Sorry if stepping on toes. But couldn't see another thread. Anybody want to join me? I guess the idea is that some weeks you loose a bit more and some weeks you gain but aiming for 1lb a week sounds good to me.

Hi, just popping in to say hello.

I am still illSad. I have laryngitis, pharyngitis and a chest infection SadSadSad

So no exercise, and my diet has consisted of mashed potatoes and ice cream.

Blueraccoon · 02/05/2016 09:48

Well done Rince on losing even with being on nights! I can imagine it must be more difficult keeping track of what you're eating. Welcome back Nantucket. Glad you had a good time. I'm a bit jealous of everyone who is having holidays! I would love a holiday but no chance of one right now.

Well I've put the lb I lost last week back on. Not surprised at all. Zero motivation. When I was younger I used to find dieting quite easy. I would stick to about 1200 calories a day and the weight would drop off. I might not stick to it for very long but I could drop a stone in no time. Don't know what's stopping me now.

I am going to give it another go this week. Hopefully something better to report next week.

Blueraccoon · 02/05/2016 09:50

Oh dear Dotty, sounds awful. Take care of yourself and get well soon.

Rinceoir · 02/05/2016 10:25

Dotty that sounds miserable, hope you feel better soon. Blue I can't stick to 1200 for long either. I aim for 1400-1500 now and try to up activity a bit. I know I'll need to drop lower once my weight is lower but I might aim for 0.5lbs a week then instead of 1lb. Planning to start running again this week, my injury appears healed, went for long walk with toddler in ergobaby yesterday and it was ok anyway. Have a busy week, working days tues-Thursday, then nights fri-sun but off for 2 weeks afterwards?

Rinceoir · 02/05/2016 10:25

Don't know where the ? came from. I am sure I am off for 2 weeks after!

DottyBee · 02/05/2016 22:11

Thanks all. I am definitely out for this week. I now have conjuctivitis in both eyes too, so will pop to gp tomorrowSad

Good luck this week everyone.

Blueraccoon · 03/05/2016 20:15

Sounds like you might be a bit run down Dotty, not managing to fight off infection at all right now. Sad

Rince, nowadays I try to stick to 1600 calories, wouldn't even attempt 1200. Even at 1600 I struggle - I'm just so greedy!

NantucketNightbird · 06/05/2016 09:16

Brilliant that you still managed to loose rinse you have done amazing. I'm going to weigh on Monday I'm hoping for 10st 1 which will put me at a healthy BMI.

I have my youngest on his first ever course of antibiotics four times a day for an infected finger. His sister is almost 6 and has never had antibiotics so I was a bit upset that's he's having them at 3 Sad

Back on nights tonight for 3 nights. Then it's countdown to my holidays! Today is the hardest day food wise- up for 24 hours and trying to eat 3 meals and 1500 calories! So far today I've had miso soup with chicken and a banana. I'll have an omlette before work and then dinner overnight (chilli con carne with some mashed butternut squash). I'll also make some healthy cookies and bring some fruit and nuts.

Are you feeling better Dotty? Nan I'm sure you'll hit your goal, you have done so well.

DottyBee · 07/05/2016 10:17

Still poorly, but I am on the mend. Thanks for asking Rincenoir

I am meal planning to start again Monday, as I am now feeling up to cooking properly. I am gutted that the fitness I had built up doing couch to 5k has gone and I will have to start overSad

If you start running and exercising again you need to take on more than 1200 Cal.

Don't be hard on yourself Nantucket. I hope he is feeling better soon.

Rinceoir · 07/05/2016 16:29

Dotty I'm the same as you on running front- had built it up beautifully but then injured my knee so had to rest for a few weeks. This week I just didn't get motivated enough to start again, but next week when I've recovered from nights I will. I'll start at week 4 couch 2 5k again I think and see how it goes. I'm not weighing in monday as normally do first thing in morning and after a night of eating and drinking it won't be accurate but I'll probably do it Tuesday instead.

havalina1 · 09/05/2016 08:27

Hello everyone Smile
I've lost 1lb and I've been careful all week. It was a hard earned 1lb loss, so I'm not going to cave now and put it back on!

I went for a jog last week and it felt amazing. I forgot about that gorgeous adrenaline buzz. However I paid for it next day as my prolapse which I'm managing with loss of pelvic exercise, took a few steps backwards. Not going to run again.

