So many good posts, really helping me keep on the straight and narrow. Came in at 1069 today, but did feel hungry a few times.

Got to get through the first weekend of new healthy eating, might be a challenge!

SesameSparkle · 08/09/2016 22:34

Thanks hopefully Smile According to zara size guide I should be an L, but I now no longer have hips/bum so I'm chuffed with that. I just opened up that thread to have a look. I also have total lack of inspiration with the high st offering. I'm 41 and finding nice pieces at a price I'm willing to pay for them is very tough. Also lots of the British brands for this age group are made for pears and technically I'm more hour glass/rectangular now ignoring the one website that diagnosed my figure as a 'brick'... It doesn't help that there's so little left in my wardrobe that fits.

Bathsheba3 · 08/09/2016 22:46

Just in from a do this eve and declined 2 glasses wine, tray of mini burgers, crisps, mini quiche, & other deliciously tempting mouthwatering canapés. Instead I had two glasses sparkling water. Calorie consumption a bloody miserable big fat 0. So total calories today 1282.

This isn't fun is it? But thank god for you lovely lot sharing your tales about spin classes (no saddles every wide enough for me) skinny-cut clothes at Zara (I've only ever been able to buy shoes) Christmas parties, thyroid stuff, and some very fearsome nasal hairs.

Sleep tight all, and lets hope our latent metabolism is busy burning extra calories whilst we dream of cake

Not2bObvious · 08/09/2016 22:51

Well done bath, it's a pain being good but it'll pay off it better
Read the thread about what you'd eat if it didn't count & oh my I'm having a whale of a time planning that in my imagination. Sleep well & reap the rewards of your self control😉

MustBeThin · 08/09/2016 23:04

Well done everyone Grin you are all doing brill.

Just a quick check in before bed. Had a slice of toast for breakfast then went out for lunch for a birthday. Had 3 courses soup to start, beef in wine for my main and chocolate torte for afters. Wasn't hungry at tea time so didn't eat anything then just had my Jaffa cakes a while ago. Not sure how many calories I've had maybe maintenance calories but I'm not really bothered. Smile

Bought my first pair of size 10 jeans today Shock

Night everyone! 😘

Hopefully · 09/09/2016 04:49

loli hope you're not too sore this morning!

mustbe sounds delicious. I often find now that if I have a really decent lunch I just skip dinner entirely. Big lunch better than big dinner, for me, for exactly that reason!

It is so boring bath, but you'll be pleased with your willpower when you next step on the scales. Do the Kate Moss mantra 'nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.'

Down another 0.25lb today (every little counts!) to a new low. I only need to lose a fraction of a pound more to be below 10st 4lb, and I'm only a pound away from my next reward. I feel a new handbag coming on Grin.

Lolimax · 09/09/2016 06:27

Morning all. No weight loss today but at least I was able to walk to the bathroom. I do ache but it's bare-able. Apparently I have muscles in places I didn't know muscles existed, everyday is a school day! Well done to everyone on their losses this week. I'm lying in bed with my cuppa, until April it would have been accompanied by at least 4 biscuits. How times change (and the dogs still look hopefully!).

Not2bObvious · 09/09/2016 06:46

Phew loli you dodged a bullet there! What sort of handbag will you buy hope as your reward? I haven't bought a new bag in ages, I have a good few but stick with a battered tan slouchy MK as it holds all my stuff rubbish I'm not a fan anymore, but bought this in NY for my 40th pressie to myself. It's soon to be my 42nd (gulp) and I think I'd like a new bag but nothing fancy, I have a Gucci which rarely makes it out of the house (35th bday pressie, noticing a trend anyone?) It's fabric and I'm anxious it'll get destroyed.
Wails from the scales...11.3.6, 1.8 down from last Friday. It'll do but I have to admit I'd hoped to see 11.2'something. It's a good loss really, if I lost the same again for the next 4 weeks I would be well under 11. I need to learn patience. Anywho, busy day planned, no drink today, haven't bought any in and I'm treating it as a normal day instead of my normal Friday feast day. Have a great day all😉

coragreta · 09/09/2016 07:24

Down 1.5lbs today. Yay. Only 2lbs till my reward. Not sure what I want yet. Need to start looking.

Not2bObvious · 09/09/2016 07:38

Hurrah cora! Not far to go to a lovely treat. Been cheered by the thought of my plan to lose 7 pound in September, I've now only 5.2 to go and 3 weeks to do it - I think that's perfectly possible. I'd be 10.11.4 by the 30th if I lost that - ooh challenge extended to self, challenge accepted😉

EmilyDickinson · 09/09/2016 08:07

Checking in.

I haven't had time to read the thread yet.

I kept to the 1,200 allowance yesterday.

B - porridge with skimmed milk, tea with skimmed milk

L - soup (107 calories)

D - tagliatelle with bolognese sauce

S - 2 cups of coffee with skimmed milk, 1 ginger biscuit, 3 cups of mint tea.

1,088 calories in total.

Bathsheba3 · 09/09/2016 08:13

Star for Must in size 10 jeans, and Star for losses. Me too, another 1lb down. Should be feeling better about it than I am. Still focussing on the negative (how could I let myself get to 12 6 in the 1st place) rather than yea me, I've lost 3 lbs in 9 days, and if I keep it up I too could dream of size 10 jeans. Kick-up-the-backside needed. And more. Colonic irrigation perhaps? Wink

Not2bObvious · 09/09/2016 08:22

Well fine bath!! I'm in my lovely size 10 jeans I was so excited about months ago. 2 weeks ago they were making a squeaky noise as the thigh seams rubbed together, now they're ok again. We're getting there😁

Sugarandsalt · 09/09/2016 08:30

Also down 0.25lbs today. Given the week of the month I'll take that! Loli hope you aren't too sore today, it's a good type of soreness at least!

