Alevere / Alizonne

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

I don't really like the pizza, but it can be handy. I make the base part into "herb flat bread" - with a lot of garlic powder, salt and fresh rosemary from the garden. I usually make all 7 at a time, freeze them and then have one with my salad as my lunchtime sachet. I haven't done anything with the tomato topping bit yet...

Judging by most other people's posts, I think I'm in the minority that really love the pizza! The tomato sauce is delicious. I top with sliced portobello mushrooms and spring onions and have with a large salad and Swede chips from limited allowance.
@emma889 I make the spaghetti bolognaise edible by adding loads of chopped mushrooms, green peppers, spring onion and Italian herbs, this makes it taste a lot nicer!
I lost another 1.4kg yesterday, taking my total to 8.2kg/18lbs in my first 4 weeks!
I'm over the moon

@dmacka75 - congrats on you amazing losses! You should be sooooo proud of yourself.

I had my fifth weigh in this evening (one day earlier than usual). I lost another 1kg - so 6.4kg in 5 weeks. The best bit is I now have under a stone left to get to my goal... and probably only 2 weeks left on stage 1.... cannot wait for some chicken or steak or fish.....mmmmmm,mmm🙂

Lovely to hear you are all getting on well with the diet! I am having a horrible week, the week that I cheated and had banana, a potato cake and a sausage put me out of ketosis and i didn’t lose anything.
This week it’s been a case of catching up! And boy have have I felt it! Headaches, really tired and then bursting out crying at the Sainsbury’s Xmas advert!!
No cheating again for me!
Please keep me going with all your takes, it motivates me to keep going!

Morning all!
@mrspannie well done on your losses- you are doing so well!!!

Thank you all for your help- the advice on recipes is massively appreciated!

I have just had my first weigh in and lost 2.8kg- i can't work out if that is good or not for the first week but i'm very pleased i've lost!

My start weight was 78.9kg and to get to my ideal weight for my height (i'm only 5ft1) I need to lose around 22 kilos so a long way to go yet and will definitely still be in stage 1 over Christmas and NY!

I have managed to use the swap box this morning so now have a few sachets of vegetable chilli, mashed potato, pancakes, chicken oriental soup and the oatmeal so hoping to find some new meals with that lot :)

@mrspannie do you have a chocolate brownie recipe?
I'm sure I read one somewhere but can't find it now!

Report
mrspannie · 15/11/2017 13:33

@Dmacka75

I make the chocolate brownies in 2 different ways.

  1. When using the proper Chocolate Brownie sachet, I make the brownies as per the official instructions in our starter pack... I.e. Mix the powder with about 60ml of cold water... then put the mixture into 2 silicon baking cases and microwave for 90 seconds on full power. (I'm not 100% sure it's 60 ml of water as I don't have the instructions in front of me...but normally slightly less than what they instruct anyway).

  1. When using the Hot Choc or Mint Choc sachets, I preheat the oven to 180 C, add enough water to make the mixture gloupy (but not runny), put the mixture on a teflon baking sheet and pop into the oven for about 15 mins or until set but still a little soft. Allow to cool before freezing. I call these "chocolate squishes" and normally make 7 at a time, freezing in individual sandwich bags.

I think the Hot Choc / Mint Choc "squishes" aren't as good as the proper Brownie mix, but as the Brownie mix is limited (I think it's a yellow) and I like some of the other limited sachets such as the potato one, I can't have the official Brownies every day. So the squishes are a great compromise.

Hope that helps.

Onwards and downwards....

Hey ladies.
Had to have a blood test today, in between sessions, so that’s another £55! I have tried the choc brownie mix with the apple and hazelnut mix today....still don’t like it!
Choc brownie mix is fine but the other, nah!!
While I was there, I discovered that I have a low metabolic rate so to have lost what I have is good! Yay!!
Although I cheated last week I didn’t put on any weight but I’m hoping this week I have. Find out on Saturday when I go for treatment.
Wish me luck!!

Good luck @Angielester1 keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I have a really low basal metabolic rate too; 1295, so im overjoyed to have lost as much as i have so far.
Ive not tried the brownie or apple and hazelnut yet, but had the caramel drink today and loved it! Im going to mix it with hot chocolate tomorrow and hopefully that will be yummy!

@emma889 - well done. I'd say 2.8 kg is a super start. Well done! Keep doing what you're doing and you'll be really seeing a difference in a couple of weeks.

