Alevere / Alizonne

dm2ooo · 23/03/2015 11:46

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

Oh and the clinic told me I can now have either their crisps or chocolate bar up to 3 times a week. Anyone else been told this? I thought it wasn't til stage 2- tho I can't remember what stage 2 is..help!!

bubblesMcgraw · 23/01/2016 19:10

Hmmmm.....chocolate bar......Hi Carrielyn! I do remember the therapist saying I couldn't order the bars yet, so perhaps you need to lose a certain amount? I do empathise with you Curtain - weekends are crap! I miss a Saturday night wine and curry and bar of fruit and nut BUT that's probably what got me here in the first place Sad. Caught myself scraping the goujon mix bowl...I mean SCRAPING EVERY LAST MORSEL from the glass bottom. I'll probably have a mouth full of glass shards....more calories!

CdC1993 · 24/01/2016 09:36

Ha ha bubbles you make me chuckle 😁 I can't believe how much harder this week has been than the last two !! Made the nugget bhajis last night and when I was softening the onion sprinkled some cumin seeds on & they were even nicer 😊
Next weigh in tues & feel really bloated this week has anyone had problems at their time of the month since doing the diet I feel lousy ? They've told me to ring the clinic if I have questions but would feel daft if I was ringing all the time !!
Really stuck what to eat today hiding in the bedroom while my hubby cooks bacons sarnies for him & his mum 😩

Rowdee · 24/01/2016 10:08

Try this recipe it's delicious, I make enough for 4 portions (using 100g of limited veg per day) and have it for either lunch or dinner with veg or salad:

4 sachet of Feta cheese
400g of chopped toms
Mushrooms
Courgette thinly sliced
Aubergine about 1cm slices
Onion (from unlimited) just gives it a little extra
Spring onions
Spinach
Fresh Basil
Garlic granules
Oregano
Green pepper

Make the feta cheese up, using cling film make into a block and refrigerate.
Roast the Aubergine using a little olive oil from allowance
Using a bit more oil fry off the vegetables, add the oregano, salt, pepper and tinned tomatoes.
Once everything is cooked put a layer of the aubergines in the bottom of the dish then a layer of sauce, slice up the cheese and make another layer, stuff some fresh basil leaves in with this, continue layering finishing with cheese on top.
Bake in the oven until cheese has melted, it's delicious and keeps well in the fridge, reheats well in the microwave. Enjoy

Rowdee · 24/01/2016 10:14

Just read it and noticed errors, it should say using 100g of limited ver FOR TOMOTOES and the onion is also fron limited veg not unlimited doh!

Curtain30 · 24/01/2016 10:38

Ha ha bubbles you are funny and make me smile!! 😃 but you are so right that's why I'm in this situation and need to change my mindset into thinking chicken goujons and water are the new Saturday night takeaway..........hmmmm! 🙈 carriers that's a good loss it's still a loss isn't it but I know it's hard you just want it to melt away look at how much you have lost altogether and if you weren't following the programme where would you be now I know I would be another 1/2 stone heavier if I hadn't started this 3 weeks ago

CDC sorry I haven't had my time of month yet so not sure hope you are feeling better soon xxx

CdC1993 · 24/01/2016 11:03

That sounds really nice Rowdee 😊 Haven't tried the feta cheese yet but there was loads in the swap box last week so I'll get some to try need rid of the horrendous tomato soup 🙈😂

Carrielyn · 24/01/2016 15:57

Hi bubbles- don't know about weight loss b4 bars but I haven't lost first stone yet.
Hi curtains yes I'm trying to think any loss is a loss but then I read about an 11lb loss in 1 week, and remember I've paid more for intro and first 3 weeks than 3YEARS of weight watchers subs! - my friend lost 4stone with them, but my willpower is rubbish lol
All keep at it, and thanks4 all support for us newbies.

bubblesMcgraw · 24/01/2016 18:03

Hi all! Rowdee's recipe looks pretty good - I too will raid the swop box. You haven't got one for a nice veggie curry have you?
I also read about the 11lb loss in the first week and was sooo disappointed at my 6lb...what a bummer (11lb is probably the weight of one of my cheek bums)
Carrielyn - bloating is normal and do to all the bl*y water they make us drink Grin. Can't wait for my gourmet cheese soufflé packet tonight (it's the word 'packet' that spoils that sentence isn't it).
I was thinking that if I had any money left at the end of the month I might treat myself to a little something. What would you treat yourself to for being so Star virtuous? (no consumables allowed Smile)

