Sorry if stepping on toes. But couldn't see another thread. Anybody want to join me? I guess the idea is that some weeks you loose a bit more and some weeks you gain but aiming for 1lb a week sounds good to me.

Well done Nan. You have definitely inspired me, I'm going to get some peanut butter powder today- thought Holland and Barrett would sell it? You've inspired me to stop snacking and I'm eating proper meals and cut out crisps and chocolate and biscuits. Been on plan since Saturday, as I said earlier in thread I have a holiday in 8 weeks and want to be slimmer for then. Well done everyone who's losing!

NantucketNightbird · 18/04/2016 12:51

Thanks miss, you have made my day! I get mine from amazon I have the normal and chocolate variety it's really nice especially in an almond milk smoothie. I should think holland and Barrett sell it.
8 weeks is such a good chunk of time to make a huge difference Smile.

I've never heard of peanut butter powder. Google suggests its something I might like. Can you get almond butter powder etc too?

NantucketNightbird · 18/04/2016 17:27

Ooh almond butter Is there such a thing? Is It like peanut butter? Good grief I'm drooling

Rinceoir · 18/04/2016 19:45

Oh almond butter is amazing Nan. I love it. A teaspoon spread on apples or in dates as a treat.. Cashew butter too.

Missushb · 18/04/2016 19:54

I can confirm Holland and Barrett have peanut butter powder! Yum, just had some in a smoothie, very nice.

NantucketNightbird · 21/04/2016 07:23

How is everyone doing? All good here, the weather is getting warmer anyone else thinking of summer clothes?

OP posts:
havalina1 · 21/04/2016 11:44

It's pretty warm! I've been wearing a cath kidson frock (it has chest buttons so I can still breastfeed). It's actually very forgiving on the post baby tummy.

Eating is going well this week. I've decided to stop pushin it in a panicked way and to just relax, weight will go when it's ready, and now I'm not panicking I'm eating much healthier. I'm happy to get one of those packets of nuts if I'm stopping to have a coffee and feed baby ( he feeds a lot) and just generally feeling a lot better.

DP mightn't like it but I'm swapping out the butter and cream calories in mash for a dash of oil and fresh veg tiny pieces mixed through.

Made it to first Pilates - first class in two years - that's having two babies in that time - it felt so so good to be there. And I'm doing my walking in the evening, but the toddler often kicks off so it sometimes is a waste of effort.

Nan have you got all new clothes for the holiday? You're off this weekend aren't you?

Rinceoir · 22/04/2016 23:43

Hello all. I've been very bold- made a Nutella cake for DDs birthday and I licked the mixing spoon/bowl clean... Cake looks amazing but will try keep away from it tomorrow. Feeling bloated and this hasn't helped!

Rinceoir · 25/04/2016 08:04

Down 1.5lbs this week again. Happy with that, 36lbs in total since January. On nights this week, which is a major challenge!

Blueraccoon · 25/04/2016 10:17

I've managed to lose 1 lb this week. Not an awful lot for the amount of cutting back I felt I did. Then again, I didn't exactly stick to a strict diet either so fair enough. Just need to try and hold in there this week and not give up.

Thoughts of Nutella cake are not helping! Well done on your weight loss Rince. Did you have a slice? 😀

Rinceoir · 25/04/2016 11:03

Well done Blue! Every lb counts. I had a lot of weight to lose but am half way there now, needing new clothes and it all seems much more manageable now. I had a very tiny slice of the delicious Nutella cake, it did seem very sweet after months of cutting back on sugar. Remarkably it satisfied me without wanting more. It all got eaten thankfully.

Blueraccoon · 25/04/2016 12:52

I think that's the secret - recognising and acknowledging when you are satisfied and not having more just because it was yummy. I need to lose about 3 stone. It just seems so daunting.

Rinceoir · 25/04/2016 13:20

I had between 4-5 to lose, and 2.5 down in total. I know it's going to get harder and slower from here on in but I'm really determined to get down to my pre-baby weight. (Baby was 2 this weekend so really can't keep blaming her!). On nights this week and I know sleep deprivation is a trigger so I'm planning on relaxing a little (eating approx 1600 cals instead of 1400) and carrying little sandwich bags of healthy snacks to eat on the go- I don't usually get a break so tend to binge afterwards. I've ale made a big batch of curry which reheats nicely, and will make a stew on Wednesday to do two days as well.

DottyBee · 25/04/2016 22:17

Hello all. Not weighed in today as feel very unwell.
Good to see everyone is doing well.

Fossie · 26/04/2016 00:35

1lb up. Too good a weekend.

Rinceoir · 27/04/2016 18:15

Fossie a lb will easily be dropped again. Finding nights hard going, really hard to sleep in the day and I'm exhausted which makes me want to snack. Going to chop some fruit and put small portions of nuts into little pots to nibble on overnight.

NantucketNightbird · 29/04/2016 19:22

I'm back!!!!! I feel like a stranger and it's only been 5 days Grin. I did my best to make good choices and I'm straight back on it. I can't weigh for a week Monday so I'm hoping it's not a crazy gain. Well done to everyone you are doing brilliant.

Rinceoir · 30/04/2016 09:36

Welcome back Nan! How was your holiday?
I've had a week of nights, slept 12 hours mon-fri total so was hard watching cals when awake 20+ hours a day! Slept 14 hours straight last night thankfully. I'll be delighted Monday if I'm a steady weight.

NantucketNightbird · 30/04/2016 21:04

Bloody hell rince, how are you still alive Shock.
It was great sad to leave but back in 10wks. I think we go too often everyone remembered the kids names (but they do have very memorable names) Grin. It not everyone's cup of tea and we could go abroad for less than we spend on the 4-6 butlins breaks we do but the children love it.
I've been back on it big time today and am feeling optimistic for a week Monday.

Rinceoir · 01/05/2016 00:31

Glad it was good, I'm really looking forward to my upcoming holiday too. I definitely found the last week really tough, I usually sleep reasonably well after nights but for some reason this week I just couldn't manage more than 3 hours or so a day and I was hungry all the time despite eating pretty well. Sleep deprivation has always been a trigger for me to eat. On the upside most of my older clothes are now unwearable so I need all new holiday clothes! Still don't see much change when I look in the mirror though. Challenge from here is to stay motivated when I still have 2-2.5stone to lose.

NantucketNightbird · 01/05/2016 01:39

You can do it Rince, you have come this far I'm not letting you stop Wink. I do understand though how daunting it can be. I know what an achievement it was for me to get below 11st 2 (my smallest weight since before pregnant with my youngest). I'm focusing now on seeing my weight start with a 9. I think the week of food has helped as come the Friday I was well and truly sick of eating. It also made me really spotty and hormonal.

OP posts:
Rinceoir · 02/05/2016 08:34

Well despite the nights I'm down 2lbs. That's 2stone 10lbs in total now. Perhaps being awake and moving for 20hours a day helped burn calories! I'd love to get to 3stone off by my hols in 2 weeks, but will be happy either way.
