Alevere / Alizonne

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

I'm afraid I'm (dangerously) the same as you! Last time I did the programme I was shall we say "blocked" up... and they told me then to have a little more rhubarb and keep drinking 3 litres, etc. And when things got desperate they prescribed a particular over the counter unblocker which didn't knock you out of ketosis (called movicol). But now, with the dangerous opposite situation, I'm not sure what the solution is. I have had rhubarb every night for pudding so perhaps I should stop that... but I think the real culprit is the absolutely foul trace minerals making my stomach heave!!! Would it be wishful thinking for me to hope they tell me I can stop having it? Ha!!! Will let you know what they advise on Wednesday.

Hi ladies, been a tad busy so missed this!
I lost 1.1kg at my last weigh in, not too good, but I had been unwittingly having 2 yellows some days! So at least I lost! I’ve been good since Saturday so I hope I’ve lost this week.
I have decided that I am not going to do this over Xmas as it’s my first in my new home with my daughter so I will be eating but not overindulging. Not told clinic yet though!
I’ve been struggling this week with being hungry. I find myself wanting to eat more, esp around 11 at night. I have just been having celery sticks but I can5 see that ongoing! I bought a chocolate bar today and had a tiny piece. Hope it doesn’t affect me too much, it was green and blacks salted caramel! Omg just what I needed.
Also noticed that when I don’t drink enough water I get blocked up, or at least not as ‘loose’ as usual!
Good to see everyone doing so well. Fingers x for Saturday weight in!x

@dmacka75 thank you for the photo!

Weekly weigh in done! I have lost another 1.2kg so 4kg in 2 weeks. I don't think m losses are ever going to be huge but as long as I keep losing I will be happy. My consultant said that if I keep above 1kg a week then I am on track.

I have now found the foods that I like best and ones I definitely don't!
Favourites are:
Veg chilli (lots of veg and spices thrown in)
Chicken Goujons- I make this into a burger with spring onions and fajita spice in and have it with Courgette and Bocolli
I also enjoy the mash, hot chocolates, veg soup and the orange drink- I find them the easiest to eat and better textures than the pasta etc,

Hope everyone is having a good week!

@angielester1 - well done on your loss too. I am slightly perplexed that you're buying yourself chocolate whilst on the programme! Having a little is only going to make you hungry as it may knock you out of ketosis. I know things have been busy for you and not cheating is hard.... but the quickest way to lose the weight is to stick to the rules. Really keeping my fingers crossed for you. And good luck on Saturday. Xxxx

Ohhh @mrspannie I know, but I was stressed and Xmas shopping and due my totm and it was just sort of there at the till!! I haven’t cheated at all since then. I’ve been sticking to my chocolate brownie mix that I could eat all day if I had the choice!! Been really really dizzy today. Don’t know if it’s my hormones or not drinking enough water but it wasn’t good.
Gone off the goujons totally now, so on the orange, peach and mango, orange n grapefruit drinks. I think I might buy a beef soup this week. I had it in a cup the other day with all the onion taken out and it was like a mug of bovril! Yum!x

@mrspannie @dmackao75 @emma889 Can I still have stock cubes?
Well I had my weigh in on Saturday and again no loss, but no gain either. So strict now this week. And it is my TOTM so cravings galore. I need to get on with it I want to eat for Xmas!x

Oh man! There’s nothing in them! I use the organic ones! Also @dmacka75 fingers crossed for you!
You know if you have a chocolate bar are you then allowed 5 sachets still or only 4 as you’ve had the bar for 5?

Dmacka75 · 26/11/2017 20:36

@Dmacka75 Well done that's so good!
I have been inputting my food into the my fitness pal app everyday and have been shocked at how low my calorie consumption is- it's a pretty steady 650!
Although I feel fine on this I am definitely worried about it lowering my metabolism even more (it's already not great) but I guess that all comes down to the reintroducing foods in stages 2 and 3!

I have started dreaming that I am eating lasagne and pizza! Grin Grin
