Alevere / Alizonne

dm2ooo · 23/03/2015 11:46

For reasons unknown, the name of the Alizonne diet has changed to Alevere. I have only known it as Alevere and wanted to start a new thread so people can find it under the new name.

I am nearing the end of week 1 and have lost 8lbs so far. I don't count this much as I lose 7lbs in the first week of any diet. I'll see how I go over the next few weeks.

It's a lot of work to follow but I'm getting used to it. Would be happy to swap tips with anyone - particularly on recipes.

Also very happy as I won £500 today which covers a lot of the 1st month costs!!! :)

Hi all, I think we should start a new thread for Alevere recipes. Then it would be easy for people to find recipes instead of trawling through pages and pages to find a recipe. Just an idea.

elliepupp · 16/01/2016 17:35

Great idea Alphachick. All theses tips are so useful, especially to us newbies. On day 3 and it's hard going. Practically threw up yesterday after my vanilla latte - just too sweet! I'll start the thread "Alevere Support'. Only 3 days till the first weigh in. I'm hoping that will make me feel better!

Curtain30 · 16/01/2016 19:36

Good idea about the recipe section! I really need some help week 2 and I'm struggling with the motivation I do really want to do this but it's weekends make it sooooo hard really want something nice to eat and some wine!! Any words of advice for keeping it going??? Xxxx

elliepupp · 18/01/2016 14:02

Have set up a new thread ALEVERE SUPPORT (I'm the only one on it at the mo!)

CdC1993 · 18/01/2016 15:49

its my second week & ive struggled with the savoury sachets but reading all your recipes has helped me so much so thought I'd share this I've just tried.

Got the chicken goujons and really hated the taste so I added half a teaspoon of each turmeric, garam masala, cumin , hot chilli, paprika & garlic herbs
I weighed out some sliced white onions from limited allowance and softened then mixed in to mixture
Made in to four & in oven 200 degrees for 15 minutes tasted really nice like onion bhajis.
I really like spicy food so could just adjust to suit taste :)

Susieq55 · 18/01/2016 19:18

Hello everyone!
On Saturday which was day 11 for me I had lost 4.5kg. Not a huge loss but not too bad either 😄. I'm still struggling with the Qunton (yuk!) & fitting in 5 meals a day sometimes.
Loved the sound of you recipe CdC so I tried for my dinner & it was yummy. Served them with green salad & a squeeze of lemon.
Keep up the hard work everyone xx

bubblesMcgraw · 18/01/2016 20:14

Newbie Alevere here! May I join in? First week and hard going but the recipe for the would be onion bhajis has cheered me up no end! Can I ask is anyone exercising?

CdC1993 · 18/01/2016 20:25

Hi glad you liked them it's so hard finding different things to do I lost just under 6lbs the first week & it's my second weigh in tomorrow I'm just hoping I've done well !! 😊

bubblesMcgraw · 19/01/2016 10:11

Good luck for today CdC Let me know how you get on. First weigh in for me tomorrow x

Rowdee · 19/01/2016 10:45

First weigh in for me tomorrow, at home not clinic as not allowed to travel yet post op. Hopefully tho the scales will be kind x

bubblesMcgraw · 19/01/2016 17:18

Hi Rowdee - nice to have some support from someone at the same stage! Are you finding it OK second time around? Can I ask a 'personal' question to someone who has done this before? >whispers< did your poo go black?

CdC1993 · 19/01/2016 17:41

Hi bubbles been to my weigh in 10lb in two weeks really pleased !! :)
Let me know how you do. ( & mine hasn't turned black ) :)

bubblesMcgraw · 20/01/2016 20:30

Hi, well, a little disappointed. I know its only day 6, but at the WI I lost 6lb. I really wanted a bigger number!! Hoping for an improvement next Friday. The vacuuming was exceptionally painful today (this better bloody work the price its costing). The only thing thats keeping me happy are my nugget bhaji's. And I've fallen out with DH over absolutely nothing (I can't even remember what it was now, so we're both doing the silent treatment and I'm NOT going to crack first!

bubblesMcgraw · 20/01/2016 20:32

Oh, and apparently black poo is ok Smile

CdC1993 · 20/01/2016 20:48

That's the same loss I had the first week Bubbles I was a little disappointed because I'd seen people on here have bigger losses but I'm happy as long as it's coming off .
I feel a bit crabby tonight im sure it's normal.
Made bubble & squeak cakes with the mashed potato tonight & they were quite nice.