CdC1993 · 24/01/2016 18:30

Hi Bubbles I stir fry whatever veg I fancy then I mix the curry soup mix with 150ml of water I add half a teaspoon of garam masala, paprika, chilli, cumin, turmeric & some garlic herbs or garlic salt to it then pour over veg when cooked for a couple of mins.
Last time I did it I put in courgettes, mushrooms, broccoli & weighed onion, tomatoes & cauliflower out and then just added some fresh coriander at the end.
I can't fancy anything tonight think I'm gonna end up with a plate of veg and a shake.

bubblesMcgraw · 24/01/2016 18:50

Hi CdC thanks will try that. Funnily enough I felt the same last night. Just had a shake and a few steamed veg. Did make me feel a bit miserable though. Worst was shopping in Sainsbury's yesterday. Went down every isle mumbling...'Can't have that, can't have that, or that, can't have that..' Dawned on me that I'll be doing dry January for six months Shock

Carrielyn · 24/01/2016 22:18

Good idea bubbles- I thought a massage when I hit my first stone in first month target, tho now not sure if I ll make it. I secretly thought it might be nearer 2 stone, as I've a lot to lose. Heigh Ho. Good luck for next week.

Melinette · 25/01/2016 13:02

Hi again guys,
Just thought I would share some of my experimenting with the food!
I have found that I can microwave the cheese or smoked bacon omelette preparation and make quick scrambled eggs which is perfect for lunch in the office with a salad.. :-)
I have also been making raspberry chocolate brownie aaahhh: Chocolate dessert sachet done in a think paste , add a few raspberries that you push in the paste and off to the microwave in a mug (as it will rise) . I cook it in runs of 30s keeping an eye on it until cake consistency. I love it!! absolute saviour. I have been precooking this to take with me when I go to coffee shops and have it with a sugar free syrup Americano.
Finally I have been doing the pizza base in the oven with a slightly wet preparation which I thinly spread with a spatula in a non stick pan. I include the tomato in it. Cook for about 10 mn. when it comes out, I cut it in 6 portions and open these up like a pitta. Makes 12 bits which I dunk in homemade salsa with a big salad and oven roasted asparagus..

All good so far. I will upload pics next tine I do these.

Happy sliming everyone! Next (and 3d) weigh in on Thursday for me.

Mel

bubblesMcgraw · 25/01/2016 17:28

Wow Melinette - I have to admire your inventiveness! Got on the scales this morning and looks like I've lost a little more. I find I'm on them every morning now as it gives me a boost if I've lost. I was also thinking about ebaying as I have 4 different clothes sizes in my (and everyone else's!) wardrobe. Roll on Friday for 2nd WI.

Slimslimslim47 · 25/01/2016 20:22

Hello to all the new people and well done for the amazing recipes and weight losses. I have been a bit quiet for the past couple of weeks - I only had 4.5 kilos to get to stage two and last week has my lowest loss ever and get quiet down. So this week I have reviewed everything and made sure I am drinking my water and was advised not to have the same sachet twice a day and I had been having the vanilla desert made into lattes twice a day - so stopped and now having different all the time.
Found some of the meals difficult this week and gone off the omelettes but still like the pizza.
Will move to Stage 2 this weekend and I am really hoping I have only two more months on this and that I will feel reinvigorates when I start Stage 2.
Take care everyone and I will let you know how I get on with Stage 2 xxx

Carrielyn · 25/01/2016 22:23

Well done slimslim- almost at stage2. And hi melinette? Sorry did I spell that right? Your recipes are really useful. How much did u lose on your first 2 weeks? I just had my third, so we're pretty much at the same stage. I'm finding the food ok, no hunger pangs, but the losses are disappointing.

Cupcake0310 · 25/01/2016 23:19

SSS47 I feel your pain! I'm 8 kilos off stage 2 and last week I only lost 0.8 kilos and the week before 1 kilo.

They advised me to have 6 sachets if I'm having longer days at work as my body might be going into starvation! Will try not have the sachet twice a day also!

