I need to lose 3.5 stone - feel so fed up about it I am ignoring the mince pies and Thornton's chocolates! I have lost weight before with a great bunch of ladies on mn. I feel motivated to do the same again and this time keep it off, I went through my wardrobe and found a very stylish tunic I bought in the South of France that I wore once before gaining weight.

Whatever your approach - low carb, Weight Watchers, Slimmers World or healthy eating, all welcome to join me with motivational tips/chat to keep each other going. I find that I don't stick to any plan and eating at meals times/snack on veg and fruit/exercise works for me.

Look forward to chatting with whoever wants to join Smile

trimmer brilliant news re the school! And well done with the trousers. I measured my waist this morning, decided going to do it on 1st of every month. It was a sobering experience indeed Sad. But onwards and upwards, hopefully will give me more motivation to keep going.

Good to see you on the thread, Kim! And well done on the weight loss, that's a brilliant result.

Great news about DD's school, Trimmer; DD doesn't even start primary school till 2018 and I'm already dreading the whole school selection process, it just sounds hideously stressful.

I've updated the thread again, as it had my stats from last week, which will confuse me come Friday when I update again (by which time hopefully some of the totm bloat will have buggered off...)

So ladies, im afraid i have been on a dieting hiatus and it sort of continues. I have decided to give up booze at the very least for March but maybe longer (particularly drunk at work night - still mentally recovering). Therefore i am being kind to myself in every other way including a chocolate if i want one!

However i can report an STS. And not drinking countless cocktails on a weekend must ultimately have an affect on my waste line? mustnt it ? 😕

Also i am making steps toward bike riding. I now have secured the peddles i spoke of when i joined - they have still not quite made it on the bike. DH told me he would do it for me if i can find a spanner. If i could find a bleeping spanner i could do it myself!!!

Well done everyone on recent losses and sts. And extra well done on the shred accomplishments. I did 1 session and walk around like a 90 year old woman for a week! Whilst enjoyed i have to accept my achiles heal is busted. And star jumps are not my friend Sad

GBBO15 · 01/03/2016 12:53

downstairs I've no idea where I lose weight from first really, I've never really measured myself before but thought it might help motivate me when the scales don't seem to be budging. I'm not even sure I could claim to have a waist at the minute, since pregnancy!

Hope you enjoy cocktails for DH's birthday. I don't think a celebration now and again will affect your weight loss as long as you get straight back into it afterwards not that I ever manage that

GBBO15 · 01/03/2016 12:55

summer yes I think giving up alcohol will definitely help, good luck!

Oh I've had the baby 7 months ago! Just not doing too well on losing the old baby weight!

GettinTrimmer · 02/03/2016 15:03

Just done Shred, and it's lunch time for me even though it's nearly 3pm! Finish work at 2pm - not actually feeling very hungry, had 2 squares of 85% chocolate, a handful of walnuts and a banana at work to keep me going.

Has anyone seen Pistey? I know she weighs in on Weds.

downstairs/jelli I remember when I had a stone and a bit to lose and it went very slowly - one week only 0.25lb per week.

I know what you mean about grammar schools Downstairs, I worked for school admissions in Buckinghamshire, parents very unhappy sometimes, even though good schools as alternatives.

GBB waist measuring is good idea, my problem area. I am many inches over the recommended health weight measurement, being an apple shape!

GettinTrimmer · 03/03/2016 15:07

Anyone out there? Hope all having good day Smile

Jelli just done Level 2 of Shred, Jillian has just said she wants us to gargle our hearts! Found the strength really tough not to mention the jumping plank things, I definitely did stay with Anita. I'm going to watch level 3 with a cup of cadbury highlights to see what's coming in two weeks!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/03/2016 15:11

Hola chums, sorry to have been awol.

Mad times here, currently have one of the Edinburgh eights staying for a big race this Saturday, they are just lovely, but with lots of other stuff going on, wool being bonkers, I just haven't seen the wood for the trees.

I am definitely still here, although my mind has lost its mojo. Kinda need to reboot and start again, and catch up with you all!! xxx

Jellibelli · 03/03/2016 15:31

Hi Gang!

Day off work here, hurrah, and its been a slow start, although i did finish an assignment this morning. First day with jillian on 6week 6 pack, i remember, I like it! It takes longer than 30ds by about 15 minutes, but that means i can eat more yummy stuff. It was hardt though in places but i quite enjoyed it. There is quite a bit of lying on the floor which i like, and less jumping about that i don't!! Onwards and upwards.....