Cupcake0310 · 20/01/2016 20:54

Hi all, all great weight losses!!!

Susie, 4.5kgs is an amazing loss, the only time I've lost more than that was 2 weeks over Xmas!

Bubbles, do not be disappointed! That is an awesome loss too! I've never lost 6lbs in a week, so definitely don't be disappointed! My usual range is 0.8 kilos to 3 kilos and I'm still ahead of target.

My aim is usual 1 stone per month, I don't pay much attention week to week. Last week I was 9 kilos off stage 2 and I'm 12 weeks in. Total loss will be 7 stone and I'm just over half way!

Don't get disappointed with what you feel is a small loss, a loss is a loss!!

The vacuuming gets better as you lose the layers but sometimes I have a more sensitive week than others.

Keep going, you're doing really well! Smile

bubblesMcgraw · 21/01/2016 12:35

cDc/Cupcake - thank you so much. I do feel better today, perhaps being a little unrealistic and impatient! Lovely to read your words as I am doing this journey, as others are, alone. Susi's 4.5kg is fantastic! I have a low metabolism so perhaps it will take a little longer. With 7 stone off - you must feel like a different woman cupcake - it takes some determination to get there!
One day at a time people.....Grin

Rowdee · 21/01/2016 21:44

Home weigh in, 6.5,lbs which I am really pleased with as very sedentary at the mo. Hoping to get the thumbs up tomorrow to starting exercise, no weigh in or treatment until 1st Feb,

Well done everyone on your losses , keep going x

Susieq55 · 21/01/2016 22:18

I had a difficult 15th day with cravings all day 😳 I really enjoyed my dinner & supper though 😄 Dinner was Spanish omelette made by sautéing peppers, onion & courgettes & then pouring over Smokey Bacon Omelette. Served with a green side salad. Supper was pancake using a tiny bit of extra water to make it thinner, flipped, covered in chocolate sauce. Popped raspberries on top & folded over....yummy!
How is everyone else doing?

Carrielyn · 22/01/2016 12:27

Not looking forward to third weighin tomorrow. Stuck carefully to plan but disappointed with 3 1/2 loss for week two. It should be dropping off me with amount I have to loose! 😕

CdC1993 · 22/01/2016 13:32

On my 17th day & first day I've struggled could cry & to top it all the fridge at works gone mental & frozen my salad 😞 No way I can eat it !! It's rock solid not missed it before will it make a difference if I don't have it ? 😕

Curtain30 · 22/01/2016 18:10

Hi everyone! Some good losses!! I'm on my 3rd weigh in tomm
Fingers crossed it's a good one 🙈 I've found this week really rough some days I'm fine then other days I think what the heck am I doing I just want to eat normal and just crave some wine and nice food!!! Any words of wisdom??

CDC - this week I have hardly eaten any additional things from my sachets just haven't had the time so I will see tomm if it affects weight loss and will let you know hope you are feeling a little bit better this is definelty a roller coaster journey!!

bubblesMcgraw · 22/01/2016 18:58

Hi all, Hang in there curtain Grin we're all playing the long game - it will be worth it come the sunny days! I too have struggled today. The joiner who I gave tea and gulp biscuits to this morning caught me sniffing the milk chocolate (can't even bear to write it) biccies -they smelt soooo good. Bhaji's for tea - can't wait x

Curtain30 · 22/01/2016 19:25

Awww thanks for that bubbles you really made me giggle when I read that about the biscuits funny enough I did the same to my daughters tea!!!! How are you managing weekends? I find them tough weekend is our usual wind down with wine and a takeaway! X

Carrielyn · 23/01/2016 15:42

Third weigh in and only a 2lb loss sigh😢 Will keep going. I'm being so careful tho
