Alevere / Alizonne

dm2ooo · 23/03/2015 11:46

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

Hi Lou that's so frustrating but hopefully the blood tests will show why good luck x

Carrielyn · 11/03/2016 22:10

A 3lb loss this week and back to the lovely clinician. 😃 So glad after last week.
Wow Lou you must feel really let down. Put it out of your mind and keep going- you may well bounce back second week. I've been told by others to look at it monthly, not weekly, as many of my losses have been small, but I've lost 2stone in 2 months.Lots of people find the doctors original predictions are very optimistic!

Susieq55 · 12/03/2016 14:18

I've just been to WI after missing last week. Saturday is the only day I can make it & sometimes have other commitments which get in the way. Is anyone else finding it difficult or am I just putting obstacles in my own way??!! 😱 I also wonder if the treatments are as effective done fortnightly?
The good news is that I lost another 5 lbs so now 33 down in 10 weeks. Not as much as I'd hoped for but I'm sure with any other diet I'd have given up by now!
Keep on keeping on everyone!

Cupcake0310 · 12/03/2016 14:56

Hi Susie, 33lbs in 10 weeks is amazing. That's 3lbs a week and is probably the average & what everyone should be aiming for.

Personally, I would be going every week as its a lot of money to invest and in the grand scheme of things, it's for a relatively short period of time if you think of your full life span. My view is I could be pregnant for 9 months, so I can dedicate 9 months to this!

I start stage 2 today! So I've lost 5 stone in 21 weeks. Still got 2st to go!

We are all doing this for the long term benefits so please don't forget that. If it was easy & quick, everyone would be doing it. It takes major determination but we can all do this so keep going! Aim for a stone a month!

MummyMoving · 14/03/2016 11:18

Hi ladies,

I have had a first Dr appt, and due to have appt & start diet on Sat.

I am having second thoughts and worried about the cost (we could just about afford it, but it would mean very little spending on anything else!). I also worry that the 'sachets' don't sound very healthy.

I have 20kg to lose, and find it a real struggle to stick to any diet in my usual SAHM routine.

Could anyone advise me on whether to take the plunge?

Thanks all, and well done Flowers

Cdc1997 · 14/03/2016 12:36

Hi mummymoving
I can only tell you how it's been for me I needed to shift 3 stone and 6 pounds and I have struggled on every diet I've been on till now :) it is very expensive but I'm sure that's what gives you the willpower your not going to eat a chip if it costs you £50 !! I too had doubts at the beginning but I'm so glad I've done it 10 weeks in I've lost two stone & feel great. I'm not quite at target looks like I'm going to lose about 3 stone but I'm happy with that.
It has been hard & you can't really have a social life but it's 15 week of my life & I feel so much better the one thing I would say is that your head really has to be in it hope this helps Smile

Cupcake0310 · 14/03/2016 12:53

Totally agree with Cdc! Your head needs to be completely in this as its mentally the toughest thing I've done!

From a cost point of view, I was surprised how much I actually spent on food and this obviously reduced.

I had to lose over 40 kilos and now have 13 to hit target. I'm 22 weeks in and have had no life but it was worth it for me x

MummyMoving · 14/03/2016 13:11

Thank you Cdc, congratulations on your weight loss - that's amazing. I think I am in a similar boat to you, and will thank myself for doing it.

Good luck for your last 5 weeks!

MummyMoving · 14/03/2016 13:26

Thanks so much Cupcake. I really appreciate your response & congratulations on all you've achieved. Reducing social life temporarily must be tough, but so glad it's all been worthwhile for you.

Keep fighting the good fight! I'll be joining the ranks come Saturday...Smile

MummyMoving · 16/03/2016 12:43

Hi again everyone,

How is it going this week? I am due to start the diet this weekend. Can I ask for your top Alevere tips? What to get in? What do you wish you'd known at the beginning?

Thank you, am bit nervous x

Hercules113 · 16/03/2016 14:05

Hi Everyone. I am new here too. I have been on the diet for 5 weeks, then went on Holliday for 3 weeks. I tried to stick to the diet but found it impossible....travelled a lot so bars that they gave me melted, unable to get clean water at times so could not have shakes. Long story short, I ate food. Mainly steak and when available salads. I am weighing tonight and am dreading it. On my home scales I have picked up 4lbs but they are always so inaccurate. As from today a am fully back on stage 1. So far I have lost in total 7kg in I guess 8 weeks (inc the holiday. I have another 10kg to loose and hope it won't take longer then 7 weeks. The Dr seems a bit optimistic as to what is achievable in the timescale?

Cupcake0310 · 16/03/2016 14:19

Hi Mummy, my advice is drink loads of water! The weeks I didn't, my loss was less. Also be prepared for small losses and don't let it get you down. I looked at my losses monthly rather than weekly, averaging a stone a month.
You'd be better waiting to get your info from the clinic before you go shopping as it will detail everything. It's going to be tough but you can do it! You've done the first step!!!

Hi Hercules, I feel your pain with the holiday. I've been on the diet for 22 weeks now and was away last week. I stuck to the diet but was the toughest things I've done.
Everyone is different with their predictions, the more you've got to lose then the quicker it comes off. I've lost 30 kilos in 22 weeks if that helps but I had 43 in total. I'm ahead of the target slightly but I think it honesty depends on your body.