Trimmer glad you are sticking with Jillian. I found i got weight and (more important to me) cm and size loss with her DvDs. It got me fit enough to complete C25K, when i met Pistey, and then i ran more until at my best i ran an 8mile very hilly run. Wish I could do that now!! It's all in the plan though so just some patience required. It always amazes me with new exercise, how hard it seems on the first day, but nibbling away doing a bit more each day, you can complete by day 10. It's clever the body!

GBBO15 you're way ahead of me, it took me about 16 years after DD to start loosing weight. I'd wished I'd done it sooner to be more active with the DC and set a good example by enjoying being active....

Ok I need to go and get some shopping for the week, happy losing folks!

GettinTrimmer · 04/03/2016 06:33

Just weighed in, sts.. No surprise, did think I was eating a bit too much. A big push for me now before Elosi g aster, won't get a chance to do Jillian as I'm doing long day at work. See you all later I'm a little fed up, just wish there was a way of losing 2.5 stone overnight! At least it's not 3.5 stone like it was 1st January. See you all later good luck other Friday weighers.

MABS · 04/03/2016 08:09

I need a reboot too Pistey, will have to be after weekend now tho

GettinTrimmer · 04/03/2016 08:21

Pistey you mean there's a team of 8 Edinburgh rowers with you? All the very best to them tomorrow.

GBBO15 · 04/03/2016 08:33

Lost 0.5lb. Happy enough but would really like to be losing a pound a week. Been reading a lot of books about how to do it and think I have a plan in place: eat lots of green leafy veg (3/4 volume lunch and dinner), plenty of healthy fats, some protein, v little processed carbs.
I'm walking 1-2 hr a day with pram but just can't get the time to do anything more formal eg 30DS.

Jelli you made me laugh! Well done on the weight loss!
Trimmer STS is ok, it will always happen some weeks.

GBBO15 · 04/03/2016 08:35

Welcome home Pistey. It wasn't the same without you.

Good luck on the reboot MABS

babyand · 04/03/2016 08:38

Hi guys can i join in? Have a 7 month old lg. gained 3 stone 10 lbs since having her. Joined unislim last week. Was down 5.5lbs on week one. So hoping to steadily loose 2 lbs a week to get the bulk of it off. Shock

RatherBeOnThePiste · 04/03/2016 09:38

Jelli!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 04/03/2016 09:39

MABS Rebooting on Monday for us both

RatherBeOnThePiste · 04/03/2016 09:43

Yes Trim, I have 8 Edinburgh rowers staying here inc DD, they are an eight crew, one is staying with a friend that she hadn't seen for ages, or we'd ave had 9! So think mountains of porridge, pasta, flapjacks! Tis very nice and they are all lovely. Just about to drop them off for their session near Putney Bridge.

The race is the Women’s Eights Head of the River Race, and it is the course of the Boat Race in reverse, think over 300 crews. Bonkers!!

Error404usernamenotfound · 04/03/2016 09:47

Hi all, hope everyone's had a good week. Been a bit up and down here; haven't eaten quite as healthily as I should, but haven't gone nuts either, which I was tempted to do a few times!

I've lost 1.6lb this week, although I think a lot/all of it is bloat. Still, I'll take what I can get Smile

Well done on your losses/STSs this week, all, and welcome to the thread babyand. Well done on your loss so far, and please add yourself to our list if you'd like to.

Morning chums Brew

babyand · 05/03/2016 09:14

Hi guys, thanks very much for the welcome. As im new to ghis do i just add my details to tht list and post it again? Sorry im hopeless Hmm

GettinTrimmer · 05/03/2016 11:44

Hi babyand nice to have you with us Smile you are welcome to add yourself to the list, just copy and paste, then type yourself in after Jellibelli first put weight to lose, then Weigh Loss then Weight to Goal, but it's not essential just a good way of keeping track of progress. What's Unislim?

Pistey yes I can imagine those mountains of carby stuff those rowers will need, pretty strenuous. How are they doing?

I feel like I've bought a mountain of food from ALDI this morning. Lots of fruit and veg, I am planning on making butternut squash and roasted tomato soup.

Have to take dd to Abingdon tomorrow for a gymnastics competition, my mum is coming over for tea so no idea how I will fit in cooking a roast dinner! Everything will be prepped in advance, just about to make a chocolate cake with dd - need some iron willpower at the moment Confused