Let's keep going, the food is in sight now!

bubblesMcgraw · 26/01/2016 11:05

SSS47 - keep going, you're so nearly there! I was surprised to hear the advice about not having the same sachet twice in a day. I've been surviving on 4 hot chocolates, salad and a meal, therapist said this wasn't ideal as I would get too used to shakes but didn't mention it might stall the weight loss. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't have my HC as the vanilla is too sweet for me and I'm not keen on the cold drinks. Help!!

backtobasics1811 · 26/01/2016 13:52

Hi. Very new to this alevere and finding the shakes really hard😏 can anyone tell me how to make the lemon dessert as I got it in the swap box and don't know how to mix and how much water? Thanks

Melinette · 26/01/2016 16:56

Hi Carrielyn,
I do like to experiment indeed ;-). I lost 4.6KG in the first 2 weeks. Looks like I may get another 1.5 off this week which I would be happy with. That would be almost a stone! I do have a long way to go but so far happy.
I will continue experimenting with the sachets. I have to s\y I have done a beautiful oven roasted veegie bake the other day smothered in the feta cheese preparation. another hit! it does need a little bit of seasoning but was pretty good. I still have loads more sachets to try. I have to say my brownie thing is really tasty and saves me :-).
Well done all of you. it's not so easy to adapt to this kind of eating but the weight does come off! I wanted to add that I also kept my training schedule, twice a week doing cardio and weight lifting. Gives me a little extra boost and doesn't make me knackered so all good so far..
Will keep you posted with more recipes!
Happy slimming!
Mel

bubblesMcgraw · 28/01/2016 15:43

Ok...this is a big first.....I have just been to M&S to do a food shop and have not eaten a thing I have bought in the car on the way home. Not a cookie or a lemon mouse bar or a walnut whip. It's nearly killed me, but as had another little loss on the scales at home this morning, will power kicked in! How's everyone doing? I've gone off the pizza's - can't even bear the smell of them now. Cheese soufflé is my new fave dish. 2nd WI tomorrow eek!Hmm

luckylori22 · 29/01/2016 21:25

Hello again, 2 weeks done and lost 1stone !! absolutely delighted. In all not too bad, still a little tired but I'm sure that will pass? Does anyone know how to make mousse from the lemon dessert? I have not ventured far with the sachets and tend to stick to pizza, omelette, strawberry shake and recently pancake can anyone suggest recipes for the veg? Oh and does anyone know if we can have cauliflower rice? Thanks and well done everyone for your losses, keep going it will be worth it, we're in this together !!

bubblesMcgraw · 29/01/2016 22:49

That is FANTASTIC lucky! Well done. I hope others will be able to answer your questions. I'm happy with my hot chocolate and soufflé at present. 2nd WI today and 10lbs lighter - still a long, long way to go, but it's a start. Roll on week 3!

Slimslimslim47 · 29/01/2016 22:53

Cupcake - I think just refocusing on the edit has helped this week, I was getting a bit too same foods all the time so kick started my body again and a sneaky step on the scales showed a reasonable weight loss so weigh in tomorrow and fingers crossed. Well done on being so close to stage 2 also.

All - thanks for the recipes that has helped this week so tried the on Bahjis and loved them, which is weird as I do t normally eat them, and then mixed the pizza and topping together and dry fried it as a flat bread - brilliant!!

For everyone the desserts and drinks are in my opinion a bit of an experiment and try mixing with less water to make a thick dessert - buy be prepared they are very sweet, I always add lots more water than they say, almost double and for the vanilla and caramel I add it to very very very strong cold black coffe and that counteracts the sweetness, also I didn't end up with the protein feel on my teeth.

However the vanilla is lovely hot as a custard with either raspberries mixed through it or rhubarb, then I only use about 130ml of water and pop in microwave.

Everyone is doing so well and the losses will be different for us all over the course of the programme. I had just over 5 stone to loose and have taken 15 weeks to loose 22 kilos, with 12 kilos to go.

Good luck over the weekend and just focus on you and what you want to stay strong.

Xx

CdC1993 · 31/01/2016 09:33

Hi everyone hope your all doing ok I've been much better this week I've just got on with it and I've been much happier.
I'm fine with the Drinks but I'm running out of ideas with the savoury sachets 😞 It was my 3rd weigh in last Tuesday and I lost another 3lb so 13lb in total. carrielynn I think I will buy the chocolate brownies this week and give those a try.
I tried the pancake and found them bland so I added cinnamon to the mix then when I cooked both sides spread the choc sauce on folded it and cooked again on both sides with a little cinnamon sprinkled on the outside and that was much better may try it with a few raspberries in the middle today.
I've worked out my predicted weeks by how much I have to lose & I will need to lose 3.5 pounds a week & typical me I'm panicking I have a hol booked on the 24th of April and I really want to be off plan by then !! Is everyone on track ? Hope you all have a good weekend X