Good luck and keep us posted x

starfish11 · 19/03/2016 08:19

So I came to nice for weekend break packed my shakes packed my pills & those liquid things - the glass exploded wiping out all the vitamins note to self pack dry pill separate. Hope everyone had a good week I had disappointing loss but then 4 this week so think it does go up & down

Carrielyn · 20/03/2016 22:22

Hi everyone new! So many of us now. Just lost 3lb again so on target for 3rd stone. Hope to be on stage 2 when go away in June, as that's a real hurdle. I've put my social life on hold like most of you.

Cdc1997 · 21/03/2016 07:38

Hi everyone I had a better loss last week 3lb Smile get weighed again Tom but feel likes it's been a slow one again this week I'm getting used to the pattern though that's the way it seems to work !! One more week on phase one so hoping next weeks going to be a good one . Keep up the good work everyone your all doing so well . 👍🏻

starfish11 · 21/03/2016 07:59

We were delayed in nice & after 6 hours no access to my shakes tired hungry I caved & had a club sandwich - not gunna lie I don't even feel guilty about it. I'm back home now and have no intention of devouring any more club sandwiches will just have to deal with scales on Wednesday - keep going everyone your all doing amazing

SlimFlynn · 21/03/2016 16:12

Hey All, I am having my initial consultation/blood tests this Wednesday 23rd and have arranged to pick up my supplies the following evening. I think I have a treatment booked too - is that right?

I want to lose 4 - 5 stone before end of July. I have lost all that before, (wait for it), three times with LL. That was between 13 and 6 years ago and haven't been able to lose anything since then. I have spent a fortune on every diet out there, gym memberships, personal training etc. I just want this done so I can get on with my life and stop obsessing about my weight.

When I was on LL my weekly losses were extremely low - between half and one pound per week. All very disheartening when people around you are losing 3 - 6 lbs per week and it is not even the first week.

I will be interested to see what my BMR is. I am 57, 84kg, 152cms. Using a calculation I found on some previous pages I think my current BMR is 1340 and once I have lost the weight it will be 1044.

What an eye opener!

Thank you all for posting your results and thoughts.

SlimFlynn · 30/03/2016 10:48

I saw the doctor on 24.3 and was weighed at 83kg. The next day I had my first treatment and picked up the sachets. I started on Good Friday and had my first weigh in yesterday (Tuesday) and was 80.10 kg. Quite happy with that. In hindsight I should have waited until after Easter to start because I was doing a very intensive dance course (4 hours per day for 5 days) and I wasn't able to have the sachets at the correct times necessarily and keep forgetting to take the evening supplements. Doctor has predicted about 10 weeks on stage 1 and because I dance 3 times a week anyway, on those days I should have an additional sachet. As if it is not expensive enough anyway!

Cdc1997 · 30/03/2016 19:40

Hi everyone how are you all doing ?I had my 12th weigh in yesterday & I've lost 2 stone 7 1/2lbs started stage 2 today so fingers crossed it will keep coming off I still can't believe I've stuck to it so well but I'm really pleased I've done it I feel so much healthier Smile I finish in 3 weeks and then the hard work will begin keeping it off !! Wink

WiseToTheLies · 30/03/2016 22:20

Eek! Just arranged to meet a friend in the pub for a drink tomorrow night. What can I drink to stay on track and not ruin my diet and throw hundreds of pounds away

Will i look sad sipping a coffee?

Susieq55 · 31/03/2016 08:05

Sparkling water with ice & slice looks almost like a proper drink!

SlimFlynn · 01/04/2016 09:36

I am on day 8 today and have woken up with a sore throat, feeling flu-ey and had a terrible bout of tummy troubles. I al so feel really weak. I didn't do any exercise yesterday, and had everything I should have. Question - does this happen from time to time? DH was very concerned this morning, I was in such a state. I have let my clinic know and the doctor is going to give me a call this afternoon.

Re: the pub, Wise, I don't drink so I am happy to have a coffee when I go to the pub (in winter) and sparking water w/lemon or lime other times. Could pass for a g & t...

Roslyn1106 · 03/04/2016 09:05

Hi
I'm thinking of starting the diet and finding all your info really helpful.
I'm just wondering what the difference is from the likes of Cambridge etc? I've done that before and the cost is way less. I know there is a treatment with this diet. Is that what justifies the cost difference? Are the satchets similar idea?
Look forward to hearing your feedback.

Cdc1997 · 03/04/2016 10:16

Hi rosyln the treatments are the difference & also your monitored by a doctor all the way through so it's much safer.
They phase you off of the diet in a safe way.
I only have 2 & half weeks left and I can truthfully say the treatments are amazing I've not only lost weight I've lost it where I wanted to & my shape is much better than when I've lost weight before it is well worth the extra money hope this helps Smile

Carrielyn · 06/04/2016 17:25

Lost 5lb this week - best week since my first!- and well on way to 4th stone in 4 months. It really is worth sticking to it. Good luck everyone.