Week 4 of Pilates tomorrow.

So I'm officially 10st 12lb now.

12lb to go.

Rinceoir · 09/05/2016 10:25

I'm down half a pound. I'm happy enough because I thought last weeks 2lbs was a scale error! Finished nights, have lots of work related stuff to do and holidays to prepare for so have a busy few days off planned.

Rinceoir · 09/05/2016 10:27

Well done Hav! I wish I only had 12lbs left to lose, it's a bit of a marathon!

NantucketNightbird · 09/05/2016 10:33

5lb down for me since I last weighed before butlins! I'm now 7lb from goal! I'm 10st I can't believe it I will be seeing my weight start with a 9 next week for the first time in over 6 years! I've lost 3st 6lb since jan 5th.
Well done everyone you have all done great. I'm looking into hypnotherapy once I get to goal to address my binge eating, but I'm impressed that I haven't had a binge since Christmas.

Three STONE Nan that is effin amazing. That is seriously amazing??? Surely everyone is noticing now?

Rinceoir you're flying it too. You ladies are brilliant Smile

NantucketNightbird · 09/05/2016 12:49

People are now starting to notice, once I get to goal I will post photos if I can find a decent before shot, I wish I had done underwear photos. Some people are actually being quite rude to me, people who were slimmer than me who I've sort of overtaken. Some people don't mention it, there's a woman who started weight watchers the same week I started my own plan. She weighed a stone less than me at the same height she has lost 5lb. She will hardly speak to me now. Confused. People can be very odd, but I'm happier having nobody talk to me. I did this for me I no longer take prescription painkillers for my shoulder, I don't take oxytetracyline on prescription for my skin as it's cleared up by the change in my diet. My hair only needs washing 1/2 times a week compare to how greasy it would get the same day before. I feel like my life has changed Smile

Sometimes I wish we had "I love that post" buttons - your life HAS changed. That is massive change.

Very apt saying at home - feck the begrudgers.

I've lost one pound and I wouldn't get in a snot with you over it!! Sometimes when I'm queuing for a coffee and have to get past the coffee and walnut cake, and they ask "anything else today?" its you guys I think of and your small daily triumphs that all accumulate into steady weight loss, that inspires me.

Ooh gushy post -eek. Promise I'm not on drugs GrinJust happy for you. And for me too - all one pound less of me!!!

Rinceoir · 09/05/2016 13:28

People are noticing here too, it's strange- I don't know if I want them to mention it or not! I'm still 2 stone from goal, maybe 2.5 and I don't want to start thinking my current weight is ok. I'm very much in between on clothes sizes at the moment- big clothes big, small clothes small so I'm living in the same 3 things over and over. I'm going to get some new things cheaply enough to get me through the summer I think, and hopefully will be hitting my goal by the end of the year, I'm assuming my rate of loss will slow from here on in. It's been around 7lbs/month for last few months.

Rinceoir · 09/05/2016 13:29

Nan you are as always doing amazingly! People can be ridiculous when it comes to weight- its not as though you have added the weight to them!

NantucketNightbird · 11/05/2016 09:49

Thanks you guys Smile you make me feel so much better!

My loss has slowed considerable too rince, I'm setting myself a goal of my target weight by June 7th my daughters birthday. So that's 7lb. I think ultimately I would like to get to 9st by July 11th when I go to butlins. It's slightly lower than my original target but will give me a 7lb window that I can ensure I stick within iykwim.

Just when I was starting to get brave and bare my arms/legs in dresses the weather changes and it's awful here!

Rinceoir · 13/05/2016 08:47

How's everyone doing? I've been working quite hard this week, sticking to 1400cals and getting 15-20k steps a day. In the hope that I'll look as good as possible for my holidays next week! It's Portugal so lots of healthy options available, just aiming not to regain a lot (a little is acceptable!).

NantucketNightbird · 14/05/2016 08:26

Enjoy the holiday rince Smile. We went down the beach last night after school. It's one of the only good things about living in pembrokeshire having beautiful beaches so close. Yet there is such poverty in my town that some children never see one Sad
I braved a dress yesterday I felt super!

Rinceoir · 16/05/2016 07:12

I'm sure you looked great too Nan! Well in down 2 lbs today(2st 13lbs total), won't be weighing in on a Monday for a while again. Good luck to anyone weighing in today!
