Alevere / Alizonne

dm2ooo · 23/03/2015 11:46

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

Hi CdC, glad you're feeling happier about things. I have had a great couple of days due to swede chips and the crispy bar! Don't panic about the weekly weight loss, if you've read the other posts you will see that it's quite common not to lose much one week but then to lose substantially the next - you'll get there. i have my 3rd WI on Wednesday (should be Friday but I can't make that one), so we'll see. I'm thinking I might only do this for 12 weeks - mainly due to the cost. Is everyone going for the full monty?

CdC1993 · 31/01/2016 17:03

Hi bubbles I'll try the swede chips they sound nice do you just season them ?
I haven't had the bars yet but tried a salt & vinegar crisp at the clinic the other day & they were lovely 😊 Think I will try the bars soon but was trying to keep off them as long as I could tried the coconut crisp one at my first consultation and it was nice.
Yeah I'm just been silly but they have said I will be 14 weeks so I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed & budget wise I don't really want to go over that if I can help it I have my 4th weigh in on Tuesday . Good luck for weds x

bubblesMcgraw · 01/02/2016 16:54

Thanks CdC. I seasoned the chips with Schwartz Perfect Shake Chips - bloody fantastic! BUT I have had two days of having a bar and chips each day and had put .2kg on this morning so think I may alternate these days. I find I am now dreaming that I have licked an ice-cream or popped a square of chocolate in my mouth and ruined the whole diet!

CdC1993 · 01/02/2016 17:16

I'll try that bubbles sounds good I have New York chip spice but not sure if it's allowed .
I keep dreaming I'm halfway down a glass of prossecco then I realise I shouldn't be drinking it & go in to meltdown because I've ruined everything !!

BexxG · 01/02/2016 22:02

Hi everyone, been ages since I've been on. So great to see so many new people here!

Hardly anyone I know from when I started? But I do recognise you Sss47! Hi! You are doing so well :-)

I am in desperate need of encouragement guys. I had a total of 7st to lose, lost 5 and a half stone in 5 and a half months. Bang on target. Moved onto stage 2 the day before Christmas Eve, which I thought would be fantastic but I am really struggling.

Despite being really good at Christmas (compared to some in my clinic) i have had very disappointing weight losses since which has been really discouraging and disheartening. This has resulted in me struggling with everything. The water, the supplements, the pinching a bite here a cocktail sausage here. I am craving carbs like never before. Up until now I have been so focussed but I feel at the moment that I am losing the plot. So close and yet so far!

I'm running out of money, motivation and willpower .......... And worst of all I am scared that I havent learnt anything about my eating habits and will fall straight back into bad ways. I've come so far but I am feeling really down on myself at the mo?

Any of the lasses at the same stage as me or ahead of me give me any advice?

Susieq55 · 02/02/2016 17:05

Wow BexxG, you have done fantastically well to lose so much in such a short time! I do wish that Alevere provided more psychological support to those of us struggling to stay on track. I've only done 4 weeks so far but sometimes find it difficult to stay on the wagon. The thing that is keeping me going at the mo is the fact that I have already invested well over £1000 in this programme & can't bear to see that money go down the drain.
I hope that today is a better day for you & you find inspiration to keep going xx

Cupcake0310 · 02/02/2016 19:31

Hi Bexx, I've really struggled over the last few weeks to lose as I had 8 kilos to stage 2. Lost 1 kilo, then 0.8(!!!!!!!) then thankfully 1.7 kilos last week but I was stressed so feel your pain!!!

Some suggestions my therapist gave me which seemed to work were:

  1. Are you drinking enough water?
  2. Are you eating enough of the unlimited & limited foods?
  3. Are you sticking to the food timings? (Every 3 hours)

When I looked at my weeks, I'd been working more hours and probably should of had a 6 sachet as they think my body went into starvation and you don't lose weight.

Went back to normal hours last week and bobs your uncle, I'm back losing!

Might not work for you but worth a mention.

Keep going, you've come too far to give up now!

Carrielyn · 04/02/2016 10:27

Fourth weighin and lost 4lb so hit the stone in a month target!👍

bubblesMcgraw · 04/02/2016 15:31

That's fantastic Carrielyn! Well done - you are right on track and i'll bet you notice the difference? 3rd weigh in this week and total loss is 12lb. Would love to be able to join the stone-in-a-month club. Got very excited in Sainsbug's grocery isle at the box of swedes. Now, that's never happened before Smile

CdC1993 · 04/02/2016 20:20

Had my four week weigh in on tues & had lost 15lb 😊 Really pleased
Bought a swede to try the chips & having bubble & squeak for tea plodding along nicely at the moment .
Tried the salt & vinegar crisps today & made a change . Glad to here your all doing so well 😊

