Alevere / Alizonne

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

I'm new to the group - but have spent time reading through all the thread and found it so helpful.

Had my first weigh in today and lost 8lbs - I'm amazed! I had 2 stone 7lbs to lose in total when I started so under 2stone to go.

I have found that making a thick broccoli soup for dinner and then having one of the sweet deserts works best for me in the evening. The rest of the day I'm ok with salads and shakes.

Hope you all had a good week!

Hello everyone I hope all is well I am new to this thread and was looking for some advice from people who have done this journey or currently on it firstly I have about 3 stone to lose I had my consultation with the doctor today and did my bloods ran through the program etc. mistakenly I was under the impression that my bloods were included in the £125 consultation fee - silly me!, which was an extra £100 I was not expecting, did anyone have the same issue?. My questions are on the treatments and the food packs, vitamins etc. the receptionist was not great at explaining costs etc. and I find the list a bit confusing as well. Can anyone tell me what cost I am expecting to have on Monday for my first treatment, food packs, the starter pack, vitamins etc. I just want to make sure I am not caught off guard like today, also is it necessary to have the treatments one a week or can you say have two or month etc. many thanks for all your help much appreciated Ashley

AFOS11 · 16/04/2016 10:00

I can't remember exactly but it's quite expensive for the first few weeks and then it settles down to around £200 depending on what food and vitamins you get each week. They should have given you a price list for everything so make sure you get one if not.

I was told the treatments didn't work on their own and the food didn't work on its own. My clinic won't let you do one without the other.

Second weigh in today so wish me luck! X

AFOS11 · 16/04/2016 13:46

Lost another 5.5lbs today...so 19 to go!

Carrielyn · 16/04/2016 16:58

Only lost half a pound! Gutted. I'm sticking so carefully to the plan, so 1 1/2 last week and 1/2 this is so disappointing. Still, I'm creeping towards my 4th stone off. And yes, ashleyann it is far more expensive than u think. So many extras and repeat tests. Lots of people think that's why u stick to it tho. Ask me again in 6 months- if I'm at goal, and more important, can I keep it off! Good luck.

AFOS11 · 16/04/2016 18:25

Still good though and 4stone is an amazing amount to lose!!

Have you got any tips for when you just want something you can't have? Had two of those moments - one each of the two weeks I have been on it so far. Took immense will power and a reminder of how much it costs to not have a drink or eat what I shouldn't...

Cdc1997 · 19/04/2016 22:21

Hi everyone hope your all doing well :) well was my last day at alevere today & I'd lost just over 3 stone I feel so much better and would recommend this diet to anyone it's had its ups and downs but overall been so much better than other diets I've tried.
Good luck to you all hope you do well 😊

AFOS11 · 20/04/2016 12:55

Congratulations!!! How long did it take you?

Cdc1997 · 20/04/2016 18:03

Thank you 😊 It took 15 weeks x

AFOS11 · 20/04/2016 18:15

That's brilliant! I'm only 2.5 weeks in so seems an age away, and yet I know it isn't in the context of a lifetime!

Cdc1997 · 20/04/2016 22:00

Hi Afos it will be over before you no it & well worth it I'm so glad I stuck with it Smile

Carrielyn · 21/04/2016 18:27

Arrghh! Only lost half a pound again! Saw doctor who suggests I cut out all limited list for a week. Sigh

AFOS11 · 21/04/2016 20:59

How frustrating! Has anything else changed? Exercise? Water intake? X

Carrielyn · 22/04/2016 17:06

Nothing. I follow it to the letter and haven't cheated in 4 months. Everyone had an odd bad week but 3 running?? Almost £700 to lose 2 1/2 pounds? No wonder others dropped out at this point, but I'm not- yet. Trouble is I've almost another 3 stone to go

Cdc1997 · 22/04/2016 17:28

That's so disheartening carrielyn I hope you have a better week next week it's so hard anyway without 3 bad losses in a row x

Batouttahell · 24/04/2016 09:50

Hi I am also on my second try of this diet. Originally I did it when it was Alizonne and much more restrictive. I lost 60lbs. I wasn't given the right support to be weaned off the programme on to normal foods correctly. I went from phase 3 or 4 to phase 8 and although I know it's also partially my own responsibility to have maintained this definitely wouldn't have helped my journey.
I restarted last week at a different clinic so fingers crossed as this is an expensive diet with its related therapies for avoiding saggy after skin.

