Alevere / Alizonne

dm2ooo · 23/03/2015 11:46

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

Just a quick update. I had my first weigh in which I will be having fortnightly.
I lost 7kg so a stone in 1.5 weeks I'm thrilled.
The ladies in the clinic are fantastic if anyone is thinking of trying this diet I recommend it.

Afos11 thank you! That's amazing, I'm allergic to alcohol so can avoid that pitfall!!! Sounds like you've done brilliantly :) Did you have to wait 4 weeks for initial appt? And what is a good choice for sachets?! T

AFOS11 · 30/04/2016 20:50

Batouttahell- wow that's brilliant!!!

Tparker- no problem!! I have got on better with the sweeter pouches. So I have a strawberry shake to start the day, then a hot chocolate. Lunch depends on whether I'm at home working or in the office, but usually a salad followed by the crisps or bars, or I do the feta cheese on a salad. Afternoon is hot chocolate and dinner is soup followed by a pancake, or cookies / crumble topping on rhubarb made using the oatmeal and vanilla pudding.

I quite like the pizza when spread really thin, and the pasta is OK if you are desperate for pasta.

I love salads and soups so I'm happy to stick with those as my meal and have a sweet sachet for pudding.

My suggestion is to try a couple new ones each week if you find the name tempting... Some people much prefer the savoury and find the sweet ones too much - all personal taste I guess.

Good luck!!

AFOS11 · 30/04/2016 20:53

Oh and no my clinic saw me within a week but I guess depends on their availability. I have booked all my sessions in advance to avoid having problems in the future. Goal date is 8 weeks away - hoping to do it in less, but will still be 2 weeks quicker at least than they predicted

AFOS11 · 02/05/2016 19:59

Just bought a tefal actifry and had swede chips covered in salt and vinegar...yum!!!! Made the chicken goujons with chilli and paprika and a million times better. Finally, Mixed half a tablespoon of yogurt in with some mustard and made a dip - amazing! I felt almost normal after a difficult bank holiday not drinking...

Carrielyn · 05/05/2016 19:06

Lost 5lb this week, thank goodness. After last 3 was giving up hope. Well done Afros11, that's amazing!

AFOS11 · 05/05/2016 19:56

Hooray!! Well done and bet that feels amazing. I'm so pleased for you after your difficult weeks.

Carrielyn · 05/05/2016 20:34

Thanks. Glad didn't give up!

Batouttahell · 05/05/2016 21:31

Hi TParker
I lost 4 stones in 5 months last time, but as I said put it all back on.
This time I have even more to lose ideally 6-7stones ( yes feel like a heffer) 😔
I only weigh in fortnightly so only have the treatment then too.
My first weigh in was April 30 and I lost 13.5lb in two weeks so I am more than happy with that just wish it could all come off so quickly.

Speechwise · 07/05/2016 12:56

Hi all just completed week one on this programme. Lost 10 pounds and I'm feeling great Grin
Not feeling hungry, good luck to everyone else. Keep going it works! Start weight 14.4 now 13.8 goal weight 10 stone

Speechwise · 07/05/2016 12:57

Ps feel like this is a change for life, overhauling my eating habits completely

AFOS11 · 07/05/2016 13:08

Lost another 2kg / 4.4lbs today and onto stage two! Took five weeks which the clinic are amazed about, should have taken eight. I'm so excited to have a steak for dinner with my salad - can't believe how things have changed - 6 weeks ago I was excited by an entire Easter egg and bag of mini eggs and haribo all in one go, followed by a bottle of wine - perhaps tells you how I got into this mess! Hope your weigh ins have gone well this week

AFOS11 · 07/05/2016 13:09

Well done speech wise - fantastic first week and it's so motivating!!

Speechwise · 07/05/2016 16:14

Hi guys tried the crisps for the first time today. Salt and vinegar - they are awesome!

AFOS11 · 07/05/2016 20:04

I know they are yum!! Wish they weren't restricted

raspberrysparkle82 · 08/05/2016 11:24

Hi everyone

New here and was hoping I could ask for some advice or clarification on things as I'm considering this path for myself!

