bowl of cornflakes for supper around 9pm, which ought to take me to 1027. Helping out at a group session tomorrow and will be in charge of the teas and coffees - so avoiding biscuits may be tricky!

Not2bObvious · 21/09/2016 15:17

Bath, I just went back and read one of the old threads. Odfg I was a bloody mess! I was as full of food and wine as I was of good intentions- no bloody surprise I was losing/regaining the same 10lb for like 6 months. I like to think I'm better behaved (kidding myself I'm sure) I should have been at goal by now if talk was effective & not just cheap😉 Oh well, just keep trucking on I guess
That's great that you have a loss keep, very encouraging

Lolimax · 21/09/2016 15:23

Oh made good luck with your exam. Our police force has just dropped it as an entry requirement which is so annoying for those people who have forked out for it!!
I've just treated myself to a plum and some grapes both went in the bin as they were sour as hell.

SesameSparkle · 21/09/2016 15:30

cora I reckon you can still score a loss following a 2000 cal day – that’s pretty close to tdee anyway. Enjoy your dinner tonight.

hopefully well done on your restraint to stick to just one biccie. I’m imagining a huddle of mfp-ers on your shoulder dressed up as angels frowning at the sweet treats… Halo

over well done for getting to day 3, sorry for af tho

not well done for boot camp – it will get easier not that I’ve ever done it you can definitely break it into those 10s – we’re cheering you on!

bath well done you – you will make it into the 11s at that rate.

sugarand good luck for day 3 – push through it! [legwarmer emoji]

loli I’m sure that lb will fall, glad your dh is ok

fitter so if you get kitted out, you could join that gym? You would really only need 1 outfit. I actually had a friend take in one of my swimsuits before when I was losing weight, it worked a treat just before a hol and saved me £30 for a new one.

keep nice work on the loss – keep going, you can do this Smile

made good for you and good luck for your exam later! Fingers crossed you sail though, no need to think about resits. Shamrock Maybe you could take your own healthy snack tomorrow afternoon, so you can have something to munch on when others are tucking into their biccies?

Not much happening here today. I’ve had 1100 cals already today. No actual treats included in that, despite there being an extraordinary quantity of home baking in the office this week. I’m finding that while I can manage to resist the baking, it’s harder for me to resist all the savoury stuff in the canteen. We have a pretty good work canteen, which means I usually have a filling hot meal in the middle of the day. But this really eats into my calorie allowance, and I actually feel quite full afterwards, perhaps uncomfortably so. I don’t eat like this at all when I’m off work, so I don’t really need all that food. I’ve just got into the habit of wanting it. I need to train myself to scale back my lunches for lighter options, and then I would be able to access those calories at other points, like for sociable dinners, having the odd treat and for weekends.

Sugarandsalt · 21/09/2016 15:38

Good luck with your exam made. Well done on the loss keep. Overtired between weight loss and stopping breastfeeding my periods are all over the place at the moment. I'm giving them 3 months to settle.

Im finished work early today. Going to get a chilli ready when we get in, as it's nicer if it sits for a while. Then DH can take DD to bed and I'll attempt day 3 of my 30 day shred. If my muscles acquiesce.

Had my usual porridge for breakfast, lunch was chicken coconut curry soup in pret with some grapes, and plan for chilli with sweet corn salsa for dinner. Will be 1100 calls so have 200 to snack on in meantime.

Salutarychoring · 21/09/2016 18:36

Hi, does anyone know if there happens to be a virus on MFP currently please?

First time that I have logged in tonight after a pause and I don't understand it. It seems to be multiplying my weighed food amounts x 10!

What's going on do you think?

Anyone else?

UpOnDown · 21/09/2016 19:17

Hi, can I join? I've used MFP for a year and lost 4.25 stone (from 14 stone), another 16 lbs to go (to 8st7, currently 9st 9).

Lolimax · 21/09/2016 19:28

Salutory mine seems to be fine.
Up - hello! That's an impressive weight loss!

Salutarychoring · 21/09/2016 20:05

Thank you v much Lolimax I will try it again on the morning!

Wow Upondown that's amazing!

Very inspiring thread this; I may rtn to it if you'll have me, once I've managed to get MFP working!

Hats off to you all in the meantime!

Salutarychoring · 21/09/2016 20:05

Oops - in the morning!

UpOnDown · 21/09/2016 20:39

Thanks, nice to meet you all!

