I need to lose 3.5 stone - feel so fed up about it I am ignoring the mince pies and Thornton's chocolates! I have lost weight before with a great bunch of ladies on mn. I feel motivated to do the same again and this time keep it off, I went through my wardrobe and found a very stylish tunic I bought in the South of France that I wore once before gaining weight.

Whatever your approach - low carb, Weight Watchers, Slimmers World or healthy eating, all welcome to join me with motivational tips/chat to keep each other going. I find that I don't stick to any plan and eating at meals times/snack on veg and fruit/exercise works for me.

Look forward to chatting with whoever wants to join Smile

Blimey Jelli watched that ES & S earlier, while having a coffee (after doing the Shred!) it looks strenuous to say the least. Will have to work up to it. I think my back may be OK tomorrow. After not doing Shred for a week my shoulders feel a bit tight.

If you're around Pistey & Mabs hope you both had good holidays. Fluffy hope you are settling down OK in your new home.

Hope everyone is having a good week Smile

RatherBeOnThePiste · 24/02/2016 07:53

Morning chums!

Lovely, lovely ski trip, jet lagged now but worth it!

Was two pounds up, so hoping to shift that by next week, think mainly due to beer drinking. Thank god we did all the time in the gym because even with it, my thighs were on fire half the time Grin

I will be back in a bit to catch up, hope all ok, laters xxxx

Pistey remember me? We used to 'run together' on the C25K /nail varnish threads with Shreddedbutnotsmug and LinzerTorte and others, it was a few years ago now.... How are you keeping?

Hope you had a fantabulous trip and are recovering from jet lag now.

No news from really just about to complete day5 of level 3 30DS, sticking with mfp and noticed my work trousers feel roomier :)

Have a great day :)

Error404usernamenotfound · 25/02/2016 09:27

Welcome back, Pistey, glad you had a great holiday!

Welcome to the thread, happydoll, and congratulations on your weight loss so far, you've done brilliantly!

I have to confess to a handful of mini marshmallows a few days ago (meant to be off sugary things for lent); I was looking for something in a cupboard, and there they were. I'd opened the bag and shoved a handful in my mouth before I even realised what I was doing Blush On a better note, I have resisted the lure of 'medicinal chocolate' during pms this week.

My diet's not been great this week; although I've kept off the sugar, the mid-afternoon munchies still get me so I've just substituted sugary crap for fatty and salty crap, generally crisps. So I need to tweak my diet somehow so that I don't feel the need to grab whatever's close at hand by 4pm. Today I have ham hock and egg salad, with just a couple of potatoes, so we'll see how long that keeps me full. Smile

MABS · 25/02/2016 09:33

Hi all - m back from Oz and feel very fat and jetlagged, will weigh in at some point

Error404usernamenotfound · 25/02/2016 09:37

Hi MABS!

GettinTrimmer · 26/02/2016 06:58

Morning all Smile lost 2.5lb this week, so that's half term curries etc and extra 0.5lb. Easter about 4 weeks away, would like to lose 7lb before then.

Lost 0.9lb!

Happy with this, not much but slow is what I want with the breastfeeding.

First loss in a couple of weeks too, so hopefully my new method is working. It's been easy enough to follow.

Well done Trimmer! Fantastic work! I got that Lean in 15 book and it does look really good but not sure how much I can use it as don't eat meat or fish. Interesting to read his ideas though and might do the exercises if I can ever get the baby down early enough.

Good luck all Friday weighers!

Welcome home pisteand MABS! Welcome jelli

Have I killed the thread? Shock

Fairenuff · 27/02/2016 11:49
Grin

Not much to report here. Sts again. Am happy with maintaining, it will come off when it's ready. Easter might be tricky, so much temptation around and I really don't want to gain.

However, I am going to try and make the time until then count and hopefully be motivated enough to not undo all the good work.

I think this might help.

Sorry about the gain error but it is probably TOTM and water retention.

GettinTrimmer · 27/02/2016 15:06

28 days Fairenuff so I should lose my half stone! I hope to have maintained by the end of Easter holidays.

error I've wondered the same a few times, let's keep posting! When I gained at end of half term, I am sure half of it was a false reading as I had a curry the night before with big portion of rice, bound to be TOTM. I had a major falling off wagon last night with big portion of home made pizza, crisps and biscuits. Oh dear, will have to pull this back before next weigh in.

How is your course going?

Jelli 2 days to go before I am on level 2 of the Shred. I had a look at level 2 - eek!

GBB well done on your loss Smile I liked quite a few of the recipes in the Lean in 15 book, especially the fajita pizza, just leave the meat out I suppose.

We are all off to London for a 6 mile walk tomorrow, starting at High Street Kensington. Not sure of the route, taking our dc, but meeting up with old friends not seen for a long time. Should burn a few cals if I take a sensible packed lunch. Pre kids we used to go for long walks, stay at a pub overnight and a long walk again the following day, usually about 10 to 15 miles. I don't seem to walk so much these days, really miss it, so excited about tomorrow.