I lost 5st 10lbs on Slimming World a couple of years ago but then going back to University saw me regain nearly all of the weight...entirely my fault.

Since then I've played around with SW and lost but getting to the point where I feel like something drastic is needed as I keep going off plan...due to my job I have very little free time to plan or cook etc. Hoping thay something which is structured and leaves me no wiggle room may be a better option. My worry is cost though...why pay hundreds of pounds when I was having regular 3-4 lb losses with SW for £5 per week? I'm trying to rationalise it in my head by saying that I've not been as successful with SW since 2012 but I just can't find it in me to take the plunge yet!

I heard you could have the ultrasound and tightening treatments without having to follow the plan though...that might be an option as I do really worry about excess skin at the end.

Also, I've only seen people wanting 9 stone or less losses whereas I'm a 14 ish loss girl...would it just be too costly and hard to maintain for the length of time it would take? I'm not expecting a quick fix as I know it's going to be hard work whatever I do...and I need to change everything but I just don't know which way to go!

I read an article the other day about the biggest loser America and how their bodies had been damaged by losing so much so quickly and I'm worried that the same could happen to me.

Please help, I feel completely at sea and don't know which way to turn!

AFOS11 · 08/05/2016 15:17

Hi Rasberrysparkle82

No one can really advise you on the money side of things as only you know if you can afford it. I only have a total of 2.5stone to lose so definitely won't cost as much as you, but it's still a big financial commitment for me.

My suggestion would be to perhaps get yourself into the mindset of changing your eating / drinking habits. Maybe try following a ketosis diet for a few weeks and see if it works for you. If it does, Alevere will work in the same way but will also ensure you don't have the excess skin etc issues you would with a normal diet.

I have found the clinic are brilliant with all these questions - while they are there to sell, they also spent lots of time ensuring I was in the right mindset etc before I started.

Good luck whatever you decide!!

Speechwise · 08/05/2016 22:41

Can someone tell me the amount of water for the pancake mix and chocolate spread and the raspberry muffin too. Thanks. These are 2 random packs I took from the swap box without instructions

AFOS11 · 08/05/2016 23:18

Pancake is 90mls, once mixed leave for a few minutes before frying; and the spread is about 30-40 depending on your preference. It is usually quite lumpy. Never had the muffins I'm afraid.

sparksthefirst · 09/05/2016 13:43

Hi all, I apologise for gatecrashing and i'm sure this may well be discussed elsewhere in thread but how much is the treatment? I know it won't be cheap but I'm hoping the high cost would mean I'd stick to it...Thanks

ashleyanne2016 · 09/05/2016 17:04

Hi sparks it's not cheap I saved for a few months to do this but I'm on my 3rd week and I can tell you it works I am down 7KG so far the treatments are 125 or 130 depending on time each week but then you also have to factor in other costs such as your initial consultation which is 120, your bloods 99, supplements 65, your sachets 18.50 each you need 5 starting off, then the 70 before you do the treatment it all adds up I reckon I have spent just under a 1000 so far. So before you embark you really need to do your sums and figure out if it is right for you. Best of luck with your decision.

AFOS11 · 09/05/2016 19:42

Definitely not cheap but I have lost 13kgs in 5 weeks so it works! Cheaper than Lipo (my only way of justifying it)

libertygurl · 09/05/2016 20:01

It certainly does add up, but I think it is worth it. I have lost 2 stone in 8 weeks. And I know that I really need to see some results quickly. I am under no illusion that the losing is the easy part for me. So I am spending a lot of mental energy thinking about what maintenance will mean for me. I simply can't go back to old habits.

Frostycake · 10/05/2016 13:38

Has anyone else's clinic been out of the bars for what seems like months? Very annoying. No chocolate dessert either.

AFOS11 · 10/05/2016 17:52

Yes mine has only had bars once since I started 5 weeks ago!