Rowdee · 07/02/2016 21:35

A catch up from me - I am heading towards the 4 week weigh in and loss to date is 12lbs, hoping for at least 2lbs on Wednesday but would really like more. I still haven't been to clinic as have been signed off for 2 more weeks so by the time I have my first treatment I will be nearly 6 weeks in. It will be interesting to see if the treatment makes any difference to my weight loss. Have had a few down days where I have struggled and have a problem with going for a poo! Had to go for the la actives today in the hope that helps things along. I have never had this problem before, I eat loads of rhubarb and spivey food, plus I walk at least 3 miles a day. Oh well it was all going too well I guess 😗😗

bubblesMcgraw · 08/02/2016 17:05

Hi all, I'm due my 4 week weigh in on Thursday and have fingers crossed for a stone off. A bit disappointed because it's not been easy and I think I've done well BUT (and I don't know if anyone else has experienced this)...no-one has noticed! Not one scabby person has said 'Ooooh, you've lost some weight'.Sad. Roll on next month!

bubblesMcgraw · 08/02/2016 17:06

Oh, and I meant to say a big congrats too CdC - what a Star - 15lb - fantastic!!!

Cupcake0310 · 08/02/2016 17:40

Bubbles, I've lost 4st and no one says anything! People are too scared to mention it in case you take offence, like implying you were fat before! Also some people didn't mention it to me as they thought I might be ill!!!! I just mention it to people now and they are always quick to say I look great!

Carrielyn · 08/02/2016 18:31

Fifth weigh in and start of second month, and only lost one and a half pounds! I'm trying to stick to idea of looking at it monthly but it's soul destroying when u try really hard all week. All prep night before when u work long shifts is so time consuming! Heigh Ho. Only 4 more months to go..

Shellywelly48 · 09/02/2016 00:06

Well D day finally arrived and had my first treatments tonight and picked up my first lot of sachets. Anyone got any advice for the nicest ones to choose for next week as don't think I can eat the same 5 every day for more than a week!! Congrats to Rowdee, Bubbles & cdc you are doing great.
Bexx and Cupcake don't despair you guys have given me the strength to do this as I have been following your posts for months while I saved up - you are amazing 😉

bubblesMcgraw · 09/02/2016 11:00

Hi Shelly welcome to the 'A' Team! These girls are great for advice, tip and BIG huggy support! I've settled into a nice routine with my hot chocolate, goujons (onion bahji's) and cheese soufflé with lots of veg. I've also got the chocolate crisp bars for once or twice a week when resolve is fading. Your at the start of a fantastic journey Smile and we're all with you!

Carrielyn · 09/02/2016 16:06

Hi Shelley and everyone new- good luck2 u all. Support on here is great, and really useful.xx

Bebo1234 · 10/02/2016 13:01

Hello Everyone. Hope it's ok to just pop up like this but I'm due my first weigh in tmrw and I think I've got a bit muddled up this week. Can anyone confirm my thoughts that for breakfast I'm supposed to be having one sachet PLUS the egg white omelette? If I am then any ideas which is the best one to go with as I struggle to get the eggs down my throat at that time of day (30yrs habit of never eating brekkie is hard to break!).
Thank you to all the previous people posting about their experiences with Alevere, esp for the recipe ideas and for the phrase that I think will be my mantra throughout this - 'any loss is a loss' :-)

Shellywelly48 · 10/02/2016 22:56

Hi Bebo you are right as I was told to have the 2 egg white omelette (with up to max 50g of unlimited veg) and 1 sachet for breakfast too. I stupidly had the smoky bacon omelette for breakfast my first day as well as the egg white omelette and felt egged out. Second day I just had the egg white omelette with a fruit drink sachet which was loads better. Good luck for the weigh in x

Bebo1234 · 11/02/2016 14:51

Hi ShellyWelly, I was def. beginning to feel over egged too but I think I'm back on the straight and narrow. I was told today the egg white omelette is optional so I don't need to do it every day so long as I do one of the sachets. I never thought I'd be thinking about how to fit all the meals into my day but I'm getting into a 3hour cycle which is getting easier, especially now I've picked up some different packets for more choice.
Weigh in was a happy one, first half stone gone - only three and a half to go!!
Thanks for your msg, much appreciated Smile

bubblesMcgraw · 11/02/2016 20:28

Whooohooo!! Week 4 weigh in and 16lb lighter! It works (although I could still murder a creme egg)Grin

Shellywelly48 · 11/02/2016 23:01

Bebo & Bubbles well done at the weigh in - you have both done amazing - just hope I can stay on track. Definitely going to get different sachets next week as the spicy oriental curry soup and the hot chocolate are dreadful. Anyone got any suggestions for good ones to try instead??

Carrielyn · 12/02/2016 17:55

Hi there! My favourites are hazelnut or vanilla desert- have them with rhubarb from lidl in a freezer box- and chocolate brownies! Also try the new pasta, as its really nice, tho not with carbonara topping. Weigh in today and lost 3 1/2 so much happier than last weeks 1 1/2. Am onto second stone now😃

Carrielyn · 12/02/2016 18:13

Also make oatmeal cookies out of the apple and oatmeal as they are good to take to work. And you can skip the egg whites totally as long as you have a sachet of some kind. Good luck for this week.x