Batouttahell · 24/04/2016 10:03

Does anyone on the new alevere know if you can juice the veggies we are allowed?

Susieq55 · 24/04/2016 10:16

Hi Batoutahell
Did you find the skin treatments were worthwhile when you did it the first time round? I've lost lost almost 3 stones since January but lost heart over the last few weeks as weight wasn't coming off as fast as I hoped & my skin isn't tightening as well as I hoped. I would really like to lose another 3 stones but am finding it difficult to motivate myself. The main reason I decided to try Alevere was the skin tightening treatments & speed of weight loss. I'm now wondering whether I would be better off with Slimming World & a gym membership!!

AFOS11 · 24/04/2016 14:20

I cook my veg then blend it into soup so I'm sure juicing is fine.

3.5lbs/1.6kg this week - 4kg to go to stage 2...!

libertygurl · 24/04/2016 16:06

Hi Susieq55,

I find the skin treatments are very beneficial and don't think you can get the same results with slimming world and a gym membership... Having a few bad weeks is normal, and understandably discouraging. Stay focused... it will pick up again.

I have a little over 2 stone to go and I'm super focusing on where I want to be when summer starts on the 21st of June. Take it one day at a time and you will be super close to your target at the start of the summer!

Best of luck!

libertygurl · 24/04/2016 16:08

Juicing vegetables is not recommended I was told... because juicing removes the fibre.

What I do however is blend them into a thick juice in my Vitamix - that way you keep all the fibre in.

Batouttahell · 24/04/2016 17:13

Thank you every one, sometimes you just need to ask.
The treatments are a tricky one. The science behind it means it should work. I lost 4 stone and didn't have baggy skin. What I did have was a smaller version of the same shape (if that makes sense?).
If you want to change shape then I figure the gym will be the best way to do that, remember they are machines for skin tightening not shape changing is all I think I can say on that front.
The clinic I'm going to now is using a vacuum machine and a fat cell killer which is different to the sonic machine used first time round. If it kills them off it has to be worth a try and the money in my book. I'm going to having the treatments biweekly rather than weekly as I'm attending biweekly not weekly. Will see how it goes.

Tparker · 29/04/2016 16:14

Hello Guys, I have booked my first
Clinic appointment. Was a bit disappointed as they couldn't see me until 19th May! I want to lose 10kg in total, so, about 22lbs in old
Money! Has anyone else done the Alevere plan for this kind of total weight loss? I know it seems madness, but I'm 161cm and 71kg, so size 14, but really cannot lose the last 10kg. Can easily go upwards! And in fact I've been stable for months now, but suddenly have a period of time I'm going to be at home for a few months as my husband has cancer and decided this is the moment! Any similar loss stories gratefully received!! X

AFOS11 · 29/04/2016 18:32

Hi TParker

I'm trying to lose 30lbs total. So far lost 17lbs as of last Saturday which took 3 weeks. Tomorrow is my first month weigh in and hoping to have lost another 2lbs-3lbs at least which leaves 10 to go. Found it the best diet I have ever done for speed of weight loss and not feeling hungry at all after the first 5 days. Struggling most with lack of alcohol, especially Friday nights, but I hated my weight more so losing it will be the best feeling.

The support and treatments are great too - very very expensive but worth it in my opinion x

AFOS11 · 30/04/2016 13:38

Lost another 1.7kg today, which in lbs totals 20.5 in 4 weeks - so happy! Another 14lbs to go to finish
