Alevere / Alizonne

dm2ooo · 23/03/2015 11:46

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

Thanks Carrielyn they sound a lot better - but how do you make the cookies? Well done on your loss that's amazing - 4 days done now so can't wait for my weigh in on Monday x

Carrielyn · 13/02/2016 18:08

They're in the cookbook and are called vanilla and apple cookies but I make them with a full packet of apple and oatmeal instead. That are just baked 5-10 mins.

Pipan127 · 14/02/2016 18:57

Hi lovely new people! I haven't been on Hereford ages but enjoyed reading all of your posts. Good to see Bexx was on too. Stick in there girl! Well worth it. I reached target recently but had decided to pay up for the 4 week maintenance thing at the end (yes financial pain) but ok ow I need the free lifetime maintenance. Thank heavens for 0% credit cards! I have not been this weight for 32 years!!!! Size 12 jeans tooWink. I was wearing 24 previously. Lost 7 stone with my clinic and 1 st 5lbs before that. Hangs head in shame. This is a second chance and too precious to blow so I am determined to stay lovely and healthy even though it is hard. Have also had the confidence to start goi g out with a nice man recently. Life changing stuff huh? Must say he cd do with losing a few pounds but who am I .......

Susieq55 · 14/02/2016 21:18

Pipan, thanks for posting, you're an inspiration to us all! I've been on Alevere for 5 weeks & have lost 23 lbs so far. My target seems such a long way off though & I can't imagine eating the sachets for months & months to come!

bubblesMcgraw · 16/02/2016 12:10

Hi all, Pipan and Susie's postings are keeping me going this week. Week 5 weigh in tomorrow but I won't hit Susie's unbelievable 23Lb!! Just fantastic!! Am also going to try Carrielynn's apple/oat biscuits. I suppose it's normal to think, 'Hey, I've cracked this..I can do this' only to find yourself drooling at an advert for M&S food the same night [hmmm].

Susieq55 · 16/02/2016 13:55

Last night I made 6 small pancakes. I mixed sauce sachet in with pancake sachet, 2 teaspoons sweetener & 100ml water. I've just had them cold with strawberries & they were rather good!

Shellywelly48 · 17/02/2016 08:18

Hi all - well had first weigh in on Monday and lost 2.4kg. To be honest quite disappointed as thought it would be more as I've lost more in the past on slimming world the first week - but onwards and upwards let's see what next week brings. Tried the pizza for the first time which wsn't bad but trying to think of how to pep the sauce up a bit as it is a bit bland.......anyone got any good ideas??? Great to hear Pipan's story it keeps you going. How's everyone else doing?

starfish11 · 17/02/2016 09:59

alphachick007 · 20/02/2016 22:28

Hi super slimmers, wow you are all doing so well. For those of you who are losing 1lb sometimes I had that problem. I made sure I drank lots of water, stuck to 2-3 hours between meals and cut right back on the limited veg. The week I had the lovely swede chips I stuck didn't lose a thing. My therapist & doctor both said if you have been dieting on and off for a few years or have 3 stone or less to loose weight loss may be slower. They said eat lots of unlimited veg and don't graze at all. It works if you stick to it. I am now at2 lbs off my target weight but I haven't found it easy at all. Some weeks are easier than others. Keep on going I know you can all do it.

The other thing is if you go to the gymn like I have been you need to have an extra sachet. At first I didn't want to because I couldn't see the point in exercising and then eating more. But my weight loss was better when I followed the doctor's advice & eat an extra sachet when I go to the gymn.

Last thing the brownies sound lovely. If you are a lover of savory pancakes try microwaving sliced mushrooms and sliced spring onions and rolling them up in the pancakes. If you enjoy spices try sprinkling some BBQ & Grill MesQuite seasoning from Morrisons it is lovely.

Cupcake0310 · 20/02/2016 23:55

Last 4 weeks have been the slowest weight lost for me. Just losing 0.8kilos each week. 4.5kilos until stage 2 though but it's tough. I'm heading off on holiday with my sachets so I'm hoping to sweat it out!

