Alevere / Alizonne

dm2ooo · 23/03/2015 11:46

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

How strange. I wonder what's gone wrong there.

Speechwise · 12/05/2016 18:58

Has anyone tried to cheese puffs - what's involved in making them and what are they like???

AFOS11 · 14/05/2016 13:13

Haven't tried the cheese puffs I'm afraid...

Lost another 2.1kg/ 4.5lbs today. Another 1.4lbs and then I can go to phase 3! So excited! Finally back to my "normal" weight (before children, wedding day etc) just want to lose a little more so I have some leeway if that makes sense

AFOS11 · 14/05/2016 13:16

Sorry 1.4kg not lbs to go...

Carrielyn · 14/05/2016 17:29

Cheese puffs?? Where?? Lol
Lost another 2lb but been waiting 3weels for bars to come in now😔

AFOS11 · 14/05/2016 18:13

So annoying about the bars - I really want some too!!! Well done for the loss

Speechwise · 15/05/2016 21:55

Hi lost 3 lb this week so almost a stone eek! Well done to everyone. Just a question are you allowed the bars in stage one?? Also chicken goujons are yum and so is coconut drink, almost like a piña colada lol :)

AFOS11 · 16/05/2016 21:40

Oh brill - well done.

Bars are restricted so you can have three a week on stage one

Speechwise · 17/05/2016 17:41

Panic! I'm sticking to the diet without fail but I'm not losing any weight so far this week :sConfused

AFOS11 · 17/05/2016 18:05

Check water intake, exercise, make sure you aren't constipated...

Sometimes my scales show nothing for days then suddenly I lose weight, sometimes it's steady.

What day does your "weigh in" week start?

Speechwise · 17/05/2016 18:25

Last weighed on Sunday. No problems with the loo and managing over 4 pints of water a day. Hopefully will see some loss tomorrow

AFOS11 · 17/05/2016 20:03

I had nothing since Saturday then 2lbs overnight! I'm sure you will have some - it's so weird this diet. I really hope you get a loss to keep the momentum up!

Speechwise · 17/05/2016 21:38

Thanks AFOS 11 main thing is I enjoy it 😀👍

AFOS11 · 20/05/2016 13:52

How is everyone getting on this week? I'm struggling with wanting some real food, although I don't know what it is that I actually want. Pretzels of all things - wishing for soft salty bread - so weird!!

Anyway, I haven't caved or cheated but it's been the toughest week for me mentally (week 7) and prepared for a tiny weight loss which won't make me happy. I'm so close to goal I think that's probably why...

Hope you are all having a better week than me ha ha

badgerbank · 20/05/2016 18:35

Hi everyone.

I've been looking at trying Alevere but wondered if anyone had any specific feedback on the Cambridge clinic? I'm arranging a visit, but would be good to hear from anyone who's already using it.

Speechwise · 20/05/2016 19:07

Afos11 same here and I'm only at end of week 3! I haven't done anything and won't but suddenly craving something but not sure what?! Also can I ask about energy levels? There are some days when I am totally exhausted and I could go to bed and sleep through from 3 in the afternoon 😳

Carrielyn · 20/05/2016 19:17

Not felt exhausted, just bored. Lost another 3lb this week tho. Still a problem getting chic bars, cheese soufflé etc been over a month now.so frustrating when we are paying this much the support and service should be top notch. Good luck to all newbies.x

AFOS11 · 20/05/2016 20:49

Speech wise - my energy levels have been amazing, probably only thing keeping me going. I was very active before and other than day 3 when I had the "ketosis flu" I have been fine at my usual high activity levels. Sounds like you might have a deficiency? Have they suggested anything? You should have your blood tests soon which could shed some light.

Craving "something" is so weird... It's obviously mental as I'm used to just stuffing my face, so don't actually know what I want, just want it.

And Carrielyn - bored is a good way of describing it!! For me anyway that tells me I rely on food and alcohol for my entertainment too much. But I'm also not good at trying lots of things and have gone off lots of the sachets for no reason. Had a "bored of salad" day on Wednesday even though salad is my favourite lunch and has been since I was 16....

Weigh in tomorrow - fingers crossed its not too crap and I can move to stage 3. Results wise this is the best diet I have ever done. I love the hot chocolate and salt and vinegar crisps. Not a good sign I only like the "healthy" crap food equivalent!! Not sure how I'm going to break those habits when I'm done....

Badger bank - not at Cambridge sorry! Good luck if you go for it!

Speechwise · 20/05/2016 21:00

I love the chicken goujons and coconut drink. In terms of eating supplements this is the best diet

Tparker · 21/05/2016 10:24

So after 4 week wait I finally had my first appointment. So paid the £85, had lots of tests including bloods and saw a lovely doctor. Was told I needed to lose 10kg max, which I knew, but here's when the problems started!! So I was told this would entail 8-9 weeks on stage one alone. So I said, 1kg loss per week and they said, yes. The problem is we travel to our home in France from 22nd July, so I'd have to do second bit on my own as its going to be so slow. Then clinic couldn't fit me in until 13th June for any treatments as too booked up and still hadn't had a quote or been through plan with anyone! So they booked for me to go back Monday and changed me another £125. So £205 paid already for a chat with a doctor and a blood test. The quote has been emailed and they have estimated costs at £800-£1000 per month. I have to say, for that kind of money I'd expect better than 2lbs a week!!! So not sure I'll go ahead, have been doing slim fast and am swapping to Yokebe on Monday and have been losing 1kg a week on that in 4 weeks I've been waiting for appt. So seems like that may be a more sensible option for me at this stage and I too may investigate skin tightening separately! Smile

AFOS11 · 21/05/2016 13:08

TParker - if you have found something which works for you I would stick to it! I'm doing this because nothing else worked this time (WW had worked the two times I needed to lose weight in the past - university over indulgence and first baby) after my second baby. Well done for losing so much already!

I lost 3.3lbs this week and onto stage 3 which, as I only have 2.8lbs left to lose to goal should only be a week hopefully. That will mean 8 weeks in total to lose 2stone 7lbs and onto maintenance! Feeling happier after my cravings this week...

Tparker · 21/05/2016 13:27

Afos11
Sounds like you've done so well. I guess you can see my thinking! If
I thought it would take 4-6 weeks I would go for it, and I think for 10kg aka 1.5 stones that would be about right, but 2.2lbs a week seems to slow and with the combination of no appointments for treatments! Maybe I'll just delay and keep with what I'm doing pre France and see how I go!! If I've failed by then I may re-look at it! But really well done to you Smile

AFOS11 · 21/05/2016 16:17

I absolutely can - I guess considering you have already paid for blood tests etc is to try it for a week? I'm losing a lot faster than they expected for such a small weight loss, but everyone is different and it's definitely not worth the money if you aren't going to lose any quicker than something which is already working for you.

Oh, and thanks!!! I feel a million times better - wish I had done this last year but I guess never too late?!?!?!

AFOS11 · 22/05/2016 12:33

My clinic had bars...finally!!

Carrielyn · 23/05/2016 23:14

Hi t.parker- the others are right, if u can lose on another diet don't pay for this one. The problem lots of us have faced is being told we d lose a stone a month, but then having losses of only 1 lb a week some weeks, despite having lots to lose. But then u are in it having paid 3 or 4 thousand, so what do you do? Others think the cost is the motivation tho...