Sugarandsalt · 21/09/2016 22:00

Welcome Up. That's very impressive weight loss. I started at a higher level but have gone from 15st11 to 12st2.5 (I did manage a brief dip down to 11st13.5!) and seem to have really plateau'd now. I've started another push this week as I'd really like to get to 11 7 by Christmas and to my initial goal of 10st 7 by my DDs birthday (early may 2017).

Ended up at 1350 today. 14500steps and 30 day shred (although I cheated a tiny bit today as my legs just stopped co-operating for around 30secs!).

Not2bObvious · 21/09/2016 22:07

I am in ribbons here, ribbons! Doms so bad I'm googling to see if it's normal, I know I've felt this way before but it's been a while - and my next class is tomorrow wails like banshee Right, got that out of my system😉 Finished the day around 1400, thought it was 1300'ish but just remembered the sneaky cappuccino I had on the way to work. Oh yeah and the g&t in the bath. Exercise is doing my water consumption no good, a bath 2 days in a row and I mean a fully filled gazillions of gallons of water, not forgetting my shower as well. If there's a water shortage in Ireland you've found the culprit. She can't run, you'll catch her in no time!
Hello new folk (sorry on phone and scrolling up/down is beyond me in my fragile state) - nice to have more onboard. Have you guys been watching the threads or just happened upon this? Oh sh*t stuck on my side, can't turn over to turn off light, dreading when I might need the loo tena time

Sugarandsalt · 21/09/2016 22:16

Oh Not going to the loo is hard here too, getting up and down is a killer! I actually didn't take a seat on the tube earlier because I thought I'd never be able to get up again!

I think tomorrow should be the worst of the DOMS. I really really hope so!

Hopefully · 22/09/2016 04:44

Not2b that made me laugh! We've all been there.

Hi up. Congrats on an amazing weight loss so far.

I am STILL on 10.3.3, where I have been for three days. Humph. You'd think a measly 0.25lb loss wouldn't be beyond my body, but apparently not. Period due tomorrow, but don't feel PMTish so maybe it will be late - my cycle seems to quite often go short/long when I'm dieting (have read theories in hormones being released from deflating fat cells that make sense - my cycle is like clockwork the rest of the time).

Want it to arrive so the bloat can be gone by the end of the month and I can see my month to month weight loss - although I'm a daily weigher, I tend to use my 1st of month weight as my marker of true loss. Also I want my next shopping reward! Although my gorgeous over the knee boots and felted wool coat are patiently waiting for the cold weather, just sitting in my wardrobe being beautiful Hmm Grin.

Not2bObvious · 22/09/2016 07:04

Ahh ffs! I'm on even more pain, I knew day 2 could be worse but this is ridiculous! sugar, sorry you're suffering but nice to have company standing (can't even sit on the bloaty bench) My cars heated seats are getting a lot of use!
Hope I think you need a soup day to break the maintenance, basically a bit like a fast day - low cal/low crap/lots of water. They can be great for a reset, reading the old thread yesterday reminded me of them - I'm due totm next day or 2, that'll add nicely to the misery!

Not2bObvious · 22/09/2016 07:27

News form the scales! 11.3.2 down .8 from yesterday. Need to be soo good today, taking a dose of nurofen shortly in the vain hope it'll relieve the pain - hope it works! Bootcamp later, this should be...interesting

Sugarandsalt · 22/09/2016 07:46

Hang in there Not. Day 4 here and I'm less stiff. Still feeling it for sure but definitely not as bad!

The scales and I are not friends anymore. I fear I may actually have eaten 40000 calories or so in my sleep last weekend as I'm still 12 2.5. Sigh. Despite my angelic behaviour all week. Sometimes in the past it's taken a second week for the good work to show so I'm not giving up. If no movement by the early next week I think I need to drop to 1200cals. I've been clinging to that extra 100! Hope at least your period is due so that should allow you drop a bit- mine started at the weekend so should be out of bloaty zone by now.

Meal plan has changed slightly- DH has a work dinner so I'll be having last nights leftovers. I made way too much!

Not2bObvious · 22/09/2016 07:49

That is brilliant keep, well done. Goes to show it's doable with plan old fashioned calorie counting.
Drugs in, hope to be able to get out of bed shortly (better do more then hope, kids need bringing to school & I need to go to work😩)