Keep going everyone, doing really well!

Slimslimslim47 · 22/02/2016 19:17

Hi everyone the post I have just read since I was last here are so supportive of each other and shows how all of us have a different journey.
I am now on stage 2 and been in it for two weeks and really loved getting back to eating chicken!!!
I have reset my final goal as I wanted to be a size 14 and I am so I have said I want to finish 4 kilos heavier than my initial goal - so now I have 2 kilos to stage 3 and then only 2 kilos on stage 3 and then maintenance. I have started spinning classes this week so reading with interest the 6 satchets recommendation and will talk to my clinic tomorrow. I started this in October 2015 and it has been tough sometimes but getting near the end it is so very worth while. All I can say is the numbers on the scales are just that numbers and it is more about how you feel and how you want to look.

Good luck to you all and I will pop back this weekend and let you know how the impact of the spinning classes went. X

Carrielyn · 23/02/2016 15:48

Another weigh in and 4lb off! That's great for me. On way to my 2nd month 2nd stone target. The end seems a long way off tho- just keep going eh? 👌

bubblesMcgraw · 24/02/2016 19:15

Hi all, great to hear of all the good progress! Well, it is W6 WI tomorrow. I went last week but the therapist was off ill and so just had the Dr's appointment. 1.5 stone off. I've met three friends this week (they don't know each other) all have made the same comment - not how 'trim' or good I'm looking in fact there was no mention of the body weight loss) but the loss of weight to my face! The last place you want to lose it from (I've only a little mush!). I'm a bit gutted really as these are true mates who are always supportive when I've been losing weight in the past. Don't know if I'm looking for this as an excuse o call it a day or whatConfused Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Cdc1997 · 25/02/2016 09:47

Hi bubbles I have had a few negative weeks as my predicted weight loss was way out & if I keep losing like I am I will be a stone heavier than predicted at my finish date :( I actually came off here (cdc1993) because I found myself comparing my weight loss to everyone else & it was making me more anxious. Something has clicked in my head this week though & ive decided I will be the weight I am at the date I finish and I am going to be happy with that & not carry on for longer. The hardest thing is I'm sticking to it so strict so can't think we'll I won't do that to get a better loss :(
I've been having the same problem people commenting on my face (I've a very round mush ha ha ) or comments like well as long as you can tell your losing weight !! So disheartening but I've lost a stone and 7 pounds so far so find it hard to believe people can't tell !! Just ignore it & don't let it sway you.
I do have a question for people though because I've decided I still want to finish on my target date they will probably put me on phase 2 in a fortnight but I'm worried my weight loss will slow down even more and getting panicky anyone on phase 2 what's your experience of it ? I don't want to end up even more than a stone heavier than predicted :( would love your advice please .

BexxG · 25/02/2016 09:59

Hi everyone, havent been on for ages. Lovely to see Pipan and SSS47 you are both doing so well (as are all of you)

I've finally got onto Stage 3 and am delighted to be able to have breakfast and a cup of tea again. Makes me feel normal again. 10lbs to target, but this maybe under review depending on what happens as I am running out of money fast.

It has been well worth it though so yes, my advice to all of you starting is head down and just plow through. It does look like such a long time when you first start but when you finally see the end in sight it really doesnt seem like any time at all has gone by. The health benefits are huge especially for those who have a lot to lose. I remember reading peoples posts when I first started and it felt like all I could do was long for the days when I felt full of energy and wearing skinny jeans.

Now here I am. Walking the fells and forests every other day, its like I have some kind of bug or something, theres no stopping me. I have gone from a size 24 on top and 26 on the bottom, to a size 14 on top and 16 on the bottom so far. Hoping to finish on a size 14 although to be honest when I started it was never about looks and clothes and I remember saying that I would be happy if I could get down to an 18.