Well done Cora and Hope.

Congrats on the size 10 jeans must. I don't think I'll ever get my large hips and thighs into a pair of size 10 jeans, although I can now just about get back into an old pair of Topshop Jamie jeans in a 12!

1.5lbs to 12 stone. I think I need a reward ar that point. I really want to break into the 11s- I've been looking at 12 far too long!

Plan for today:
Breakfast: Oats/chia seeds with almond milk and raspberries, a half teaspoon of cashew butter stirred in (180cals)
Lunch: have a lunchtime meeting so going to bring an itsu sushi pack (350cals I think)- next week I need to start bringing my lunches again.
Dinner- more beef brisket (leftovers from last night) and cannellini bean/leek mash (2 days in a row because it's so delicious and filling!)(630 cals).

That's 1160 so leaves room for some fruit.

Think I might try 2 fast days next week as I've just remembered that I have a long weekend and a wedding back home next weekend, Thurs-Sunday. I'll be staying with my family not my in-laws so will have some control over meals at least. Although it also means a fair amount of hanging out in airports, and some alcohol and a night in a hotel with hotel breakfast (gulp).

MustBeThin · 09/09/2016 08:37

Well done everyone Star lots of losses this morning. 👏🖒

I'm still 10st 7 glad there's no gain from yesterday, I've got half of a tub of Haagen Dazs to eat Saturday Grin Hope everyone has a good day.

Sugarandsalt · 09/09/2016 08:39

Well done not2b and bath also, missed you in my essay! And anyone else I missed! I find myself wishing that I could change my shape, I've never quite been an hourglass or a pear. Have a small waist and huge bum/thighs with saddlebags so should be a pear, but I also have a big chest (at my goal weight before my wedding I wore a 30F bra) and narrow shoulders. All the body calculators say I'm one of the few shapes they can't calculate!

Hopefully · 09/09/2016 10:03

Argh, I'm having one of those days where I am constantly starving! Have consumed a whopping 650 cals and it's, oooh, 10am. Can go for a good walk later to earn a handful of extra calories, but now have to limp through the next 12 hours on about 600 calories. Sob! Really want to stick to my limit today as we're away overnight tomorrow and I know I will end up going over my allowance.

Not2bObvious · 09/09/2016 10:16

What have you eaten so far hope? I'd try guzzling water, maybe scrambled egg for lunch, will still leave you 400 for dinner. Or cut yourself some slack and allow some more calories. In the middle part of running around...

coragreta · 09/09/2016 10:49

Planned a run for after work before picking my lo up from nursery and I am dreading it. Thought I'd let you all know so you can tell me off of o don't go.

Hopefully · 09/09/2016 11:27

Not2b various things on rice cakes (my NEMESIS. I should never buy them, I love them). Avocado, then butter and honey, then homemade Nutella. Sigh. On the bright side, I feel horribly bloaty now.

SesameSparkle · 09/09/2016 12:40

bath well done

must size 10 jeans is amazing! My jeans are a size 14, so I am Envy, tho I’m very glad mine are now topshop skinnies rather than the vanity sized white stuffs I’ve worn in the past.

hopefully, ooh that reward is getting sooo near….

loli glad you survived, do you have any more classes today or will you do another rest day?

not Woo hoo for your loss! Well done! And your plan to end September is a fab idea Star

cora well done! Now get your gear on and go for that run!

emily I’m in awe of your self-control, and for fitting a biscuit into your day… Wink

sugarand sounds like you will be into the 11s very soon!

I’m still 10st3, which is where I’ve been since 29 August… Hmm Just a smidgen under this morning, so better at least. I do know I’m eating like a pig close to maintenance now, but I really want to lose those last 3lb.

Not2bObvious · 09/09/2016 12:44

I say do your run cora, don't overthink it, just get your gear on & go. You'll be really pleased with yourself once it's done.
hope sounds like the combo of empty carbs and sugar hit you hard. The avocado/butter should be satiating but the Nutella and honey probably sent the hunger demons into overdrive. No more rice cakes (shakes stern finger) Back from main errand, baked a cake, changed my bed, now to do some laundry before collecting the kids. It's going to be a long day without Friday wine to look forward to but 1 less days drinking will be good for the calories

Sugarandsalt · 09/09/2016 13:18

Hope is the homemade Nutella easy to make? And how do the calories work out for it?

EmilyDickinson · 09/09/2016 17:38

Thank you Sesame. Tea and biscuits are a big temptation for me so it felt like a bit of a risk to have one as one often leads to six where I'm concerned. I was ridiculously proud of myself for having just one and staying within my daily allowance. Thanks so much to the poster who suggested putting the meal plan for the day into MFP early on in the day. It really helps me to see how much wriggle room I have.

Bathsheba3 · 09/09/2016 17:53

it's friday eve & I'm getting twitchy for something to nibble on & a g'n't. Will have to settle for a cuppa. Boring. Lets hope I (we) can hold strong this weekend. I find it v hard when family around, & they are munching away on nice things. Emily - just one biscuit? I wouldn't have the will power to stop at just the one. Good on you.