@Angielester1 - it's standard to have a blood tests after week 3 (and I think every 4 weeks after that). I had one too. It feeds into the doctors review in week 4. Is that the same as what you're doing? Or is it an extra one on top of that? I also have a low BMR - somewhere in the 1200 range. The programme still seems to work though...

Hi all!!!
Could one of you possibly email me with a photo of the order form at all?
I have just realised that I don't have one and have stupidly messed up yesterday and eaten two of the coloured items on the same day!
If any of you have one I will message with my email address

Thanks!

Apologies - I don't have the order form with me here... One was in my starter pack when I joined and I've stuck it to my kitchen cupboard door but I'm currently at work. There have been one or two changes to the restricted sachets since I was given my starter pack (maybe they gave me an old one?), so do keep an eye out for further changes.

I can't remember it all, but I know that only 3 of the savoury sachets are NOT restricted (the pizza, chilli and the chicken gougons) so all the others are for special occasions - such as potato, omelettes, spag bog, etc. All the bars and crisps are restricted. The oatmeal is restricted. And quite a few of the desserts... tbh, I try to stick to mostly unrestricted sachets as it's just easier, with my only exceptions being the bars (I have one on a Wednesday after my weigh in), the potato (which I have about twice a week as it's so nice and quick to make) and the brownies (which are for special occasions when I need cheering up.. TOTM etc).

Have a super weekend... x

Morning everyone, how are you all getting on?
Has anyone had dizziness on the plan?
I was very dizzy a few times yesterday but not sure if its because i did more than usual as i had a day off and tackled the junk in the garage and went backwards and forwards to the tip

Hi everyone, another 1.8kg off this week so I’m happy with that :-)

Everyone is doing so well! Hope you’re all proud of yourselves!

I was dizzy the first couples of weeks, mainly from the detox. And a couple of times since, usually if I’ve overdone it.

I’m terrible for taking my supplements, or not as the case may be! Anyone have any tips?

Thats fab @BexxG well done!
Yes i think i maybe just did more physically than normal
I leave all of my supplements out where i can see them so i remember to take them (much to my obsessively tidy husbands disgust!)

mrspannie · 19/11/2017 13:54

Wow @BexxG. 1.8kg in a week is amazing. You should be so chuffed with yourself. I've never had more than 1.1kg except on Week 1. Jealous!!! I'd really hoped for a big loss this week so I could move to Stage 2 ahead of my trip this coming weekend... but I've had a sneaky peak on the scales this morning and it looks like it's only a couple of grams so far. My weigh in isn't until Wednesday, so there's still some time but it certainly wont be a big loss that I need - so it will be sachets all the way whilst I'm gone.... Oh well. Not the end of the world.

Hi @Dmack75. Yes - I also get dizzy sometimes, especially on days when I've done too much. If I stand up too quick, my vision goes for a few seconds. Is that what you get? The Doctor told me to take an extra salt pill in the mornings. Also encouraged me to take a sixth sachet on those days too. Unfortunately I've only managed to take the sixth sachet just the once as I find it difficult to fit it in from a time perspective. Unless I eat the fifth sachet around 6:30 p.m. - there's no way I could have a 6th before I fall asleep! Normally I don't get home from work until around 7:30 but I'm usually drifting off at around 10p.m., so it's proving quite tricky. Need to rethink my schedule... Hmmm

Hope you're all having a good weekend.

Onwards and downards,
Mrs Px

Could any of you let me know the cooking instructions?
Thanks in advance!

Hey @emma889

There should have been 2 sheets of A4 with cooking instructions for all the sachets in your starter pack.

Anyway - the chilli is easy.

Empty the contents of the sachet into a little microwaveable bowl. Add about 150ml of cold water and mix the contents. Then cook in the micro on full power for a minute. Then stir. Cook for another minute. Stir and leave for a minute... and then it's ready.

It tastes great, but the quantity isn't quite enough - so I normally pad it out with loads of veggies that I add at the very end (e.g. some left over ratatouille or a whole bundle of cooked mushrooms and spring onions, or even a whole packet of cooked spinach, etc). Whatever you have lying around.

Enjoy!

@emma889 By the way - Puhleeeeease - no need to apologise for asking questions! We love questions! This programme is somewhat complicated and therefore this forum is all about supporting each other through it so we can get to goal. Take care and let us know if you like the chilli...