We really must be careful not to get into that state of never being happy again. Most of the time its in our heads. Its taking a long time for my head to catch up with my eyes and sometimes I dont think I look any different. In fact, I picked up a pair of jeans the other day and they looked tiny, and I thought well they are the jeans I had on yesterday. Spent 20 minutes looking for these jeans and had to resign myself to the fact that this must be the pair. Pulled them up and fastened them no problem. It was crazy.

I've lost 6 stone now and am very proud of myself. And I am very proud of all of you for taking this journey too. Its not easy by any means, but keep going and remember whatever size you are, you are all amazing and beautiful ladies xx

BexxG · 25/02/2016 10:07

Bubbles - I lost nearly 3 stone before people started noticing. And people always notice it coming off your face first because thats the bit of you that they look at the most. Dont be too hard on people. Sometimes people dont know what the best thing to say is so they just dont say anything lol

Cdc - my weight loss slowed when I went on stage 2, and settled at 1.5lbs every week. Was so annoying. But I ended up super tired, and super drained, and started craving things again particularly bread. The docs decided my body was not happy giving away this last stone, and had decided to keep hold of it, they moved me onto stage three early, I started on stage 3 last week, within two days I was walking up a fell (after two weeks of barely being able to get out of bed), and I lost 4lbs.

Stick in with stage 2, sometimes its a shock to your body to suddenly have normal food again, but listen to your body, and be honest and talk stuff through with the clinic. They are they to help you and keep you healthy. At the end of the day if you were paying this much money to anyone else every week, you'd expect VIP service LOL so make sure you get it Wink

Cdc1997 · 25/02/2016 11:56

Hi BexxG
Thank you it's better to no what to expect dreading it but it has to be done I guess I'm probably gonna be way off target now it's so disheartening I don't get how the doctor can get it so wrong !! I have never stuck to a diet so strict so it's nothing I'm doing :( x

bubblesMcgraw · 26/02/2016 16:56

Thanks for the support guys, it really helps! Looks like I'm trending at losing 3lb a week....would have loved it to be 4 but like cDc looks like i'll take longer until I get to stage 2. Still in 2 minds wether to call it a day or not. Probably have enough supplies for 2-3 weeks......but, I don't know. Finding it all very hard Sad

BexxG · 27/02/2016 18:30

Dont give up, if you do, everything youve achieved so far will be wasted x

Cdc1997 · 27/02/2016 18:49

I agree do what's best for you bubbles but just think how hard it's been would be a shame to give up now.x

Susieq55 · 27/02/2016 19:01

7 weeks since I started & I've lost 28lbs so far. I had to miss weigh in & treatment last week & only lost 5lbs since last WI so I'm feeling slightly disappointed. Also, I must confess that the novelty of the sachets is starting to wear a bit thin! Please keep posting everyone as I'm hoping his thread will keep me on track as I have another 56lbs to target. Whilst typing this I just realised that I'm a third of the way there 😄

Cupcake0310 · 27/02/2016 19:51

Hi all, this diet is mentally very tough and my advice to anyone is if your head isn't in the right place then it's not the right time for you to do this diet. Think about the cost!

I've had a few tough weeks but lost 1.9kilos today and went under the 100 mark so I'm very pleased. I've now lost 4.5st in 18 weeks.

My expectation is to lose a stone a month rather than concentrate on week to week. This is a long term goal and not a quick fix. The diet is about re-education for me as well as losing weight. After all I could of went under the knife for the same cost but wouldn't of learnt anything.

I'm 2 kilos from stage 2 and will hopefully of lost 7 stone (total) in the next 11 weeks.

Keep going, everyone is doing well, however if your head ain't in it, then what's the point being miserable. Life's too short! Smile

bubblesMcgraw · 28/02/2016 19:23

Hi, wow Cupcake - an inspiration to us all! Well 7 weeks and getting nearer that 2 stone half way target. I, like Susieq have grown tired of the sachets. My go to was the Hot Chocolate, but this morning couldn't even face that. I've also been reading Michael Mosleys Lower Your Blood Sugar Diet, which is an 800cal a day for 8 weeks diet. The thought of actual food is tempting....we are on 700cal a day - right?