I am looking at our list and not seen quite a lot of people for a while, so I am going to trim it down when I get a chance - however, anybody who wants to be on list again after I've done so, please add yourselves again. Anybody else out there who would like to join us, all welcome Smile

Error404usernamenotfound · 27/02/2016 15:17

My course is going well, thanks, Trimmer, I'm supposed to be reading articles right now planning a research project which I've just discovered has to be in three weeks before I thought it did Shock I'm enjoying it though!

I love walking too, but DD is too big for a sling and too little to walk far, so we haven't done any for ages either. I'm looking forward to getting back into it at some point. We have too many walking maps to not use! Hope you have a great time tomorrow.

The list definitely needs trimming down a bit; I haven't had the nerve to do it in case I remove someone I shouldn't and offend them...

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/02/2016 00:02

Sorry. Still crap. Still sts

MABS · 28/02/2016 09:22

sts here too, miracle!

Jellibelli · 28/02/2016 14:37

STS here again this week, which is OK I guess as I had been a lb up all week. Jillianing everyday and keeping to mfp goals, so am trying not to be disappointed. No change in my measurements either. I know I need to be patient.....

Trimmer how are your energy levels now? I hope you are feeling more energised rather than more tired after doing Jillian. L2 does come as a bit of a shock but you'll be able to do it by D10 - dont expect too much on D1, Anita is there for a reason! Am mostly sticking with Natalie for L3 (completed D8 today) but i have to swap out a couple of the exercises since falling over the other night (sober honest!) and hurting my foot. The pain is subsiding now so should be back to joining in fully in a day or two. I have to say my press ups are coming along. I currently use the coffee table instead of the floor as it is a better intermediate step than using the knees, but i need something a little lower, but still off the floor....

Hope everyone has had a good weekend

Kim82 · 29/02/2016 13:37

I've trimmed the list down, taken off most people we've not seen for a long time, but please come back if anyone is out there Smile

Kim great loss, well done!

Jelli I am on day 1 Level 2 tomorrow. Anyway - my back is fine now, I am suspecting it was something to do with tummy exercises not being done properly. Not shredding today as I have been on a 2 mile run, gorgeous cold crisp sunny weather out there. I am also doing another DVD, called Blast off Belly Fat, 10 minute solutions, and it is not easy, to say the least! Ouch about your foot.

Blondes/Mabs sts is good, when considering how easy it is to gain.

Nothing much happening with me. I am making macaroni cheese for dinner this evening, just a small portion for me with a pile of curly kale. It's never going to work if I absent myself from the meals I cook and give to everyone else. Find out tomorrow if my dd has her place at secondary school she still cuddles her bear and sucks her thumb, no idea where the time's gone.

GBBO15 · 29/02/2016 22:21

Downstairs - fingers crossed for you with the midwifery

Trimmer - hope DD gets her place ok

Not much to report for me. Out for lunch with PIL, only had soup as nothing else on menu was at all healthy looking. Think going to start measuring waist as well as weight to see if that helps motivate me.

Jellibelli · 29/02/2016 22:26

Good work Kim Smile thats a great result.

Trimmer well done with sticking with Jillian, along with care with food she has been great for me, a real revelation about how good I can feel. I am glad your back is feeling much better, and well done on running today, i was working but it looked like a lovely day out there.

Downstairs no losing weight isn't easy, but this morning i noticed that an amount of fat has shifted from my torso, so things are changing. I must drink more water though.... I would like weigh about a stone less than i do, as i felt great when I was there a couple of years ago. Since then ive had a lifestyle change, been comfort eating a little, drinking too many coffee shop coffees and exercising less, resulting in the fat creeping back. I will be changing lifestyle again in a few months so i am hanging on in there. Mil says i was too skinny at my target weight, but to be honest she is overweight/obese, fil is overweight and the other bills and their families are all overweight and obese, so she is an unreliable witness Wink

Anyway, last day of 30day shred tomorrow Grin and then i start 6week 6pack, and Jillian says i just need to do it five times per week! Hurrah!

Downstairs Great idea for the kale - I just normally steam mine and put dressing on it. Good luck with results of interview.

GBB I have measured my waist a couple of times, but it's my trouble zone! I know some weight has gone from my torso, as I can now wear black trousers that didn't fit me on 1st January.

Jelli my non working day, so after I have cleared up, I am doing my last day of level 1. I can tell I've not been running for a while as muscles in hips feel a bit sore. Remind me what Jillian you are planning on after the Shred?

My dd has her place in secondary school of choice Smile come September both her and ds will be in the same school, will make life a lot easier. Seems a bit strange really Confused how did that happen, 2 of them at secondary...!
